Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach

"On the one hand, too much of everything, on the other hand, nothing is done to make it a little more environmentally friendly."
While the Pullman makes an effort to impress with an oversupply of food and services, it feels far from the standards of a truly modern 5-star property. Bedding was worn and clumped, and the extra bed provided was in even worse condition. Cleaning practices left much to be desired, and the constant reissuing of fresh linens and towels felt excessive rather than luxurious. Transfers were done with loud incinerator vehicles instead of electric golf carts, which seems environmentally careless in today’s world. For a hotel that could embrace “Save the Planet” values, Pullman falls decades behind in adopting eco-friendly concepts. While many guests may not notice or even expect this, as seasoned luxury travelers we found the environmental footprint of such an operation uncomfortably large. With minimal effort, Pullman could make changes to reduce its impact and offer a more responsible luxury experience.
"In a word. Perfect!"
What a wonderful hotel! We have had the most marvellous and unforgettable stay at the Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach. From the moment we arrived at Phuket airport, we were warmly welcomed by the vivacious and brilliant Syn, who, along with Chad the driver, made our transfer to the hotel seamless and stress-free. After two months of traveling in Europe, this was such a convenient and relaxing choice for us. Upon arrival at reception, our check-in process was smooth and efficient, thanks to the online registration we had completed earlier. Mae Mae, the hotel loyalty manager, gave us a warm welcome and took us through the hotel’s offerings. We were also personally greeted by Albert, the excellent and proactive general manager. It’s rare to meet a hotel manager so engaged and genuinely interested in his guests—we encountered him several times during our stay and felt incredibly welcome and appreciated. We dined on our first night at the excellent Italian-inspired Vero restaurant, and on subsequent nights at Elements, the all-day dining venue. Elements offers an outstanding breakfast buffet and impressive evening menus that combine Western and Asian cuisines. They catered brilliantly for my wife’s gluten intolerance, and nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thanks to Urs, the Food Manager, who personally visited our table to ensure we had everything we needed and that our dining experience was as comfortable as possible. The entire Elements restaurant team were incredibly kind and accommodating. Pong and Orn managed the breakfast and dinner services flawlessly, showing exceptional care for Elizabeth and her dietary needs. Thank you to Pong, Orn, Miw, Kha, Note, Aom, Sonya, Pupay, and Chadon for their warmth and professionalism—you truly made our experience memorable. The hotel itself is spread over several levels, all accessible by foot or by buggy if needed. Our ocean-view room was an absolute treat, with a perfect bed and efficient air conditioning that ensured a restful stay. There is nothing we could fault about our visit. We will definitely return to this beautiful property should we have the opportunity to travel to Thailand again. A heartfelt thank you to Albert and his wonderful team for their care and kindness throughout our stay—you made it unforgettable!
"Great location, good vibe"
We recently returned to this resort for a 4-day beach escape and loved every moment. We booked the Grand Ocean Deluxe rooms (1803 and 1802), which were absolutely worth it—spacious, modern, and beautifully designed in light grey tones with large balconies. Our room (1803) offered stunning views of the sea and Naithon Beach, while our son was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade from the hotel. The resort’s location is excellent—close to the airport, steps away from Naithon Beach with its charming local shops, restaurants, massage spots, and even surf options. The resort itself has a lovely vibe with two pools (one adults-only), a beautifully situated Italian restaurant, and an outstanding spa. My Swedish massage was superb—my therapist worked wonders on releasing tension. The bar also has a great selection of mocktails, which we appreciated. We were impressed with how the hotel manages the guest experience: they actively remove towels from loungers left out early in the morning to prevent guests from reserving spaces, and there are signs at the breakfast buffet encouraging mindful portions to reduce food waste. During our stay, the main restaurant was closed for renovations. The hotel informed us in advance about this and potential noise. On our first day, we noticed some drilling near the pool closest to the beach, but after that, it was quiet and didn’t impact our enjoyment. This was such a relaxing and rejuvenating break that we’re already thinking about returning in autumn. A huge thank you to all the staff—they were incredibly friendly, attentive, and helped make our stay so special.
