"Regnum is not the same"

We’ve been coming to Regnum as a family since 2018 and have always loved it for its excellent service and sense of privacy. We usually stay in the villas and trusted the hotel enough to pay for everything six months in advance and even invited friends to join us this year. Sadly, our latest visit in May 2025 has been a huge disappointment. When we arrived, construction was in full swing. The beach where the boats dock was completely dug up and covered in pipes, dust from the work was blowing across the hotel grounds, and several facilities were unavailable. The kids’ club had been moved to a restaurant, the teens’ club wasn’t working at all, several restaurants were closed, the waterpark was shut down, the main amphitheater was under renovation, and even the golf course was closed. As for the villas, they were supposed to have been renovated by this season according to hotel management during our last stay. Instead, no updates have been made. The furniture is worn and damaged, the floors are scuffed, and the bathrooms felt dirty with old grime that clearly hadn’t been addressed. It was incredibly disappointing to see the property in this state. To be fair, our butler Serhat and villa manager Ugur went above and beyond to make the best of a bad situation, and the boat service team deserves special recognition for their efforts too. However, our main frustration lies with the hotel management. Why sell stays at full price without informing guests that the hotel is still under major renovation and much of the infrastructure is non-functional? A little honesty upfront would have gone a long way. This experience has left us questioning whether we will return in the future.

"Premium vacation with family"

We had an unforgettable stay at Regnum Carya as a family with our 7-year-old son. The services and entertainment were all top quality, and everything exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a luxurious and family-friendly getaway!

"Everything could have been better"

We chose Regnum Carya after spending five nights at Maxx Royal Belek, where the service was absolutely exquisite. Unfortunately, from the moment we arrived, it was clear this resort does not deliver the same 5-star experience. During check-in, no one offered us drinks, and when I requested something, the presentation was poor—chocolate-dipped strawberries arrived in a plastic container, which felt far from premium. At the pool, there were no towels laid out on the sun loungers; instead, guests are expected to fetch their own. With a 10-month-old and a 6-year-old, this was incredibly inconvenient. To make matters worse, there’s no proactive poolside food service. At Maxx Royal and NG Phaselis Bay, waiters constantly circulated with complimentary snacks like fruit, gozleme, and drinks, frequently checking if we needed anything. Here, I waited 30 minutes for water, only for the waiter to completely forget my request. The biggest disappointment came when I became unwell. At Maxx Royal, my assistant handled all medication requests seamlessly, delivering everything to the room and charging it to our account. At Regnum, I was told to go to the lobby to request medications through the concierge. When the medications arrived, I was asked to pay cash. I explained I didn’t have any on me because I was caring for my baby and using a nebulizer. Instead of charging the room, the concierge asked me to withdraw money from the ATM or pay via IBAN. Later, he even sent me rude “???” messages on WhatsApp when I didn’t respond quickly enough—completely unprofessional and unacceptable for a luxury resort. The guest assistant felt like I was messaging an automated bot, offering little help. Housekeeping also left much to be desired; once, we returned to find both bathrobes missing and not replaced. To be fair, the hotel grounds and waterpark are stunning, but the service falls far short of a true luxury standard. Even small details like celebrity photos on the walls give the place a slightly tacky feel instead of refined elegance. Regnum Carya has the potential to be amazing, but until they significantly elevate their service and staff training, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone seeking a real 5-star experience.

