Prem Sagar Guest House

"Pathetic Hotel and staff"
The most pathetic guest house I have ever stayed in. The staff had no manners and were completely unhelpful. The location was difficult to find, and even nearby shops had no idea where this guest house was. The entire visit was ruined because of the unhelpful people at the property. I would never recommend this guest house to anyone.
"convenient and good value for Connaught Place"
This is a simple but clean and well-equipped guest house, offering good value for the area. It’s conveniently located on the outer ring of Connaught Place, just a few minutes’ walk to the Metro Station, Janpath, and the rest of Connaught Place. Finding it can be a little tricky since it’s on the 2nd floor and the sign is placed high up, making it hard to spot from the street. However, the rooms are very clean and come with air conditioning, hot water, and Wi-Fi. Breakfast is served on the covered rooftop, where you can choose from Indian or western options at the front desk and have them brought up. The common areas between the front desk and the rooms are basic but tidy, and there is a security guard at the entrance. The guest house also provided an airport transfer upon arrival and was helpful in arranging taxis for our departure to the train station. Overall, a great budget-friendly stay.
"mm improvement needed"
Stayed for 3 nights. The room was dowdy but clean, though definitely in need of some updates. One major inconvenience was that there was no coffee or breakfast available early in the morning for guests heading out on tours. The bathroom noises from neighboring rooms were very audible and rather off-putting. Breakfast was just average, and overall, the stay felt expensive for what you get.
"Shopping trip? You won’t get a better location than here!"
I booked this guest house for its location and was very pleased with my choice. To set expectations, it falls into the category of a basic Indian guest house – it’s not pretty or luxurious, but it’s clean, safe, and functional. The rooms are spotless, with comfy beds, good size, private bathrooms, and TVs. Noise was never an issue, and the guest house felt secure at all times. The staff are wonderful and genuinely helpful, and while I can’t comment much on the food as I was unwell during my stay, the overall service was excellent. The location is a major highlight – everything is within walking distance, from markets and temples to the Main Bazaar (about a 15-minute walk away). The temple market near the Coffee House is a must-visit, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. A top tip: because of Connaught Place’s circular layout, it’s easy to get confused. Use Lord of The Drinks (a well-known spot) as your navigation landmark – everyone knows where it is. This isn’t the place for a family holiday, business trips, or backpackers seeking a social vibe. But for independent travelers like me, who want a central, clean, and hassle-free stay, it’s perfect. I’ll happily return on my next trip.
"Nice guest house"
This guest house has a very good location and the staff are genuinely friendly, which made the stay pleasant. Breakfast was simple but enjoyable, especially as it was served on the rooftop with a nice atmosphere. However, the facilities felt a bit run down, and considering that, I found it somewhat expensive for what was offered. Overall, it’s a decent place if you value location and warm hospitality, but it could use some updates to match the price point.
"cheerful but not cheap"
Friendly staff greeted me at reception, but the experience quickly declined once I left the lobby. To reach the rooms, I had to climb a metal staircase that felt like an exterior fire escape — unfortunately, this was the only access. The room itself was small, dated, and rather dowdy. While it appeared superficially clean, years of dirty finger marks were visible on the light switches, TV remote, and even the in-room menu, which was quite off-putting. Overall, the accommodation felt very basic and overpriced for what it offered.
"Just ok for Night stay"
This guest house is centrally located and quite affordable, making it a convenient choice for travelers. The rooms are large and offer good space for a comfortable stay. However, the furnishing is old, and the overall ambience, including the pathways, feels rather dull. It’s important to keep in mind that this is a guest house, and the pricing is largely reflective of its prime location rather than the amenities or décor.
"Terrible hotel-Don’t go"
Although the initial welcome was pleasant, the experience quickly went downhill. The room was very small, outdated, and incredibly noisy. Early in the morning, a pump turned on, making it feel like we were inside an airplane. To make matters worse, the owner failed to mention this “little” detail beforehand and insisted on advance payment. Overall, this place felt like a scam. Do not book!
"Convenient and cheap place in the centre of New Delhi"
This guesthouse is very convenient and perfectly located in the centre of New Delhi. While it’s not a luxury resort and the rooms are somewhat old-fashioned and a bit run down, everything is clean, the shower offers hot water, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The location is ideal, just under 5 minutes from the Metro with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The only downside is the noise – being right in the heart of the city, street work woke me up as early as 6:00 AM. Breakfast is enjoyable and served on the lovely rooftop terrace (weather permitting) where you can spot various birds in the large tree in the backyard. If the weather isn’t good, breakfast can be served in your room.
"Great location!"
The biggest advantage of staying at Prem Sagar Guest House is its prime location — within walking distance to numerous restaurants and bars, making it perfect after a long day of sightseeing in Delhi. The staff is very helpful, and services like breakfast and airport shuttle add to the convenience. The bedrooms are comfortable but definitely in need of refurbishment to match the otherwise excellent location and service.
"Luxury stay in top Business area with affordable cost"
Prem Sagar Guest House, located in the sprawling Connaught Place area, offers a luxurious stay at a very reasonable tariff. The spacious, well-furnished rooms come with king-size cozy beds, wardrobes, mirrors, luggage racks, and polished furniture. Bathrooms are well-equipped with hot and cold water, complimentary toiletries, and a mineral water bottle. Guests can enjoy a complimentary breakfast with the option to select dishes from a listed menu, adding a personal touch to the service. The biggest advantage is the prime location in the central business area, just two minutes from the Rajeev Chowk transport hub, with plenty of autos and cabs available right outside the hotel.
"One night stay"
This guest house is basic but perfectly fine for a one-night stay, especially if you’re arriving late in Delhi. We booked the airport pickup, and the driver patiently waited for over an hour as we cleared immigration. Although our stay was short, as we started a tour early the next morning, the location in Connaught Place seemed very convenient.