"Unexpectedly disappointed"
We stayed at this hotel a year ago and were absolutely thrilled with the experience. The breathtaking nature, chic infinity pool, and superb breakfasts left us in awe. Sadly, this return visit has been nothing short of shocking and disappointing. To start, the deposit has doubled from $100 to $200. The staff now seem slow and unresponsive. The room had a persistent dampness—condensation on ceilings and floors made it dangerously slippery. Our baby almost slipped several times. When using the air conditioning, a strong smell of mildew filled the room. This time we opted for a breakfast and dinner package, which turned out to be a mistake. Warning: drinks—including water—are not included with dinner! We were stunned to receive a bill for a single bottle of water: 411 baht (around 3x what you’d expect). At dinner, you’re limited to choosing only two courses (e.g., salad + main, or main + dessert). The two dinner restaurants didn’t impress either. The Italian restaurant had tiny portions and very slow, forgetful service—they even missed recording our main course. The Asian restaurant fared better with generous portions and tasty food, but my husband was horrified to find a hair in his Tom Kha soup. Although they apologized, replaced the dish, and offered a complimentary dessert, it still left a bad impression. Another major issue: we paid for a stay including our 9-year-old child, yet no extra bed was provided. We were told we’d have to either share a double bed between three people or pay extra for a rollaway bed. After requesting additional sheets and a blanket, our child ended up sleeping on a narrow, non-folding sofa that thankfully fit his height. On top of this, my husband couldn’t connect his laptop to the Wi-Fi. When we asked for help, reception told him, “everyone’s busy, bring your laptop down to the front desk.” For a so-called premium hotel, this is unacceptable. The pool was murky, and some of its tiles were missing. The massage prices were outrageous—60 minutes cost 4,900 baht (compared to just 500 baht at nearby spas). Even shops and bike rentals in the area are far pricier than in Karon or Kata. After such a disappointing experience, we’ve decided we cannot recommend this hotel or even this area anymore. The Pullman at Karon Beach, by contrast, provides better meals, friendlier service, and swift attention to any issues.
"Average stay. Beautiful resort"
The resort itself is stunning, with plenty to see and enjoy. We especially loved the direct beach access, the two lovely pools, and our comfortable room—it really felt like a tropical escape. However, there were a few letdowns during our stay. The staff often struggled to understand us (English is our first language), which made communication challenging at times. Getting around the resort required taking a buggy everywhere, and we wish this had been made clearer when booking. The food and drinks were just average, and for a 5-star resort, we’ve experienced much better breakfasts elsewhere. Customer service also felt inconsistent and didn’t live up to the luxury standard we expected. It’s worth noting that the resort is in a very quiet area with not much nearby, which might not suit travelers looking for more activity or dining options outside the hotel. Overall, we had a nice stay, but unfortunately, the downsides outweighed the highlights for us.
"Very good"
We’ve just returned after spending two weeks here and were pleasantly surprised overall. The hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the views are absolutely stunning. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice—no complaints there. Our only gripe was that when seated by the male staff and asked for hot drinks, they often didn’t return with them, whereas the female staff were much more attentive. The resort is quite hilly, but calling for a buggy from your room worked perfectly—they arrived within minutes every time. We didn’t eat dinner at the hotel because the drink prices were very inflated. A small bottle of beer cost around 250 baht, whereas outside the hotel it was about 120 baht. Many other guests commented on this too. A message to management: consider lowering drink prices if you want guests to stay in during the evenings. On three occasions, we had a couple of drinks and one snack at the adult bar, and our bill at checkout came to £135! For comparison, we could have a full meal for two with drinks in town for around £30. That said, the staff were friendly, and we really enjoyed our stay. With a few adjustments, this place could easily go from great to exceptional.
"complete disappointment"
This was my second time staying at this hotel, and while my first visit was very pleasant, this time turned into a disappointment due to poor communication between the reception, hotel manager, and food & beverage manager. As a member of All.com, I was entitled to certain benefits, such as discounts on meals and drinks. On our first evening, we were told these benefits were not valid. The next day, after some confusion and apologies, we were informed they were in fact in the system. However, later that day, while dining again, the hotel manager, Mr. Albert, claimed that my benefits didn’t apply if more than two people were dining. A few hours later, when my partner and I went for another meal, the food and beverage manager, Mr. Urs, informed me that I no longer had any discounts at all. This constant back-and-forth was frustrating and felt unprofessional. In my opinion, if a mistake was made, management should take responsibility and honor the guest’s benefits rather than creating unnecessary confusion at every meal. The hotel itself is not ideal for older guests or those with mobility issues. There is a lot of walking up and down steep hills and stairs, which makes getting around very tiring. Although electric buggies are available, wait times can be long—we once waited 26 minutes for a ride from the main gate to the lobby. On a positive note, the Thai staff were very friendly and helpful depending on who you encountered. For example, when I requested a late checkout as an Accor member, one receptionist initially told me I could only stay until 1:00 p.m., but later, another receptionist kindly extended it to 2:00 p.m. without hesitation. Unfortunately, the management’s lack of consistency and poor communication overshadowed the beautiful surroundings and otherwise pleasant service. Special mention to the Muay Thai trainer, who was excellent—friendly, professional, and truly a highlight of the stay. This will be my last stay at this hotel. There are plenty of other high-quality options in the area that deliver a smoother and more professional guest experience.
