"Great Service but Very Old hotel."
The service at this hotel is truly outstanding—11/10! The staff went above and beyond, making our stay very enjoyable. However, the hotel itself is quite dated and in need of renovation. In our room, the carpet was torn, light switches were broken, and some cabinets didn’t close properly. On the positive side, the room layout, with separate living and sleeping areas, is excellent—perfect for families who need space to spread out. Overall, superb service compensates somewhat for the worn facilities, but the hotel could benefit from updates.
"New Image"
This Marriott “Premium” property is currently undergoing renovations, and after a recent stay, here are my observations. The service remains excellent across all areas, which is a major positive. Regarding the room updates, there are some improvements: the carpet has been replaced with wood flooring, the new décor brightens the space and feels modern, and the tubs have been replaced with rain and handheld showers, which is nice. However, some changes are less favorable. The removal of the separation between the bedroom and living area makes the space feel larger but eliminates noise isolation from the hallway and elevator, which can be disruptive. The sink was relocated to a small area between the living room and bedroom, and the vanity mirror was removed. The new furniture, while appreciated in style, is of very low quality, and the small table resembles a basic café cabinet. Overall, while the hotel maintains excellent service, the room renovations give the impression of a lower-category business hotel rather than a premium Marriott property.
"Fantastic staff"
I cannot say enough about this hotel and its incredible staff. I am usually hard to please, yet everything about our stay was phenomenal. The team was exceptionally kind, friendly, and accommodating—truly going out of their way to make us feel delighted. After just one day, the staff already felt like friends, and over our five-night stay, they consistently checked in on us, asking about our day and ensuring everything was perfect. WELL DONE, WELL DONE, WELL DONE—this hotel delivers an unforgettable experience!
"Excellent only missing…"
The breakfast at the hotel was very rich and varied, offering plenty of options to start the day. However, the fruit selection could be improved, as some items were dry and lacked flavor. In addition, the hotel bathrooms could benefit from a bit more maintenance to ensure everything is in top condition. Overall, it was a comfortable stay with minor areas for improvement.
"Le Meridien Mexico City Reforma is a gem!"
Excellent stay! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The rooms are generously sized, and the property offers wonderful amenities, including a pool, fitness center, and restaurant. Its location is ideal—within walking distance to the historic district and convenient for exploring other attractions via metro and bus. The staff were professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. Special thanks to the concierge associates, Vanessa and Jose, who made our excursions seamless, and to our camarista, Reyna, who kept our suite so inviting that returning each night after a full day of exploring was a pleasure. The onsite restaurant, La Gloriosa, is fantastic—fresh food, great variety, excellent service, reasonable prices, and the best margaritas we have ever had. This hotel truly exceeded our expectations!
"Méridien Hotel review"
Our room layout worked perfectly for our family of three adults. The beds were comfortable, and the pullout sofa functioned well for additional sleeping space. The room was clean, though the carpet and furniture in the main area could use updating. We learned that leaving the room without placing a key card in the entrance slot, which powers the room, resulted in a warmer room upon return. The service was very good, and the continental breakfasts provided a great start to each day. The hotel is located on a busy intersection but in a pleasant neighborhood, and overall, we were very pleased with our stay!
"Urgently needs repair and improve breakfast and room Service"
The hotel’s best days seem to be behind it. While the rooms are huge, they feel very old and are in urgent need of renovation. Everything—from the furniture to the décor—shows its age. Breakfast was disappointing, with limited bread options, overcooked eggs, and fruits that were not fresh. Room service also fell short; the fillet I ordered appeared processed rather than a proper cut of meat. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and efficient, providing attentive service that made our stay more pleasant despite the other shortcomings.
"Location and Experience were great!"
We had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel. Jose, the bartender, and Hugo, who served breakfast, were exceptional—their attention to detail and care for guests made us feel valued and welcomed throughout our visit. During our stay, there were demonstrations and protests across the street and throughout the city. While not the hotel’s fault, it would have been helpful to receive a heads-up if the hotel was aware. This is simply a reminder of city life in a vibrant, bustling location. The property and rooms were very well maintained. The gym offered a good variety of equipment, and the pool and sauna provided a perfect place to relax. Overall, we would gladly stay here again—the location is fantastic, and the service truly makes the experience memorable.
