"Good Coffee, Cozy Atmosphere – But the Food Falls Short"

This place feels a bit overhyped. While I’d definitely recommend it for coffee—the brews are solid—the food left much to be desired. We tried the avocado toast and banana bread; the toast was soggy upon serving, and the banana bread was disappointingly dry. On the bright side, the service was quick and the atmosphere cozy, making it a decent spot if you’re just stopping by for a coffee.

"Tasty Breakfast Spot with Great Service and High Turnover"

This is an incredible place to enjoy breakfast. The toasts are generously sized, made with quality ingredients, and absolutely delicious. The service was excellent—attentive and friendly. While the café is quite small with limited seating, we had no trouble finding a table during the week. It’s definitely a popular local spot, so it can fill up quickly. That said, it’s not the kind of place to linger for long chats—tables are close together and there’s a steady flow of customers. But if you're looking for a flavorful breakfast to start your day, it’s a great choice. And if you’re celebrating or just want to treat yourself, don’t miss out on their mimosa!

"Lovely Café in Lavapiés with Great Vibes and Friendly Service"

Módena is a charming café in the Lavapiés neighborhood, perfect for enjoying a coffee, toast, cake—or, in our case, some refreshing mimosas. Despite visiting on an Easter afternoon, the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. The service was both friendly and quick, making the experience all the more enjoyable. Totally recommended for a laid-back stop in the area!

"Beautiful Atmosphere, Average Coffee, and Mixed Service"

Having already visited Petit Pum Pum, I decided to try the original location. The ambiance is undeniably lovely—beautiful and welcoming. However, the coffee and toast were fairly average, nothing particularly memorable. They do allow teleworking, but only at a specific, rather small table where it's hard to fit both a laptop and your tray comfortably. As for the service, it was a mixed experience: one staff member was very kind, while another was surprisingly rude. So overall, I’d rate the service as average. Worth a visit for the setting, but don’t expect standout coffee or consistent hospitality.

"Cozy and Friendly Spot with Great Vegan Options"

This café is super cute with a warm and welcoming vibe. The staff are friendly, and it’s a great choice for both vegans and vegetarians. While the prices are slightly higher than other spots in the city, they’re still quite reasonable—an oat milk latte and a granola bowl with toppings came in at under €10. A lovely place to enjoy a healthy and tasty breakfast or snack!

"Cozy Spot with Outstanding Coffee and Friendly Service"

This place is adorable and tends to fill up quickly, which speaks to its popularity. The standout feature is definitely the coffee—it’s excellent! The toast was tasty, though I found the bread a bit too firm for my liking. The staff provided very attentive service, and the cozy atmosphere makes it a great spot to relax and enjoy a cup.