"Level not matching price"

This year we decided to try a high-level resort holiday and chose Regnum Carya, hoping for an exceptional experience. We were also looking forward to exploring the Crown and its infrastructure during our stay, but unfortunately, it wasn’t open at the stated time. Sadly, I can’t say we were happy with our vacation overall. The first impression was tarnished right away when we were checked into a room that did not match our reservation. While the correct room was eventually provided, it took time and effort on our part, leaving us frustrated instead of excited. Small details that should have been standard at this level—like a beach bag in the room—were missing and only delivered upon request. Even worse, when I tried to purchase an additional bag before departure, I waited 40 minutes for it to arrive, only to cancel the order because our transfer had arrived. Similarly, minibar restocking was inconsistent and often required repeated requests. Dining was one of the biggest letdowns and made me feel more frustrated than relaxed. Whether at the buffet or the beach restaurants, the experience was depressing. I have never seen a 5-star buffet where so much food sits under cling film, making breakfast feel like a trip to a grocery store salad section. Dishes weren’t replenished promptly (for instance, eggs often ran out), and when available, poached eggs arrived with hard yolks, pancakes were tough, and buckwheat and crepes were unappetizing. The same dishes stood in the same places day after day—Caesar salad sat there for seven days straight, giving the impression nothing new would be offered until it was finished. Many items were missing altogether even though their name cards were displayed—like sushi, which never actually appeared despite the setup. Fresh juices were a highlight at breakfast, but during lunch, they were often fermented and undrinkable. My son kept checking the buffet daily, hoping for fun treats, but in two weeks, only once did he find anything exciting for kids (a single offering of caramel and cotton candy). Another significant drawback was the poor Wi-Fi. It hardly worked in many areas, even parts of our room and the balcony, making it nearly impossible to stay connected for work or even coordinate plans with family members—especially challenging with young children.

"Standards dropping."

The hotel itself is lovely, but the service is not on par with other five-star resorts. It’s frustrating that you can’t pre-book anything—whether it’s buggies, the pier villa, or other amenities—and when you try to reserve on the day, everything is already fully booked early in the morning. The front desk service in English is also lacking, making communication quite difficult. Additionally, the overall service in the restaurants does not match the level expected of a luxury property.

"Family holiday in Antalya"

We spent a wonderful week in the Crown Villa, and it was an unforgettable experience. The villa staff were absolutely fantastic, always going above and beyond to cater to our every need—nothing was ever too much trouble for them. Regnum Carya is truly an amazing resort for families with children. It offers the biggest and best kids’ club we’ve seen, a fun water park, great evening shows, and an impressive variety of restaurants to choose from. A perfect place for a family holiday!

"did not meet expectations"

While the hotel has potential, there are several areas that need attention. The number of loungers around the pools is insufficient, with only one or two available at each pool, leaving guests to arrange their own seating. Shuttle service is inconsistent, with long waits of 15–20 minutes at times. We were disappointed that a la carte restaurants were fully booked, despite the hotel not feeling particularly crowded. Additionally, when asking about prices for services like the kids’ kit, the reception staff were helpful, but the same query made via phone was met with indifference. Cocktails at the bars were not very professional, lacking the quality expected from a resort of this level. Overall, more attention to guest experience and service consistency is needed.

"One of Beleks finest all inclusive"

