"was beautiful"

At first, the hotel felt like a normal quality resort—not bad, but nothing extraordinary. However, the staff really stood out and made our experience much better. The team at the bar was especially friendly, always ready to chat and very attentive to us. In the mornings, the colorful bartender impressed us with how hard he worked—he seemed to manage everything on his own and did it with great energy. Overall, most of the staff (except for those in red uniforms) were very hardworking and dedicated. One particular lady deserves special mention—she seemed to be everywhere! From the pool bar to the lobby bar, even helping out on the beach. She always had a smile, checked in on guests, and even took the time to chat with us during our stay. She was so kind and attentive that she asked for our numbers to stay in touch. Out of respect, I won’t mention her name, but she really went above and beyond.

"Good service"

Thank you very much for a fantastic stay at this hotel. We would especially like to express our gratitude to the incredible animation team—Alexander, Timur, Angelica, Elina, and Mona. You all did such a wonderful job, showing great responsibility and a warm, positive attitude towards the children. The mini club staff were equally impressive, making sure the kids felt happy and cared for every single day. Your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. Our family truly appreciated everything you did to make our holiday special. A huge thank you once again to the entire animation team—you are the heart of this hotel!

"Family Holiday at Pirates"

We returned home from this hotel last week and are still processing our impressions—it’s a mix of positives and a few disappointments. The room was lovely, seemingly renovated with new furniture and a clean bathroom. It was located a bit far from the beach and restaurant, but we didn’t mind walking as the hotel gardens are absolutely beautiful. However, being on the ground floor, the terrace didn’t feel very private since people frequently passed by on the pavement. Housekeeping was excellent—the room was cleaned daily, and sheets and towels were refreshed regularly by a very kind lady. The beach itself is stunning: wide, spacious, and the sea was crystal clear. Even the beach toilets were kept very clean. The animation team for children deserves special praise—our son had a wonderful time at the mini club and thoroughly enjoyed the evening mini disco. As for the food, there was plenty of variety, but it tended to be a bit spicy. Unfortunately, both my son and I experienced stomach issues on the first day, and we had to use probiotics for the rest of our stay, which took away from the relaxation. Overall, it was a nice holiday with many beautiful aspects, but something felt missing—so we wouldn’t call it a full five-star experience.

"Unwelcome staff, especially employee Jansen"

This isn’t our first visit, but sadly, the hotel seems to be getting worse each time. Management seriously needs to pay closer attention to staff behavior—especially the employee Jansen at the bar near reception. Her attitude alone makes you want to walk away quietly, but what’s worse is how she treats children. When a child approached for a cocktail, she muttered in Turkish, “how did these kids send me”, and then deliberately pretended to be busy instead of serving. For a hotel that promotes itself as “everything for the kids!”, this is completely unacceptable. On a positive note, the animation team for both children and adults was great—friendly, engaging, and a pleasure to interact with, even if your child doesn’t visit the club often. The sea is beautiful and clean, but water shoes are a must because walking over the rocks is painful. As for the food, it’s basic without much variety or luxury, but at the very least there’s enough to keep you from going hungry. Overall, the value for money is questionable if the service and attention to detail continue to decline.

"Didn’t like it."

I stayed here with my 5-year-old daughter and, honestly, I didn’t like it at all. We chose this hotel based on glowing reviews, but from the moment we arrived, I felt like crying and wanted to leave immediately. The hotel barely deserves a 3-star rating at best. The infrastructure—lobby, pools, rooms—is outdated and worn out. The restaurant has an unpleasant smell, and the evening shows felt more like an amateur karaoke competition than professional entertainment (think “A White Swan on the Pond” type performances). On the positive side, the sea is beautiful—but that’s nature’s work, not the hotel’s. The pirate-themed quest for kids on the ship was enjoyable for my daughter, but this alone doesn’t justify staying here. For this price range, there are far better and cozier hotels that, while not luxurious, will still leave you with a much more positive experience.

"Upset"

We stayed at the hotel in September 2024 and overall had mixed feelings about our experience. There are definite positives: the grounds are beautifully maintained and compact yet pleasant to walk around. The beach is large with plenty of available sunbeds and umbrellas that provide excellent shade. Our renovated room was comfortable, everything functioned well, and we especially appreciated that the air conditioning didn’t blow directly onto the bed. Housekeeping cleaned before lunchtime, which was a thoughtful touch. However, the downsides left us underwhelmed for the price paid. The food was quite frugal—mostly chicken and turkey, with beef and lamb served only in tiny pieces mixed into vegetables. Ayran was only available at the bar, which often had long queues. The restaurant’s main hall was small and constantly crowded, with a scramble for tables. While there were outdoor seating options, it was uncomfortably hot. Drinks were disappointing too—just sugary sodas, no freshly squeezed juices, not even for an extra charge. For the first time in Turkey, we even encountered bland tomatoes, and cherry tomatoes were nowhere to be found. The beach bar offered only basic fast food, meaning the main restaurant became overcrowded at lunchtime. As for entertainment, the animation team was great for small children, but adults were left with little to enjoy—no proper shows in the amphitheater, just amateur-level performances. On top of that, the outdoor toilets and those near the reception were dirty and shabby, reminiscent of an old train station rather than a high-end resort. While we might have overlooked some of these flaws, we couldn’t ignore the feeling shared by other guests: the price we paid simply didn’t match the level of service provided. It was a disappointing realization, especially in a country like Turkey where we’ve had such great experiences before.

