"Lorena Bus Breakdown Raises Concerns"
Today, July 9th, I traveled on the Lorena bus from Bandar Jaya, Central Lampung, to Kudus. The bus had been experiencing problems since Palembang, yet the journey continued. Unfortunately, the vehicle broke down in Kalianda, even during this critical MLM period. I am concerned about Lorena’s responsibility in this situation and how such incidents are addressed for passenger safety and compensation.
"Unreliable Bus Service Causes Frustration"
The bus company promised arrivals by 1 o’clock, but by 3 o’clock, no vehicles had arrived. This level of service is extremely disappointing, as it leaves passengers stranded and frustrated. Some travelers even had to leave their families behind, showing that the company fails to keep its commitments and manage schedules reliably.
"Disappointing Terminal Service Overshadows Lorena Bus Experience"
We chose Lorena bus for our journey from Bogor to Pekanbaru and back, but the experience at the AKAP Pekanbaru terminal was frustrating. On April 11, 2025, we asked about the departure schedule to Bogor, only to be told there was no information available. Our bus, scheduled for 14:30, ended up departing at 18:00 without any prior notification. To make matters worse, the terminal representative was dismissive, telling us that if we didn’t buy our ticket from them, we shouldn’t ask questions and should instead contact the point of purchase. Such unhelpful and rude behavior from staff left a very poor impression and overshadowed the actual bus service.
"Avoid Lorena for Long-Distance Trips – Extremely Inefficient"
I took Lorena from Tanjung Enim to East Bekasi (Bulak Kapal) and the experience was extremely frustrating. On two previous occasions, passengers had already been forced to transfer to another bus, and this time the bus still failed to reach the East Bekasi terminal directly. Instead, the bus was rerouted repeatedly, taking a full 24 hours to complete the journey. Forcing passengers to accept such inefficient routing is unacceptable, and I strongly advise avoiding Lorena for long-distance trips.
"Poor Service and Delays – Not Recommended"
Just sharing my experience for those considering this transportation service. We purchased tickets for a trip from Malang to Lampung. The departure was delayed by almost 3 hours, and then we had to transit in Jakarta. After more than 3 hours, there was still no clear information about the onward departure to Lampung. When we asked the staff, they had no answers and just told us to wait with no guaranteed schedule. The service is really not recommended – management is poor, facilities are minimal, and the ticket prices are expensive for the value provided.
"Horrible Bus Experience – Infested and Leaky"
The journey from Depok to Pekanbaru in 2024 was extremely disappointing. The bus was infested with fleas, leaving itchy bumps all over my body. On top of that, the roof of the bus leaked when it rained. So far, we’ve only reached Lampung, and I can only hope to arrive safely at Pekanbaru. This trip was far below expectations.
