Paper Tiger Eatery (Le Tigre de Papier)

"Best place in town"
If you’re looking for great food and a welcoming atmosphere, this is the place to be. The staff are wonderful and make the experience even better. Thanks for the amazing food—made our vacation special!
"Cold beer, bad pizza"
The beer here is cold, which is great, but the pepperoni pizza was barely edible. The pepperoni was fine, but the crust was rubbery, lacked crispiness, and was very bland. Unfortunately, this seems common with pizza in Cambodia. Service was good and attentive, but overall the pizza didn’t impress.
"Cooking class"
We took the morning cooking class and had a really fun experience! We made fish amok, mango salad, and a banana dessert. The food turned out great and it was such an enjoyable activity!
"Throbbing live music while you eat"
The food and drinks at Paper Tiger Eatery are both delicious and reasonably priced, making it a tempting option when visiting Siem Reap. However, the live music is played at full volume, and even the playback includes uncensored hip hop and rap with explicit language, which can make conversation difficult and uncomfortable while dining. If you don’t mind the loud and explicit music, the eatery offers plenty of tasty, affordable options.
"Anything you like"
This Pub Street restaurant is very versatile, offering local dishes, pizza, and international options. We opted for a beef carpaccio and tempura prawns to share, and both were delicious. The service was attentive and cheerful, making for a pleasant dining experience.
"Long standing bar on Paper Tiger in Siem Reap"
Paper Tiger Eatery (Le Tigre de Papier) is a long-standing restaurant, bar, and cooking school on Pub Street in Siem Reap, serving travelers since 1999 and open 24 hours with plenty of seating. We stopped by for drinks and found them well-priced and decent—draught beer at just $0.50 per glass and a White Russian at $2.50, which tasted good. Seating and order-taking were quick, but service afterward was mediocre. The staff seemed numerous but uncoordinated; we had to ask for our cheque three times and chase our change ten minutes after paying in cash, which was frustrating. Overall, the drinks were fine for the price, but more attentive and timely service would have greatly improved the experience.
"Great Food and Atmosphere"
We enjoyed dinner at the front of the restaurant, taking in all the bustling activity on Pub Street. Service was a bit slow, but the waitress was very apologetic as they were busy. Once our food and drinks arrived, everything was fantastic. I had the Khmer Chicken Curry, which was full of flavor, and a perfectly crafted Singapore Sling to top it off!
"Cooking mit Sopheap – You Look as handsome as your food"
We attended the cooking class and explored the Old Market with Sopheap, and she was absolutely wonderful! She guided us through every step with warmth and patience, explaining everything in detail and making the experience truly unique. Her passion and knowledge made the day unforgettable. Highly recommended! 🥰
"Great variety of options and large quantities"
This restaurant may not serve the most refined cuisine, but it offers a huge variety of dishes and incredibly cheap drinks—draft beer for just $0.50 and mojitos at $2.50. The pumpkin gratin and mango sticky rice were definite highlights. If you head to the back, you’ll find quieter seating away from the hustle. Service is average, and the waiters’ English isn’t perfect, but they are genuinely kind and welcoming. Zitavskeho