"Ok wouldn’t go back"

The hotel itself is nice with lovely themed areas and a beautiful beach. However, the food lacked variety and seemed to cater more towards Russian guests. As an English-speaking family, we found communication difficult as very few staff members spoke English. The majority of guests were Russian, which wasn’t a problem in itself, but during physical games, some were a little rough with my teenage boys, and there seemed to be no sense of queuing or basic manners. The rooms were also quite small for a family of five, leaving little space to move around comfortably. While the buffet was underwhelming, there is a restaurant by the beach behind the slides that served much better food. Overall, I wouldn’t rate this as a true 5-star hotel and wouldn’t choose to return.

"You can’t sleep."

If you’re looking for peace and quiet, this is not the hotel for you. As a family hotel, I expected nighttime to be calm, but instead, pounding bass from the bar kept us awake until 2 a.m. I politely asked multiple times for them to lower the bass – not stop the music entirely – but was ignored. The hotel grounds are small, so the sound carries easily, and other guests I spoke with agreed it was disturbing. I understand people want to enjoy themselves and dance, but surely turning the music down at midnight would be reasonable, especially since the bar isn’t even busy past that time. Sadly, management doesn’t seem to prioritize guests’ comfort and sleep. On the positive side, the sea here is beautiful – but that alone isn’t enough to make me return.

"Pirates and Lemon love forever!"

This wonderful hotel is truly designed with children in mind. It was our third visit (and we’re not the only ones who return year after year) because our son absolutely loves spending his vacations here. The animation team is fantastic – a special thank you to Limón and all the hotel staff for being so kind and attentive! The sea is amazing, and the beach is gorgeous. Of course, like any place, there might be minor flaws, but for us, the most important things were perfect: our child had fun, we stayed healthy, and I was able to truly relax. We highly recommend this hotel for families!

"Perfect for families with young kids with room for small improvements"

We spent 10 days here in August and loved the location. The resort is right on the beach with beautiful surroundings and a crystal-clear sea (pebbly, so water shoes are recommended – they also sell them on-site). The pools are just steps from the beach, which was perfect for us with two young kids as we could easily move between the two throughout the day. Loungers were always available on the beach, but harder to find by the pool, so we usually kept loungers there and alternated between pool and sea swims. The property is well-maintained and very clean, with staff constantly working on cleaning and gardening. The food was great for us as we enjoy trying different cuisines – there were plenty of stews, meats, grilled fish daily, pasta, rice, salads, and desserts. It did get a little repetitive over 10 days, but that’s to be expected. Lunch at the snack bar with a sea view was a lovely and breezy option. Our kids loved the two slides, though they’re only open for limited hours (two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon, one slide at a time). The afternoon slot (2–4 pm) was tricky for us as we usually returned to our room for rest. Another minor downside was the pools closing at 6 pm – sometimes earlier at 5:45 pm – which felt a little too early. The kids’ club was fine, but it’s mainly geared toward Russian-speaking children. While they do speak English, most games and activities were in Russian. That said, the animation team worked really hard and kept the kids entertained. Evening entertainment for the whole family was enjoyable too. Other highlights: an air-conditioned gym with sea views (open from 7 am), handy showers in several areas, and cool, comfortable rooms with efficient air conditioning and ceiling fans. However, the rooms could use more storage space, bedding wasn’t changed often, and the minibar fridge didn’t cool well. Also, the top bunk bed was never made, only the double and bottom bunk. English is not widely spoken, which caused some mix-ups at the snack bar. Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives. Despite a few areas for improvement, this place was perfect for our family’s needs, and we’d definitely return.

"Lovely, but.."

The hotel itself has a great layout and lovely pools that are a perfect temperature and never felt overcrowded – our kids loved them. Sunbeds were always available, which is a big plus. The entertainment team was friendly and engaging once you got talking to them, adding a nice social touch to the stay. However, there are some issues worth noting. The waterslides only operate for two hours a day, which I hadn’t realized before booking. While queues weren’t massive, having the slides open all day would make a noticeable difference and spread out usage more evenly. The rooms were a disappointment in terms of cleanliness. While the beds were remade daily, fresh sheets weren’t provided, and we battled a serious ant problem that just wouldn’t go away. On the food front, there was plenty of variety and we always found something we enjoyed each night. The biggest downside was the overall atmosphere. The hotel caters primarily to Russian guests, and unfortunately, many displayed incredibly rude behavior – cutting queues, treating staff poorly, and lacking basic manners. It was unpleasant to witness and likely contributed to some staff seeming less friendly at times. Finally, on arrival, a staff member who helped with our bags seemed visibly irritated when we didn’t tip immediately (we hadn’t exchanged money yet), which left a poor first impression, although we had no issue tipping staff later during the stay. All in all, there are good aspects to this hotel, but the negatives – particularly the room issues and guest dynamics – took away from the experience for us.

"Family stay"

This hotel is truly lovely—super clean rooms and exterior spaces, with an adorable and hardworking cleaning staff and great restaurants. The location is perfect, offering a magnificent landscape and plenty of opportunities for excursions nearby. However, the biggest downside is the animation team. They only speak Russian and even admitted, “my English is very bad.” As a result, all daytime and evening activities are centered entirely around Russian guests. French music was outright prohibited, and it felt as though French-speaking visitors were not welcome during the entertainment programs. It’s a real shame because the hotel itself is excellent, but this lack of inclusivity in the entertainment makes a big difference to the overall experience.
