"A Seafood Lover’s Delight with Excellent Wine Pairings"
I thoroughly enjoyed eating here. The seafood selection was exquisite with so many choices. The gambas were prepared with a good sauce, and so were the squids. Don’t forget to also try the baby squid, and some bread for sauce dipping. Cava and their Albariño were good for drinks.
"Fresh Seafood, Quick Service – But Sandy Clams Disappointed"
The seafood here was undeniably fresh, and the service was impressively fast, which made for a mostly enjoyable dining experience. However, one downside was the clams. Despite the server’s assurance that they were sand-free, they unfortunately weren’t — which took away from the overall quality of the meal. A bit more attention to detail on this front would have made it perfect.
"Good Food but Inconsistent Service and Experience"
We dined here today and left with mixed feelings. The experience started on a high note — the gentleman at the fish counter was extremely charming and helpful. He clearly explained the process and assured us the dishes would be served gradually so we could enjoy everything at the right temperature. Unfortunately, this wasn't the case — mains and starters were brought out simultaneously, which disrupted the flow of the meal. A standout negative was the rude and arrogant attitude of the server at the kitchen window (dark-haired, red and white striped shirt). When you work in front of customers, professionalism is key, and his behavior definitely soured the atmosphere. On the food side, the monkfish soup and Andalusian-style squid were fantastic, while the mussels and fried anchovies were just okay. Pricing felt fair for the quality offered. Lastly, the sticky tables were a noticeable downside and should be addressed. With a few service improvements and attention to cleanliness, this could be a much better overall experience.
"Fresh, Fast, and Clean Seafood Experience"
This is a fishmonger-style restaurant where you select your seafood and choose how you'd like it cooked. Everything was well prepared and came out quickly. The salads are generous—definitely meant for sharing rather than as individual portions. Dishes are served gradually, and you’ll be called up to pick them up as they’re ready. Everything was very clean, and overall, I enjoyed the experience. Great spot if you’re looking for something fresh and casual.
"Fun Concept but Not for Everyone"
The concept of choosing your seafood and having it freshly cooked is quite fun and unique. Some of the dishes like the fried anchovies, cockles, and mussels were really delicious. However, there were a few downsides—the Cañaillas weren’t cleaned thoroughly, and despite the €20 price tag, the white wine felt cheap. Also, having to get up to collect your dishes from the kitchen isn’t for everyone. While it’s an interesting experience, it’s probably not one I’d repeat.
"Still Excellent, But Not What It Once Was"
Everything remains very good here — the food, the experience, the atmosphere — but it's clear things have changed. The lack of a queue even at noon says a lot 🤣🤣🤣. Prices have gone up noticeably, which shifts the overall vibe compared to before, when it felt more accessible while still being top quality. That said, it’s still an excellent dining experience. If you pace yourself and order a bit less, you can keep it budget-friendly and still enjoy it thoroughly.
"Disappointing Food Despite Good Service"
I'm not sure if it was just an off day or if this is the norm, but unfortunately, the food was a real letdown. The oysters lacked flavor, and the sole was extremely dry with an overpowering burnt taste from the grill. I also ordered the grilled prawns, and they were overcooked with the same charred flavor. The anchovies were the one highlight — well-fried and tasty. On the positive side, the staff was friendly and attentive, but sadly, the quality of the food didn’t match the service.
"Fresh Seafood but Room for Flavor Improvement"
The food was undeniably fresh, especially the seafood, which is always a great starting point. However, the overall taste could use some refinement. For example, removing the shrimp back line would improve the texture and presentation. Additionally, incorporating spices like garlic or herbs, rather than relying mainly on salt, could elevate the dishes and better showcase the natural freshness. A solid experience, but there's definite potential to make it even more enjoyable.
"Disappointing Service and Cold Seafood"
I visited this restaurant with my fiancé, looking forward to a nice seafood meal. Sadly, the food arrived cold, and when I politely asked for it to be reheated, the staff refused and simply responded with, "It's finished," offering no solution or concern. The lack of customer care was disappointing and really took away from the experience. Based on this visit, I would not recommend this place.
"A Disappointing Return Visit with Poor Service and Bland Food"
We visited this restaurant many years ago when it was under a different name, and the seafood back then was absolutely sensational. Unfortunately, this recent experience was a complete letdown. The service was chaotic and slow—waiting for our food took ages. The person in charge of weighing the seafood seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. He was serving a group of Chinese conference guests who clearly had trouble understanding the ordering process and ended up with far too much food. Rather than assisting them with sensible recommendations, he just let it happen. Meanwhile, the kitchen appeared disorganized, with one person seemingly guiding the entire staff while the rest looked lost and confused. Worst of all, the food was flavorless and uninspired. We’re fairly certain our portion of pulpo (octopus) was mistakenly given to another table, as it never arrived as expected. What was once a memorable culinary experience is now just an unfortunate memory. Not planning to return.
