"The only place to stay for the ultimate in Left Bank chic"

My recent stay at this Left Bank Palace was exceptional for three reasons. First, the building itself: commissioned by the family behind Le Bon Marché across the street, it’s an Art Nouveau masterpiece recently reimagined by architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte—a perfect fusion of heritage and modernity. The hotel’s legacy is rich with history; artists and icons from Picasso to Josephine Baker once called it their haunt (one bar fittingly bears her name), and it continues to attract French actors, artists, and writers today. Second, the property’s recent transition to Mandarin Oriental feels like an ideal pairing. Their renowned precision and savoir-faire have elevated the guest experience without compromising the Lutetia’s soul and distinct character. But what truly makes this place exceptional is the team. The service is warm, polished, and genuinely personal—never mechanical. I must commend Marie-Anne and her fantastic concierge desk, Arthur in F&B, the wonderful doormen (André?), the Bar Joséphine crew, and many others whose names I’m sadly forgetting. It remains the only Palace hotel on the Left Bank, and it feels every bit as unique as that distinction suggests. I’m already planning my return.

"The Palace in the left bank"

A truly beautiful hotel with outstanding design and architecture. The furniture, linens, and amenities are all of top quality, carefully chosen to create a refined atmosphere. From the outside, it feels authentically Parisian, while the interiors offer a contemporary aesthetic with just the right touch of French charm. The rooms are a bit small but undeniably classy, and the bathrooms are surprisingly spacious, bright, and well designed. The location is also ideal — quieter than the bustling Right Bank hotels, making it perfect for a more relaxing stay. The breakfast restaurant is beautifully decorated, though the service could be improved. My coffee order never arrived, and after waiting 20 minutes, I asked for tea instead — which also took a long time. Housekeeping, however, was excellent — attentive and thorough. Billing was slightly confusing as I was charged for breakfast even though it was included in my room rate. For early departures, the takeaway breakfast could also use improvement — there were no options for coffee, tea, or juice, and the selection was limited mostly to sweet pastries. Overall, it’s a wonderful hotel for a one-time stay, offering a perfect medley of history, design, refinement, and modern comfort.

"Fabulous trip—yet again!"

Delightful and elegant, this hotel offers an experience defined by warmth, sophistication, and flawless hospitality. The staff are truly exceptional—always ready to go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The spa and gym are both excellent, with the pool serving as an added touch of luxury and relaxation. While the rooms are on the smaller (and pricier) side, they are beautifully designed and thoughtfully appointed. If you can, opt for a room with two bathroom sinks—the single-sink layout can feel a little tight. The location couldn’t be better, and the lively bar adds an energetic Parisian touch that completes the experience. A perfect stay in every sense!

"Beautiful touches"

We were warmly greeted by friendly staff and stunning floral arrangements upon arrival. Our room on the 7th floor had a charming walkout balcony with a partial view of the Eiffel Tower. Decorated in elegant dark blue and silver tones, it felt both luxurious and cozy. The spacious bathroom was impressive—and the hair dryer was honestly the best I’ve ever used! As we were celebrating birthdays, the staff surprised us with a beautiful balloon and flower display, along with a chocolate cake and fresh fruit—such a lovely gesture. The 90-minute massage at the spa was heavenly, and the perfectly heated pool made the experience even better. The location is also very convenient, with Metro line 12 right outside. A few minor downsides: the hallway temperature was uncomfortably warm, breakfast options and quality were average, and the dedicated spa elevator was out of service, meaning guests had to walk through the lobby in robes. Despite these small inconveniences, the staff’s kindness and professionalism made our stay truly enjoyable.

"Excellent 5 star plus more…"

We had a wonderful stay at the Lutetia Mandarin Oriental Paris. From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. A special thank you to Leane, the receptionist, who greeted us with such warmth and professionalism. She took the time to show us around the hotel and escorted us to our room with a smile, answering all our questions along the way. The rooms were beautiful and extremely comfortable, with high-quality bedding that ensured a restful night’s sleep. We particularly appreciated the luxurious Chopard products in the bathroom — a lovely touch that elevated the experience. Breakfast was delicious, with a wide variety of options and exceptionally attentive service. Special thanks to the valets as well, especially Gilbert, whose kindness and engaging conversation made every interaction a pleasure. My son was also delighted by the thoughtful attention of the staff and the little surprise prepared for him. Many thanks to the entire team for making our stay so memorable — we can’t wait to return!

"Professional attention to detail"

Overall, it was a very good and pleasant stay. I appreciated the room upgrade, the cleanliness, and above all, the sincerity with which each staff member carried out their work. The attention to detail was excellent—small touches like organizing my computer cords, providing glasses, and even offering hangers for my swimwear really stood out. The only downside was a slight inconvenience when I wasn’t able to retrieve my luggage at the exact time I requested. Aside from that, everything else was handled with care and professionalism, making it a very satisfying experience overall.
