"Lovely Food, with a Few Timing Issues"
Had a lovely meal at Mallow. We ordered a selection of plates, expecting them to arrive together, but they were brought out in two separate batches. Unfortunately, this affected the overall balance of the meal—our first round consisted mostly of soft, creamy dishes, so the variety in texture we were hoping for was missing. We definitely preferred the small plates; the larger dishes felt a bit unbalanced—for example, one had far too much beetroot. That said, the rosemary fries were amazing, the gluten-free bread was very nice, and the tres leches cake was hands down the most delicious dessert ever! Service was good, the space was clean and stylish, and the toilets were spotless. Overall, a great experience with just a small note on pacing.
"Incredible Vegan Chicken Burger!"
Hands down the best vegan chicken burger I’ve ever had! The outside was perfectly crispy while the inside was succulent, moist, and so realistic it made me question whether it was actually vegan. The dishes and drinks are definitely on the pricey side—especially the mocktails at £10—but they were packed with flavour and worth trying. A bit of a splurge, but a delicious one!
"A Delightful Dinner with Seasonal Flavors"
I came here for dinner and enjoyed the seasonal menu. We sampled a variety of dishes, all beautifully presented and full of flavor. Sharing four small plates, I especially liked the cassava and the white bean garlic hummus, both very tasty. For mains, we had the mapo tofu, followed by a rich chocolate ganache pudding for dessert. While the portions were on the smaller side and could be a bit more generous, the overall experience was enjoyable. The ambiance was pleasant, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore well-balanced flavors and look forward to returning to try the summer menu.
"Outstanding Service and Incredible Food"
The staff here were exceptional, which really surprised me since I’m so used to cold service in London. We felt truly comfortable throughout our visit, thanks especially to our waiter Keylin (hope I spelled that right!), who had great banter and was really helpful with menu recommendations. The food was absolutely incredible, and I’ll definitely be telling all my friends about this place. Without a doubt, I’ll be coming back!
"Garlic-Lovers’ Delight and Warm Hospitality"
My favorite dish was the gyozas—if you’re a fan of bold garlic flavors, these are absolutely perfect. The staff were very welcoming, and I truly loved the service!
"A Serendipitous Vegan Gem by Southwark Cathedral"
I happened upon this vegan/vegetarian delight right in front of Southwark Cathedral—and I’m so glad I did! Chidera, my kind and thoughtful server, gave excellent recommendations. The tofu fritters and pan-fried dumplings were absolutely delicious, perfectly complemented by a fresh carrot-beetroot-lime juice. The chocolate ganache pudding with rosemary was divine, and the chai latte felt like a warm hug. Huge thanks to Chidera for being so considerate and passionate about the dishes. And thank you, Mallow, for one of the best meals I’ve had on my London trip! Cheers!
