"Dirty Train and Poor Comfort on Vienna Route"

The train arrived in Vienna in a dirty condition. My bin in Relax class (seat 45) was overflowing, and my window — the only one without blinds in the class — was also dirty. Additionally, the cheap AGC Restex glass used in the windows didn’t block much UVA, making the ride uncomfortable. I’ll definitely choose a different company next time.

"RegioJet Vienna Lounge: Comfortable but Train Issues Persist"

RegioJet’s Vienna station lounge is convenient, allowing passengers to access it one hour before departure to enjoy WiFi, comfortable armchairs, and complimentary coffee or water. However, the train journey to Prague itself was uncomfortable — our carriage and two others had broken air conditioning, making the ride hot and unpleasant. Aside from that, the price-to-quality ratio of the service is acceptable.

"Frustrating Refund Experience with RegioJet"

I am extremely dissatisfied with how RegioJet handled my refund request for a missed connection that was entirely beyond my control. Returning from a vacation in Burgas to Vienna, our flight was delayed by about an hour, causing us to miss our pre-booked bus connection from Schwechat Airport to Bratislava. We had purchased five tickets for my family, and missing the connection forced us to buy more expensive tickets from another carrier late at night, as buses were no longer running and options were limited. I contacted RegioJet immediately, explaining that our tickets had never been scanned and asking for a refund, partial credit, or some form of compensation. After weeks of follow-ups, the complaints department finally responded, and 15 days later, I received a statement from the director, Mr. Radim Jančura, rejecting my request entirely. Despite multiple emails and explanations, they refused any compromise. It’s frustrating that a responsible company could not acknowledge that I paid for a service I did not use due to circumstances beyond my control. I ended up losing money, paying more for alternative transportation, and receiving no compensation. I cannot recommend RegioJet, and I will be using other carriers like FlixBus or Slovak Lines in the future. Travelers should be cautious, as RegioJet does not seem willing to resolve issues fairly when delays occur outside the passenger’s control.

"RegioJet Lounge Staff Overworked Despite Good Facilities"

How RegioJet, under @Roman Jancura, treats its employees is shocking. During our visit, there was just one extremely stressed lady managing everything alone — attending to customers, answering queries, and running the lounge service, including maintaining the coffee machine. It felt more like slave labor than a job. The lounge suffers as a result: tables and glasses were dirty, the coffee machine lacked milk, and opening hours were limited since there weren’t enough staff to cover shifts until the last train. On the positive side, the coffee was surprisingly good — better than on the train — and chocolate and hot or cold water were available. The lounge itself is a helpful facility that makes waiting more comfortable, but RegioJet should seriously consider hiring at least three staff members to provide a proper service.

"Missed Opera Due to Delays on Prague–Vienna Train"

I’m stuck on a train at Letovice with a two-hour delay. I had only allowed two hours to get to Vienna for the opera, and now it’s clear I won’t make it. I was warned that delays are common on the Prague–Vienna line, but experiencing it firsthand is incredibly frustrating. Upon further investigation, it wasn’t a train signal issue but an ambulance and police activity, and apparently this kind of disruption happens three to four times a week. Despite paying for the opera and the train’s promise of 100% on-time service, no refund has been offered. I’m so frustrated that I plan to document this and share it online to warn others not to rely on this route.

"Delayed Vienna–Budapest Train with Technical Issues"

On the Vienna–Budapest route, our train was one hour late, turning a 2.5-hour journey into 3.5 hours. There were technical problems with the heating, making the ride uncomfortable. On the positive side, the ticket price was reasonable, and the bathroom was clean.

"Terrible Food Service and Uncomfortable Seats on Wien–Prague Train"

Our group of four traveled from Vienna to Prague by train, and the day before our trip, our departure time was changed and our seat numbers were shuffled, separating us. However, the worst part came onboard. About 20 minutes after boarding, we all ordered food and drinks. One order arrived almost immediately, another an hour later, and for me and another friend, it took 2.5 hours to receive a pre-packaged wrap and coffee from the coffee machine. When I politely asked for an explanation and an apology, the staff simply said, “As you know, we have 7 wagons on this train,” and walked away. Absolutely ridiculous. On top of that, the seats were extremely jumpy, making the ride even more uncomfortable.
