"Beautiful hotel"
Our stay at this hotel was truly delightful. The room was very large and beautifully appointed, with thoughtful touches like a basket for our towels and a scented candle in the shower. The bedding was of excellent quality, making for a very comfortable stay. From our terrace, we enjoyed a lush, green view that added to the sense of serenity. The hotel itself felt like a peaceful retreat, a calm haven that contrasted wonderfully with the bustling city outside. Everything was perfect—I truly didn’t want to leave!
"Out perfect honeymoon"
We couldn’t have imagined a better honeymoon! We stayed in the new Lofty with Pool Access, which was a beautiful and comfortable room. The resort itself is immaculate, beautifully built, and surrounded by lush trees and vibrant flowers. Every staff member was exceptionally friendly, warm, and always ready to help, making our stay truly special. Each day, we were delighted by exquisite culinary creations—beautifully plated meals that far surpassed the typical buffet experience of larger hotels. We also highly recommend the Thai & Oil Massage—it was wonderfully relaxing. We can’t wait to return one day!
"A beautiful resort with dream views"
We stayed in a pool-view room and quickly learned to keep the curtains closed for privacy. The rooms were spotless, and the staff were consistently friendly, helpful, and responsive to any special requests. The facility itself felt like a dream, perfect for unwinding and enjoying a peaceful stay. The only drawback is the location—transport is required to go anywhere outside the hotel, even to the nearest kiosk. Walking to nearby restaurants isn’t feasible due to road conditions, so having a vehicle or relying on hotel transport is essential.
"Many children, little rest (nice pool)"
The staff at this resort are exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, making guests feel welcome. The pool area is beautifully designed, surrounded by lush botanical gardens and very well maintained, creating a visually stunning environment. Breakfast is reasonable and offers a decent selection. However, this resort is very busy with children, especially around the pool, where sunbeds are often occupied and the atmosphere can be quite lively. If you’re seeking peace and quiet, this may not be the ideal choice. It’s perfect for families but less suited for those wanting a tranquil getaway.
"Nice hotel, food but better outside"
We stayed in July with our three children for nine nights in a family room with direct pool access. The resort is beautifully maintained, with rooms thoughtfully spread among lush plants, giving it the feel of a charming village rather than a large hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly, though the general manager in the restaurant came across as overly serious and occasionally intimidating to the children. The main downside was the exceptionally high prices for food and services. Dinner cost around 1,000 Baht per person plus a 17% service charge and taxes (over €30), while simple poolside lunches were about €15. Even a 0.75L bottle of water cost €7 with service fees! It’s worth stepping outside the resort to nearby local restaurants for excellent and much more affordable meals, typically between 120–180 Baht (€3.50–5). Despite the high costs, the resort’s atmosphere and layout make it a very appealing choice for families who prioritize comfort and a beautiful setting.
"I dont reccomend this hotel"
Our experience at this hotel was disappointing. The cleanliness left much to be desired, and the breakfast did not meet expectations. Staff were not very friendly, and overall service felt inattentive. The premium sea view rooms are outdated, with old furniture and doors that whistle when the wind blows. The overall attitude of the staff was negative, and the hotel did not feel like a true 5-star property. We would not recommend staying here.
"Great staff"
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, thanks to the warm and friendly staff who ensured towels and water were replenished daily. The air-conditioned rooms were lovely, and the location works well if you have your own transport, though the hotel also offers some convenient free shuttles. Food was good overall, with breakfast offering a solid selection of fruit, cooked dishes, and drinks. The bar served excellent cocktails and really cold beer, making it great value for the price. On the downside, the beach is very small and not always accessible, and sunbeds around the main pool and bar are limited. This often leads to early-morning “towel runs” by some guests, which can be frustrating. Despite these minor issues, the hotel provides a comfortable, enjoyable stay, especially for those looking for good food, friendly service, and excellent value.
"Not as expected"
We chose Rocky’s after careful research, hoping for a small boutique experience. Since earlier reviews, the hotel has added more rooms, which made the property feel a bit cramped and put pressure on shared facilities. Our initial sea view room was disappointing, overlooking the back of the kitchen and air-conditioning units. Thankfully, the hotel staff promptly moved us to a loft room in the newer building, offering a breathtaking panoramic sea view and the largest double bed we’ve ever seen. The room was spacious enough for four people, though storage was limited. The added rooms also meant that sunbeds were sometimes insufficient, and the garden pool was our preferred choice due to safety concerns at the sea-view pool, where wet tiles made slipping a real risk. Polly at the hotel was quick to help when my wife had a minor fall. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful, with Joke standing out for discreet and efficient bar service. Food at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced, though breakfast fell short, with limited fruit, stale pastries, but decent cooked-to-order dishes. Our main issue was the prevalence of smoking in public areas, including in the pools—a practice we found surprising and unpleasant. Overall, Rocky’s has charm and excellent views, but the expansion has brought some challenges that the hotel should address.
"Boutique style relaxed vibe."
This small, intimate boutique-style resort offers a relaxed and welcoming vibe. The staff are very attentive, making guests feel well looked after throughout their stay. The property features two lovely pools and a small private beach, with paddleboards and kayaks readily available. Rooms are spacious, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with nice touches like beach bags and sun hats. The breakfast is excellent, though evening meals and resort events tend to be expensive compared to local dining options. A short half-hour walk—slightly tricky due to uneven pavement—leads to Lamai Beach, where nightlife options abound. The only real drawback we experienced was poor service during a Thai dinner evening. Overall, this resort is perfect for those seeking a tranquil, well-appointed stay with attentive service and easy access to both relaxation and local attractions.
"Comfortable room with some disappointments"
The room at this hotel was absolutely stunning—spacious, beautifully decorated, with a super comfortable bed and pillows. The balcony offered a breathtaking view, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. On the downside, beach access was limited, and the small beachfront pool didn’t fully meet expectations. The entrance to the property was also tricky to find, as the signboard wasn’t clearly visible from the main road. At night, it was even harder to see, so first-time visitors need to drive slowly and take a sharp turn to avoid missing it. What stood out most, however, was the staff interaction. There seemed to be a noticeable difference in how they treated guests, appearing friendlier and more attentive toward foreign visitors, which left an unfortunate impression. Overall, the room and view were fantastic, but improvements in service, accessibility, and facilities would make the stay more seamless and welcoming for all guests.
"We would definitely come back!"
Our stay in a beachfront room with a private pool was absolutely stunning. The room itself was beautifully designed, offering both comfort and privacy. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, fulfilling every request with a smile and making us feel truly pampered. We also enjoyed the massage, which lived up to our expectations, leaving us completely relaxed. The resort organized some memorable events, including a BBQ on the beach accompanied by a spectacular fire show, adding a special touch to our stay. This resort is ideal for those seeking luxury, personalized service, and unique beachfront experiences.
"Average"
We found Rocky’s to be quite average and underwhelming, especially considering it’s popular for family holidays and even honeymoons. The rooms were a mixed bag. Our daughter’s fan made a clunky noise, making it difficult to sleep, and both rooms had slow, poorly flushing toilets. Interiors were nice, but early morning noise from passing cars and staff arrivals disturbed our rest. The pool area was disappointing—tiles were slippery and dirty, and the pool bar staff were slow, often unavailable during lunch breaks. The beach was very small, tidal, and unsuitable for swimming, which was a major letdown compared to our previous stay at Chaweng where the sea was perfect. The hotel is also quite isolated, with nothing nearby, and large construction next door added extra noise during our stay. Breakfast was noisy and far from relaxing. Overall, Rocky’s did not meet our expectations, and we would not return.