"Exceeded Expectations – Thoughtful Birthday Surprise During Phuket’s Low Season"
Room Type: Deluxe Room (upgraded to Ocean Grand Room) Membership Status: Accor Platinum I visited Pullman Phuket Arcadia Naithon Beach during the rainy season in June, which also happens to be my birthday month. I arrived with no expectations—no special requests, nothing at all—but what awaited me was far beyond anything I could have imagined. 🎉 A Thoughtful Birthday Surprise Upon entering my room, I was completely blown away. The staff had beautifully decorated the space with balloons, a birthday cake, and even a chilled bottle of Moët. I hadn’t asked for any of this, yet their effort and attention to detail made me feel so special. It’s easily one of the most thoughtful gestures I’ve ever experienced at a hotel. 🛌 Room & Facilities As an Accor Platinum member, I was upgraded from a Deluxe Room to the Ocean Grand Room (55 sqm). The room was immaculate, well-maintained, and had a fresh, inviting feel. Housekeeping did an outstanding job with daily upkeep and a lovely turndown service each evening—curtains drawn and sweet treats on the nightstand. 🌊 Location & Beach Access The resort is perched above beautiful Naithon Beach. From the pool area, you can cross a small bridge to access the beach with your room key. Just a note: during monsoon season, the waves can get rough, so swimming requires caution. 🍳 Dining Highlights Breakfast was served at ADA Restaurant (with Elements under renovation) and didn’t disappoint. The buffet offered a diverse range of dishes, including rotating local specialties like biryani, Thai curry noodles, and roast duck noodles. Staying for multiple days? Try exploring different breakfast themes each morning to keep it exciting! As an Accor Plus member, I enjoyed 50% off meals for two—an excellent value. Dinner at VERO, their Italian restaurant, was a standout. Both the pizza and steak were superb, rivaling fine steakhouses. The staff’s menu knowledge and recommendations enhanced the experience. 🍹 Bars & Extra Perks Welcome drinks for two (redeemable at C Bar or Pool Bar via app) Buy 1 Get 1 Free Happy Hour (4:00–6:00 PM) Afternoon tea at C Bar (THB 750) — beautifully presented and generous Fitness center with stunning sea views Secondary pool and M Bar perfect for watching sunsets 🏅 Accor Platinum Benefits Received ✔ Early check-in ✔ Late check-out ✔ Room upgrade ✔ 5 complimentary laundry pieces ✔ Champagne breakfast Note: While there’s no Platinum lounge at this property, the thoughtful service and perks more than made up for it. 👏 Service & Staff What truly elevated my stay was the warmth and professionalism of the team. From the Front Office to F&B, everyone went above and beyond. Special thanks to Khun Pong for consistently checking in with such kindness. On my last day, I was delighted to meet Khun Pinky (recently transferred from Novotel Kamala), whose exceptional member service I remembered fondly. ✨ Final Thoughts This stay reaffirmed why Pullman Arcadia Naithon is one of the best Accor properties in Thailand. If you’re planning to redeem a Stay Plus night or book a getaway in Phuket—especially during the low season—this is the perfect choice. With lower room rates, affordable flights, and impeccable personalized service, it’s ideal for both relaxing holidays and special occasions. Highly recommended for an unforgettable Phuket experience. 💙
"Not the best choice while visiting Phuket"
This hotel was likely a stunning property in its prime, with a beautiful location and a lovely overall concept. However, it now feels dated and in need of significant renovations to bring it back to the standard expected of a luxury resort. The restaurant options are quite limited. The standout is the Italian restaurant (Vero), which serves excellent pizza and authentic Italian dishes. Unfortunately, the other dining venues are very average, including the food served at the pool deck. The drinks were another disappointment — poorly made, lacking presentation, and noticeably low on alcohol. On a positive note, the service is warm and friendly. The staff are kind and always willing to assist with a smile, though their English skills are quite limited, which can make communication a challenge. Families should also be aware that there are extra charges for children over 12 years old. Location-wise, the hotel is about an hour from Phuket Old Town, Big Buddha, Central Shopping Mall, and the Marina. If you’re planning to explore Phuket extensively, a more centrally located hotel might be a better option. The beach is naturally beautiful, but sadly it was littered with trash and plastic bottles during our stay — very disheartening to see in such a picturesque setting. Overall, while the setting and staff are lovely, the property feels tired, and both the food and beverage offerings fall short of expectations for a resort of this caliber.
"Best hotel for healing ever!"
Staying here for 7 days was an incredible experience! You can even spend time exploring the hotel grounds because every corner feels like a perfect photo spot. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to Yosi for being especially informative and kind — great job to the whole team! 👍🏼
