"Beautiful View, but a Birthday Celebration Ruined by Horrible Food"

I was very, very disappointed with this experience, especially since it was meant to be my birthday celebration. While the view was absolutely stunning, everything else quickly went downhill. The server was just okay—not great—and the food was absolutely horrible. I’ve traveled to many places, and this was by far the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Please, do not waste your money here. I’m not someone who usually writes bad reviews, but this was completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, my nephew had made the reservation, and after the meal, the restaurant even reached out to ask how it went. He left them a detailed audio message about the experience—and they still haven’t bothered to listen to it.

"A Perfect Spot for Seafood, Drinks, and Ocean Views"

This is such a lovely restaurant to spend an afternoon enjoying delicious seafood and drinks while overlooking the ocean and watching the sunset. I especially loved seeing the flock of birds perched on the roof and flying around just outside the dining room—it added to the charm. It’s truly a special place and absolutely worth visiting when you’re in Lima.

"Stunning Views and Excellent Seafood, but Room for Improvement"

This beautiful, romantic, high-end restaurant is the perfect spot to admire the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. Specializing in seafood, the ingredients are first-class, and the preparation is very good. However, the food presentation lacks the “wow factor” you’d expect given the location and price point, which is why I’m not giving it a full five stars. The service is attentive and highly professional—though slightly on the formal side. I ordered a seafood pasta and had to request an extra plate for the clam shells, which really should have come by default. While this isn’t an unforgivable mistake, at this price level, such details matter. The seafood dishes were packed with flavor, but the desserts, though pleasant, felt a bit bland. Some flavor combinations worked beautifully, like scallops with Parmigiano cheese, but pairing them with lemon felt off, as lemon doesn’t complement Parmigiano in my opinion. The terrace is open year-round and makes for an unforgettable dining experience, though it can get chilly on winter nights despite the heaters because of the sea breeze. Overall, this is an iconic Lima restaurant that I’d recommend, but there’s still room for refinement—especially considering how competitive the city’s gastronomic scene is.

"Beautiful Setting and Sunset Views, but Disappointing Food"

I celebrated my birthday in Lima and chose this restaurant for dinner that evening. The space is absolutely gorgeous, and the sunset view over the ocean was breathtaking. The service was excellent as well, attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food left a lot to be desired and didn’t quite match the stunning setting.

"Beautiful Views and Great Atmosphere, but Food and Service Could Improve"

This restaurant offers amazing views and a lovely atmosphere—perfect for celebrating special occasions like my family did for my grandmother’s birthday. Reservations are a must. While the scenery and vibes are fantastic (great spot for photos), the food and service left room for improvement. We tried the tiradito (delicious and fresh), seafood platter, lomo saltado (huge chunks of tender beef), arroz con pato (green rice with braised duck—super tender), traditional fish ceviche, and salmon platter (just okay). Drinks, including the pisco sours, were also okay. Overall, it’s a nice spot for the experience and setting, but at 1000 PEN (~270 USD) for a party of six, the food and service could have been better.

"Stunning Location, but Service and Standards Fell Short"

We visited La Rosa Náutica for the first time and were captivated by its beautiful oceanfront setting—truly a lovely and romantic spot. Unfortunately, the service fell far below expectations, especially considering the premium price point. Our experience was marred by several issues: a wine glass arrived with black specks and was replaced with an empty one (but not refilled), bread that was presented as complimentary was later added to the bill (only corrected after we pointed it out), and cutlery came dirty multiple times. One mussel in our arroz con mariscos was closed—a clear safety concern—and was only partially replaced. Throughout the meal, no one checked on us, and we had to constantly flag down servers for attention. The food itself was decent but not exceptional. With such a stunning location, this restaurant has the potential to offer a seamless, world-class experience—but sadly, it didn’t. Disappointing given the hype and the prices.

"Fantastic Seafood with Stunning Ocean Views"

The seafood here is excellent, complemented by a spectacular ocean view. While it’s considered “expensive” by Lima standards, the prices feel normal—or even cheap—compared to U.S. dining. The tuna, salmon, and soufflé were all outstanding and worth every bite.

"Beautiful Atmosphere and Views, but Food Fell Short"

I’d rate this restaurant 3.5 out of 5 if I could. It has a great atmosphere and is a beautiful spot to dine, especially for the view. I ordered the daily special risotto, as did my mom, but unfortunately, the rice in both dishes was undercooked—borderline crunchy. I understand authentic risotto should have some bite, but this went too far. Still, it’s worth visiting for the setting alone.

"Overpriced Tourist Trap with Poor Service"

This restaurant is an awful tourist trap—every dish is massively overpriced and falls far short of the quality you’d expect at this price point. The service was equally disappointing. We specifically asked for a non-spicy ceviche for my dad, who can’t eat spicy food. The waiter assured us it wouldn’t be a problem, yet the dish arrived spicy. When we asked for it to be remade, they brought back the exact same plate we had sent back. This place does a disservice to Peruvian gastronomy and leaves a very poor impression. Thankfully, we had already experienced Peru’s incredible cuisine elsewhere at restaurants that actually care about their customers. Avoid this one.
