"Great Flavours Undone by Poor Service and Cold Plates"

We dined here on May 9, 2025 at 9pm and, unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. While the food had promise in terms of flavour, it was let down by service issues and temperature problems. The staff overall seemed quite inexperienced, occasionally veering into rudeness. When we requested side plates, we were given visibly wet ones—and only after pointing this out were they replaced. Our waitress was noticeably dismissive, even shrugging when we asked about the status of our mains. We waited a long time for our starters, which arrived stone cold. Despite the temperature, they were tasty, so we chose to eat them rather than wait again. I informed the manager in hopes that the mains would come out hot, but only one dish was properly warm—the other was lukewarm at best. To his credit, the manager was understanding and made an adjustment to our bill, which we appreciated. Overall, there’s definite potential in the kitchen, but until the service improves and food is served at the right temperature, it’s difficult to recommend this spot with confidence.

"Promising Menu Let Down by Inconsistencies"

Mildreds Soho has the potential to be a lovely dining spot, but our visit was unfortunately marred by a few letdowns. While much of the food was tasty, we were served stale focaccia and experienced inconsistent service throughout the meal. We tried to share some honest feedback but felt it wasn’t fully acknowledged, which was disappointing. As big fans of Mallows, we were hoping for a similarly polished experience here, but it fell a bit short. That said, we’re hopeful this was just a one-off and plan to return to give it another try.

"Flavour-Packed Vegan Fusion That Impresses (Even for Non-Vegans)"

Visited for the first time and was initially puzzled by the globally diverse menu—think Indian, Middle Eastern, Sri Lankan, Korean, American, Italian, and British influences all in one place. It took a moment to decide, but we opted for the Korean fried chicken burger, the seasonal Christmas burger, arancini, and finished off with a butter rum sticky toffee pudding. Despite the broad range, the vegan dishes were impressively executed and full of flavour. The Korean burger was messy but delicious, with a sauce that complemented it perfectly. The arancini were also a hit, and the dessert was the highlight—rich, warming, and satisfying. The space is quite compact—expect to be shoulder to shoulder—so reservations are definitely recommended. Though the place was packed, service was decent and the staff managed the busy atmosphere well. Food took a little while to arrive, but given the crowd, it was understandable. I'm not vegan, but I genuinely enjoyed everything. This spot is well worth a visit for anyone looking for creative and flavourful plant-based food.

"Great Atmosphere, but Food Fell Short of Expectations"

The decor was stylish and inviting, and the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit. We opted for the sharing/taster menu, which featured twelve vegan dishes—a concept we were excited about. While it's fantastic to see a fully vegan menu with such variety, we found most of the dishes to be underwhelming. Out of everything we tried, only the arancini stood out as something we’d be keen to order again. Overall, a lovely setting and commendable concept, but the food didn’t quite live up to the ambiance.

"Delicious Vegan Desserts & Stellar Service"

This vegan restaurant offers a great selection of gluten-free options, and the desserts truly shine. The tiramisu is outstanding—you’d never guess it’s both vegan and gluten free! The crème brûlée was also enjoyable, though the cardamom was a little strong for my taste. Service here is consistently excellent. The staff are attentive, friendly, and well-informed about allergens, which made both of my visits smooth and enjoyable. Yes, it’s on the pricier side, but the quality and care make it well worth the treat. Highly recommend, especially for dessert lovers!

"Delicious Food and Friendly Vibe, But Uncomfortably Crowded"

I loved the gorgeous food here—had the hot mango glazed “chicken” burger and the rum coconut sticky toffee pudding for dessert, both absolutely delicious. The burger might be one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had, with a complex, balanced flavor rather than a single overwhelming taste. Everyone else in my group enjoyed their meals too, and by the end, I was completely full. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant’s vibe was great. The cool wall drawings added a nice touch to the atmosphere. However, the biggest downside was just how overcrowded it felt. The tables were packed so tightly that I literally couldn’t get up to go to the restroom without the neighboring table needing to move as well. At 5'3" and 9 stone, and with one of the better seats, I found this pretty unacceptable. For larger guests or anyone with mobility issues, it would be even more difficult. I get that management wants to maximize covers, but this cramped setup really hurt the overall dining experience. It’s a restaurant, not an airplane—people should be able to get in and out of their seats without disturbing others. This issue alone makes me take a star off.

Fully vegetarian with many vegan dishes. While more casual, they offer upscale dining in stylish surroundings.
