"Misleading and Outsourced Tour – Felt Like a Scam"
We found this company on TripAdvisor because of their high rating and top-10 ranking for tours in Cusco—but it was terrible! We booked the Rainbow Mountain tour, but didn’t actually go with them. They charged us 90 soles (locals) and 100 soles (foreigners) claiming it included food, transport, and entrance. However, they outsourced us to another agency (Inca Travel), which we later found out only charges 60 soles (excluding the ticket). After doing the math, it’s clear Peruventur kept the difference—basically scamming customers. You're better off booking directly with the actual tour providers to avoid overpaying.
"Excellent Service and Constant Support Throughout the Trip"
Attention is 10 out of 10! They answered all my questions and made me feel accompanied throughout the entire trip. They always checked in to see how I was doing during each activity. I felt very safe and well taken care of after booking my trip with them. Highly recommended!
"Avoid Peruventure – Disorganized, Misleading, and Overpriced"
I’m writing this to clearly explain why you should avoid this company. We chose Peruventure based on a recommendation from another couple. We booked a Machu Picchu trip for $54 per person, which was supposed to include round-trip bus transport, three meals, accommodation, and a guided tour of Machu Picchu. The only part that went smoothly was the payment. We were told multiple times to be punctual for the 7-hour bus ride. The bus that picked us up had over 670,000 km on it—it was old, dirty, and extremely cramped. Then we sat waiting for an entire hour before even departing. Once we arrived in Aguas Calientes, we were supposed to meet a guide in the town center. No one showed up. Thankfully, we had mobile internet and contacted them via WhatsApp, only to be told no one was coming and we should head to the hostel on our own. At the hostel, no one knew about our reservation. After 20 minutes, a random woman (with no explanation) led us away. We were exhausted after 11 hours of travel and growing increasingly frustrated. We finally got a small dinner—drinks not included—and then the guide arrived. He informed us we could no longer do our Machu Picchu tour at the time we had booked three months in advance (6:00 AM). Despite reminding Peruventure several times, they now told us we had to wait until 11:00 AM. Fine, disappointing but manageable—except it got worse. We went up to Machu Picchu at our 6 AM time slot as planned, and later tried to meet the guide at 11 AM. But we were told the route was one way only, and we had to exit the site—meaning we never got our guided tour at all. Peruventure is disorganized, unprofessional, and dishonest. They overcharge and promise what they can’t deliver. For your own good, avoid Peruventure.