Having visited Belek multiple times and previously staying at Maxx Royal and Gloria Serenity, we decided to try something new this year and chose Regnum Carya based on its reputation as a top-tier resort. Overall, we had a wonderful 10-night stay, but there are a few areas where the hotel could elevate its experience to truly rival its peers. Our arrival was slightly underwhelming as we weren’t greeted on arrival, and we had to approach reception ourselves to check in. However, once they realized this oversight, the staff were quick to make amends with drinks and chocolate-dipped strawberries, setting a positive tone for the rest of the stay. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed. We stayed in a Jade room with a double balcony overlooking the activity pool, a large shower, double sinks, and a walk-in wardrobe. The housekeeping service was excellent, but turndown service was inconsistent—only happening twice during our 10 nights, though this didn’t bother us too much. The pools were fantastic. As a couple traveling without children, we loved the serene adults-only pool with its swim-up bar and relaxing atmosphere. The poolside DJ events on Wednesdays and Saturdays added a fun vibe. We also tried various water activities like aqua bike, aqua fit combat, and aqua bounce—all of which were well-organized and led by enthusiastic instructors. Entertainment and activities were plentiful, with a weekly schedule available via the app or WhatsApp assistant. The shows were hit-and-miss—while the dancers and acrobats were excellent, the singers felt average, and some performances seemed a little chaotic in concept. The restaurants were both a highlight and a slight frustration. The food quality was generally excellent, with standouts like Udon Thai (our favorite for its stunning setting and sharing-style dishes), Kushimoto Japanese, and Koz Turkish. However, the booking system for à la carte restaurants was unnecessarily complicated. You can only pre-book two restaurants in advance, and after using one, you have to wait until 8 a.m. the next day to make another booking—something that requires persistence. Luckily, we booked before a concept change, so Jet2 honored four additional à la cartes for free. The beach area is beautiful, though the sand quality varies—fine and soft near the grass areas but coarser and stonier near the water. There are multiple jetties, with the Crown deck offering a more tranquil experience compared to the main Regnum area. Alia Beach Club charges an additional €150, which felt excessive. The opening of the Crown Hotel during our stay was a pleasant surprise. Though not fully completed, it’s stunning, and adults traveling without children will appreciate its calmer atmosphere, adult-only areas, and more refined buffet restaurant. What really stood out during our stay was the staff. Despite the resort’s large size and guest numbers, staff members remembered our preferences, from our favorite sunbeds to drinks at breakfast and cocktails in the evening. Their attention to detail and friendliness made the experience feel personal. We also played golf three times before the course closed for maintenance and found it to be in excellent condition—challenging yet rewarding, with tight fairways and fast, undulating greens. Final verdict: Is Regnum Carya as good as Maxx Royal? In many areas, yes. The resort offers a luxurious experience with stunning facilities, attentive staff, and a wealth of activities. However, certain elements—like the restaurant booking system, inconsistencies in service, and small operational details—fall slightly short of Maxx Royal’s seamless standards. That said, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Regnum Carya and would happily return for another stay.

"Great stay"

This was our third visit to Regnum Carya, and I’ll admit I was a little apprehensive beforehand. With the hotel preparing to close for refurbishment and the opening of the new Regnum Crown, I worried that service levels might slip and we wouldn’t enjoy the same high standards we’d experienced on previous stays. I even considered changing hotels. Thankfully, from the moment we arrived and were welcomed at the impressive reception, my concerns melted away. Check-in was smooth and professional, and we immediately felt confident we’d made the right choice returning. We had no trouble booking à la carte restaurants, and the steakhouse overlooking the golf course was an absolute highlight—worth every euro of the extra charge. As always, the evening shows were spectacular and added so much to the overall experience. The only minor downside was that poolside service felt a little less frequent than before, likely due to reduced staffing ahead of the refurbishment. However, it didn’t detract from what was otherwise another excellent stay.

"Something missing…"

This was our second time staying at the hotel, and overall, we were quite pleased with our experience. However, one aspect stood out as needing improvement: many of the service staff seemed to have an obsessive and unhappy demeanor, often making it feel like a burden when we asked for something. That said, I want to make a special mention of Esra, the young lady who assisted us on our floor—she was warm, cheerful, and a true exception. The housekeeping team as a whole deserves praise for their genuine smiles, sincerity, and willingness to go above and beyond to address any needs or shortcomings we encountered.

"Very good – but quality is deteriorating"

We’ve been staying at this hotel every year since it opened and have always loved it. However, this year we noticed the quality level slipping slightly, and they really need to be careful not to let standards drop. The main issue is understaffing in several areas, leading to long waits for drinks and service. That said, many of the staff are working incredibly hard and deserve recognition—Ayfer, Selda, and Ramazan were fantastic and went above and beyond. One thing that’s always bothered me about this hotel, and it was the same this time, is the lack of guest engagement. During our entire stay, no one came to ask how we were enjoying our time. Even at checkout, the receptionist barely acknowledged us—there was no goodbye or thank you, which felt more like arrogance than indifference.
