"Underwhelming Experience – Look Into Other Options"
We did the 1-day KM 104 hike. The briefing lacked useful info and could’ve been a simple message. The food provided was fine but unnecessarily heavy to carry. The guide was okay but not very engaging. The hike itself was scenic and challenging, but we didn’t get to explore Machu Picchu, despite finishing hours early. With 4+ hours to kill in Aguas Calientes and limited value for the price, I’d recommend a 2-day option—and possibly another company.
"Mixed Feelings – Beautiful Experience but Poor Value"
The island stay was lovely and the guide was kind, but the tour felt overly touristy at first. It was also overpriced—similar tours are available for a third of the cost. While it claimed to benefit locals, we learned families only receive a small flat fee, which felt misleading. A beautiful trip, but not great value for money.
"Beautiful Hike, Terrible Operator – Avoid Quechua Expeditions"
The scenery was incredible, but the company was a mess. Miscommunications from start to finish—no clear prep info, false promises about meals and gear, and zero organization. We were told to skip breakfast but didn’t eat until 4:30pm after a 4.5-hour hike. Despite confirming my vegetarian diet multiple times, I wasn’t given any meat-free meals. On the last day, after hiking since 4am, they tried to deny us lunch. Only the guide and the views saved the experience. This company is disorganized and unprofessional—book elsewhere.
"Disorganized and Lacking Key Info"
While communication via WhatsApp was decent, important details—like needing cash for entry tickets—weren’t shared in advance, leaving some travelers scrambling. The guide was juggling multiple tours, so I ended up coordinating parts of my itinerary myself. It left me questioning the value of booking through this tour operator.
"Careless Mistake, Zero Support"
The agency booked my Machu Picchu entrance under the wrong name, which caused serious delays and stress due to strict ID checks. Our guide, Fernando, was amazing and worked hard to fix the issue after hours of waiting and calls to the Ministry of Culture. The agency itself offered no help at all. Extremely disappointing.
"Two Tours – Decent Experience, but Room for Improvement"
I did both the Sacred Valley and Rainbow Mountain day tours. The Sacred Valley tour started well with a timely pickup and a buffet breakfast (same as lunch), which was decent. We visited all five major sites, but everything felt rushed. For the Rainbow Mountain tour, I waited 40 minutes in the cold at 4am for pickup—frustrating and unnecessary. While the meals were in a different restaurant, they were nearly identical. We started the hike at 9:30am when it was already very crowded, and only had about 30–60 minutes at the top before leaving at noon. For the discounted price I paid, I’m satisfied. However, here’s what could be improved: Staggered, pre-informed pickup times to avoid long waits in the cold. Start the Sacred Valley tour earlier to allow more time at the sites and avoid rushing. Combine Rainbow Mountain with Red Valley—even if it ends later, most would appreciate the added experience. Offering coffee at lunch, not just breakfast, would be a nice touch.
"Poor Organization and Terrible Food"
The company was disorganized—we only learned about the briefing because we went to the office ourselves. Despite what the website says, there was no proper bathroom on day 2, and we had to pay to shower. The food was awful—4 days of badly cooked meals. Very disappointing experience.
"Unforgettable Salkantay & Short Inca Trail Experience"
We did the 4-day Salkantay Trek with Short Inca Trail through Quechua Expeditions. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and while the altitude was challenging, the experience was unforgettable. Our guide, Jose Luis, was quiet but very thoughtful throughout. A big plus: the company didn’t cancel our tour even though there were only two of us—this really speaks to their integrity and commitment to service!
"Disorganized and Dishonest – Avoid This Company"
The company changed the itinerary without informing us. I booked the dome expedition but never got it—and they refused a refund, claiming they "upgraded" us to a noisy hotel with no hot water. A common lie, as others experienced the same. Machu Picchu was scheduled for the morning but happened at 3 PM, so we returned to Cusco at 11:50 PM. The return train was in complete darkness—pointless, shaky, and even caused motion sickness. Our guide was great, but the management clearly prioritizes profit over people.
"Disappointing and Dishonest"
They falsely claimed the tour was fully booked when it wasn’t. Poor communication and no willingness to help. A very frustrating experience.
