"Lovely"

We had a very pleasant dinner and chose the menu option. The dishes were flavorful, though we found the menu a bit too heavy on jamón and potato, which left us overly full. Aside from that, it was an enjoyable and well-executed dining experience.

"The first time excellent with already too fast a service that we had to temper. The next day disappointed from home,"

We discovered this restaurant by chance and were thrilled with our first visit. The Marennes oysters were a marvel, the foie gras excellent, and the onion soup simply outstanding. Oxtail and breast dishes were top notch, though the revisited rum baba dessert didn’t quite suit our tastes. Everything was so good we returned the very next night. Unfortunately, that second experience left us disappointed. The service was far too rushed—dishes arriving before we even finished the previous ones—more like a station buffet than a gourmet restaurant. Feeling pressured, we skipped dessert and coffee altogether. A shame, as the cuisine truly has great potential.

"Bussines meal"

This is a nice and well-located restaurant with outstanding service from the waiters, who were very helpful and polite. The food was truly delicious, and the extensive wine list was impressive. The only drawback is that the prices are a bit on the high side.

"Brazenness and willful ignorance"

The food here is impeccable, the service attentive, and the menu truly appetizing. Every dish we tried was very good, confirming the chef’s talent. However, the wine pricing was a real disappointment. Charging €50 for a bottle that retails for around €16 feels like an abuse. When I asked Carles Gaig about it, he excused himself saying it was his wife’s responsibility, yet she never came to the table. A great chef should earn recognition from the cuisine, not excessive margins on wine. This lack of transparency and unwillingness to address the issue left a sour note on what otherwise could have been an excellent dining experience.

"Romantic fine dinning"

Excellent service, innovative food, and a great atmosphere make this restaurant truly worthy of its Michelin star. The mushroom special and foie gras were absolute highlights, paired perfectly with an excellent Priorat wine. Impeccable service and overall great value—highly recommended!

"Warm place but don’t be in a hurry"

This restaurant definitely deserves a visit for the food alone — taste-wise, there is nothing to complain about. Every dish we tried was well-prepared and satisfying. However, the service fell short of expectations. Our table was set apart on the terrace, and it took nearly twenty minutes before anyone came to take our order, even after we had to call for a waitress. The lack of coordination and communication among the staff detracted from what could have been an excellent dining experience. With better service, this spot could truly shine.

"Good Food and Service"

Overall, it was a very enjoyable dining experience, though it didn’t quite reach the “great” level I had hoped for based on its reputation. The fried pork belly amuse and foie gras were excellent starters, but the rest of the dishes—octopus, monkfish, shredded cannelloni, and red shrimp—were more average. Service began very attentive when we arrived at 7:30 but slowed significantly as the restaurant filled up. On a positive note, the sommelier offered thoughtful pairings of Spanish wines that complemented the meal nicely.

"Enjoyment is not guaranteed"

I chose Petit Comité to celebrate my birthday with friends, encouraged by the glowing reviews and the reputation of the Chef. The atmosphere and décor were promising, clearly aiming to deliver a refined gastronomic experience. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match the expectations. Service was mediocre — staff were polite but inattentive, leaving empty glasses on the table, never offering to pour wine, and often hard to get hold of. What stood out instead was the Chef’s unhappy expression as he glanced at guests from the open kitchen — not exactly the welcoming touch one hopes for. As for the food, it was passable but uninspiring. Out of six dishes, two were so oversalted that bitterness took over. Rather than replacing them, the manager insisted we didn’t understand Catalan cuisine, which felt dismissive. Eventually, we had to insist on having the dishes removed from the bill. Desserts, including their signature crema catalana, were equally underwhelming — the traditional version would have been more satisfying. While the evening wasn’t ruined, the lackluster food and disappointing service left us feeling let down. Sadly, I cannot recommend Petit Comité, especially when expectations are set so high.

"Not a dinner, but a rush to finish dinner as soon as possible (by the staff)!!!"

We chose this restaurant for dinner because of its mention in the Michelin guide and the reputation of Chef Carles Gaig (who, unfortunately, wasn’t there that evening). The venue itself is lovely — clean, understated, with a partially open kitchen and some charming details at the entrance. Service, however, fell far short of expectations. While the initial welcome was warm, the dining room staff seemed rushed, inattentive, and not very engaging. Explanations of dishes were mumbled, sometimes requiring us to ask again what was being served. Our wine arrived late, only after the first course was already on the table, and service around it remained inconsistent. Clearing plates before everyone had finished felt pushy and disrespectful. Worst of all, the tasting menu — at €85 per person — was served at a pace that made us feel like we were being hurried out. Less than an hour for a full tasting menu is unacceptable; it felt more like being rushed through a chore than enjoying a fine-dining experience. The food itself was good and portions appropriate, but with such rushed service, there was little chance to savor it. With no full house or visible reason to hurry, the approach was baffling and left us disappointed. Overall: Decent food in a nice venue, but service ruined the experience. Not worth the hype, and certainly not the relaxed, memorable dinner we were expecting. Not recommended.

"Birthday"

Without a doubt, the best restaurant in Barcelona! A special thank you to Carles for personally attending to us and even taking the time to come out for a picture with my partner, despite how busy the evening was. Such a thoughtful gesture made the experience even more memorable. The food, service, and atmosphere were all a perfect 10. We are very grateful – everything was absolutely outstanding!
