"Unprofessional and Frustrating Booking Experience"
I booked the “From Paracas: Mini Buggy Tour & Sandboarding at Laguna Moron” experience on GetYourGuide. After booking, someone named Luciana contacted me asking if I could switch to a 3 PM time slot due to low tourist numbers in the morning. I agreed, but then never heard back. Despite multiple texts and calls, there was no response. Only after I filed a complaint with GetYourGuide did Luciana finally offer a 3:40 PM time slot. This was extremely unprofessional and felt almost like a scam. GetYourGuide is providing a refund for this issue, but it’s frustrating to think what could have happened if I hadn’t followed up. I would avoid this provider if possible.
"Disappointing Tambopata Amazon Tour – Unsafe and Uncomfortable"
We went on the Tambopata Amazon 2-day, 1-night tour from Puerto Maldonado, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. For the price we paid, the accommodation was awful—dirty, uncomfortable, with no fans in the extreme heat, and we often went hours without water. The food was also poor. Safety was another major concern. On the boat and rafts, life jackets were provided only at the start, despite the trips being quite dangerous. During the Sandoval Lake visit, we were surrounded by crocodiles and piranhas, yet no life jackets were provided. It’s clear that this agency pays little attention to safety, hygiene, or basic comfort. We later learned there are much better options in the area. Overall, we cannot recommend this tour.
"Excellent Support and Well-Organized Tours with PV Travels"
I have used PV Travels for my volunteering trips and excursions, including Rainbow Mountain, and my experience has been fantastic. They provide excellent support and are always available to help throughout the trip. Prices are fair and reasonable, and the service is very well organized. Special mention to Mirian, who was incredibly helpful and professional. I’m unsure why some reviews are negative, as my experiences with PV Travels have been consistently positive, and I highly recommend them.
