Le Méridien Angkor

"First Time in Seamreap"
I’m currently staying at Le Méridien with three more days to go, and I’m thoroughly enjoying the property. I usually wait until the end of my stay to write a review, but I had to share my experience so far. I was fortunate to be greeted by Akiko, a super professional and attentive Japanese staff member, who gave me a quick tour of the massive property. The gym is well-equipped, with free weights up to 30kg, plus the usual cardio machines. Mr. Tert and Mr. Mon oversee the pool, and the staff truly can’t do enough for you. The hotel is lavish and hoity-toity without feeling pretentious. Many Japanese and Hong Kong travelers stay here, so standards are very high—but you won’t feel out of place. On the slightly cheeky side, a cup of coffee at the ground-level café costs over $5 USD, and it’s certainly not “monk-blessed”! Check-in can be a bit formal and drawn-out, but I don’t mind carrying my bags to the room myself—it avoids any awkward tipping obligations. Tuk-tuks to Pub Street are only $2 USD, making it very convenient. The local people are like sunflowers: warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You’ll feel safe and cared for in Siem Reap, especially at Le Méridien. Enjoy your holiday!
"Angkor Wat visit."
A fantastic hotel with incredibly friendly and helpful staff at reception, concierge, and the restaurant. We were very pleased with our overall stay.
"Pleasant but a bit tired"
The hotel makes a strong first impression with a very impressive foyer — large, spacious, and with high ceilings. That said, the property is showing its age, and our room, while comfortable, felt a bit dated. The swimming pool was lovely, and the inclusive breakfast offered a huge variety, though the dining area felt somewhat “industrial” due to the number of guests it serves. The staff were all very helpful and charming, making our stay pleasant. Our only frustration was the café in the foyer, where two small Americanos cost nearly $10 USD. With no menus displayed, there was no way to know the price beforehand, which felt excessive.
"Great massage!"
I had a 90-minute aromatherapy massage with Leang after a long day mountain biking around Angkor Wat. The next day, I felt no soreness—so thankful! Leang was kind and exceptionally skilled, applying deep pressure where needed and gentler touch where the body required it. The spa is small but well-appointed, and the staff were very friendly. Highly recommended!
"Get the promo"
We took advantage of the $40 promo, which included a one-hour massage and 20-minute foot reflexology. The space is nice and relaxing, and they offer both hot and cold tea. The staff are friendly, and the masseurs are skilled.
"Great Hotel and Great Spa."
We visited Siem Reap and stayed at Le Méridien. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and everything worked perfectly. The location is ideal, just at the gateway to Angkor Wat. We also used the spa, which was an unforgettable experience—don’t miss Kim and Nich, they are fantastic!
"Relaxation in comfort"
After a long and tiring day exploring the Angkor Wat and Bayon complexes, my wife and I decided to unwind with a massage and a dip in the pool before heading out for cocktails and dinner. The massage was very soothing and professional, melting away all the aches and muscle tension. After six hours of walking and climbing stone steps, it was exactly what we needed. Highly recommended!
"So nice! We canceled dinner reservations for more"
After a long day climbing the temples, our legs and feet were exhausted. We debated whether to get a massage at the hotel or go elsewhere for a cheaper option, and we’re so glad we chose the spa at Le Méridien. We started with a one-hour foot rejuvenation and a one-hour Swedish massage, and it felt so amazing that we canceled our dinner reservations and immediately booked an additional 1.5-hour massage each that same night. Our masseuses—Kim, Thany, and Rany—were fantastic. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience! 🙏
"Serene Surroundings but Creaky Bed"
The hotel has sprawling grounds about 10 minutes from town, set in peaceful surroundings. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that the beds were creaky and squeaked with every turn.
"Great service and value"
Our family of four visited Angkor Wat and spent an afternoon at the Le Méridien spa—we all loved it! Dad enjoyed a full-body massage, Mom had a foot massage, and all four girls got mani-pedis. The staff were super friendly, and the prices were very reasonable, especially with SPG discounts. We highly recommend this spa if you’re staying at the hotel or nearby and need to refresh after hot days touring the temples!
