"Lovely hotel in Rome"

I recently stayed at this hotel with my boyfriend, and overall we had a lovely experience. The room and bathroom were a good size, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is convenient—within walking distance to the nearest metro station and plenty of nearby spots for food and ice cream. Lucia was extremely helpful, staying in contact with us to ensure we could access the building easily. There is a lift to assist with luggage on the 5 flights of stairs. The road below can be a bit noisy at night from traffic, but it didn’t bother us much. The only minor issue was that the shower wasn’t as warm as we would have liked, and there was no one on-site to assist, although Lucia had provided her contact info in case we needed help. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and we would definitely return in the future.

"Low value for money, road noise."

The property is conveniently located, within walking distance of the stadium and about a 30-minute walk to the city center. Ms. Michela was exceptionally kind and helpful, always ready to accommodate our requests. It was also convenient to have a bar nearby for breakfast. However, there were a few drawbacks. The traffic noise from the road in front was quite disruptive, especially at night. The shower lacked a proper soap holder, and the bathroom pump activated with each rinse, creating additional disturbance. There were also minor signs of superficial wear throughout the property. Additionally, the air conditioner’s airflow was directed right at our bed, which reduced overall comfort. Despite these minor issues, the friendly host and convenient location made for an enjoyable stay.

"I would return without hesitation"

Our experience at this bed and breakfast was truly impeccable. The accommodations offered everything we could need and more. Michella’s hospitality was outstanding—super friendly and attentive. The location is unbeatable, making it easy to explore the area. Highly recommended!

"Awful avoid"

The B&B is in a convenient neighborhood close to trams and well situated for exploring the city. The room itself was lovely – very large, open, and beautiful. However, the experience quickly declined. Every time I ran the water or flushed the toilet, a very loud grinding noise occurred. I was told this was due to “organic facilities,” but it made it impossible to have a peaceful shower, and even using the toilet late at night was uncomfortable. Occasionally, there was also an unpleasant sewer-like smell. The room was cleaned during the first three days without issue. On the fourth day, I left for Florence early and returned in the evening to find it hadn’t been cleaned. When I messaged to request cleaning the next day, I received a rude response about needing to hang out a “clean my room” sign. This was confusing, as I hadn’t needed to do this on the previous three days, despite leaving at the same time. Additionally, I received a note instructing me not to leave towels on the floor, even though the bathroom tag clearly states that towels may be left on the floor or bidet. There was also a comment about using face wipes, which was actually makeup residue from washing my hair. This came across as petty and unnecessary. Communication with staff was poor throughout. At one point, a taxi driver was given the wrong airport destination, which I fortunately caught in time. The building itself is old and run-down, the lift is frightening and difficult to operate, and the B&B is located on the 5th floor, which requires a lot of climbing. Overall, the experience left a sour taste. The combination of plumbing issues, lack of clear communication, rude notes, and general pettiness makes it difficult to recommend this B&B. For a slightly higher price, a hotel may provide a more comfortable and stress-free stay.

"Nice place near Vatican"

The location of this B&B is perfect—just steps from Ottaviano subway station, with several great options nearby for breakfast, including American-style choices. The accommodations were very clean, and the host was lovely and speaks English. She even sent me a message before my arrival to confirm my timing. Despite my flight being delayed, she was there to welcome me, which I really appreciated. I would definitely stay here again!

"Lost $ due to Pandemic"

I was really looking forward to visiting Italy this year and was heartbroken when the pandemic hit, forcing me to rebook into 2024. Out of all the tours, trips, and accommodations I had booked, Milizie 76 Gallery was the only one that would not reimburse, credit, or even attempt to find a solution that worked for both parties. I would have gladly rebooked for another date, but the owner refused. While I understand that everyone’s travel plans have been disrupted, some effort toward a fair resolution would have gone a long way. This could have been a great stay, and I was truly looking forward to experiencing Rome through this B&B. I am very sad that it wasn’t possible.

"The ideal accommodation in Rome. The best B&B ever."

Milizie 76 Gallery is a true five-star Bed & Breakfast in Rome—an ideal choice for any discerning traveler. Location: The B&B is perfectly situated just a 10-minute walk from the Vatican (St. Peter’s Basilica) and mere steps from the Ottaviano metro station. It is also surrounded by charming cafes, traditional Roman trattorias, mini-markets, and a variety of shops, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Accommodation & Infrastructure: Housed in an elegant building within a quiet residential area, Milizie 76 Gallery has recently undergone a major renovation. The interiors are contemporary, polished, and stylish, featuring modern furniture, designer pieces, and tasteful decor. Everything feels fresh and meticulously maintained. Cleanliness & Maintenance: The B&B is spotless, neat, and impeccably cared for, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for guests. Ideal For: Families (I stayed here with my teenage children), couples seeking a romantic getaway, and solo travelers alike will find this B&B perfect for their needs. Recommendation: I wholeheartedly recommend Milizie 76 Gallery to anyone visiting Rome. It is, without a doubt, one of the best B&Bs I have ever experienced!

"A nightmare staying . Pessimo soggiorno della mia vita lavorativa"

This was one of the worst stays of my working and traveling life. From the start, the owner demanded payment before I had even brought in my luggage. She forgot to include the city tax, then later asked for the missing €20. A month after my stay, I was charged again for the same amount, forcing me to spend hours on the phone and in emails proving the charge was incorrect. I would caution anyone to be extremely careful with their credit card here. The building is old and deteriorating, the lift is almost unsafe, and the rooms are tiny and noisy. My first room had a claustrophobic bathroom, broken toilet, and unbearable traffic noise. When I requested a change, the second room also had major issues: a broken door, malfunctioning shower, uncomfortable beds (only one prepared), and no breakfast. Cleaning did not happen for nine nights, towels and sheets were never changed, and trash could not be left in the corridor. Staff were unfriendly and unprofessional. Overall, this B&B was untrustworthy, poorly maintained, and extremely uncomfortable. I would never stay here again. Italian summary for context: Rumoroso, disonesti, hanno preso i soldi due volte, porte rotte, bagno mal funzionante, nessuna pulizia, rumori continui, palazzo fatiscente, ascensore vecchio. Mai più.

Slightly outside the busiest tourist zones, but offers clean, modern rooms often under typical central‑Rome prices — a good trade‑off if you don’t mind a short commute
