"Great short stay"
We were initially a bit concerned after seeing the review score drop from 4.1 to 3.9, but our worries were completely unwarranted. We had a wonderful one-night stay after our cruise. The staff were friendly, smiling, and incredibly courteous throughout our visit. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was enjoyable as well. The only minor issues were that our terrace room felt darker than we preferred at night, and the large hot tub took almost 45 minutes to fill, so we gave up. Aside from these small points, we had a great experience and would definitely return.
"Great boutique hotel not quite a 5*."
This boutique hotel is ideally located, about a 10-minute walk to the Colosseum and 15 minutes to the Trevi Fountain. While classified as 5*, it might feel more like a strong 4*+. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and our room was ready by 11:30, which was very convenient for dropping off our bags before exploring the city. We booked a junior suite with a balcony and city view. The room wasn’t as large as expected, but the dividing wall between the bedroom and seating area provided privacy for our 16-year-old. The bathroom was small, dark, and had limited storage and towel-hanging options, though the Aqua Parma toiletries were a nice touch. Wardrobe space was minimal, with the cupboard also housing the safe and minibar, making it tricky to store longer items. The room lacked true air conditioning despite a wall controller, and the keycard holder did not fully control the lighting. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options including fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cakes, meats, cheeses, eggs, bacon, and sausage. All staff we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall, we liked the hotel—it was comfortable, pleasant, and staffed by a welcoming team.
"We would come again"
The hotel has a fantastic, very central location—just a few minutes’ walk from the Colosseum—and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and clean, making for a pleasant stay. On the downside, the air conditioning in the room wasn’t working properly, and the breakfast was rather simple, with the coffee falling short of typical Italian standards. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.
"Disappointed by the number of stars, sold"
This hotel was marketed as a 5-star property on Booking, but in reality, it barely meets 1–2 star standards. The room windows are single-glazed and very old, letting in so much noise that it feels like you’re outside. The paint is peeling, and the breakfast falls far short of what you’d expect from a five-star hotel. Overall, the property is outdated and overrated.
"VERY GOOD BISTRO!"
This hotel offers a little luxury in a charming, authentic neighborhood. It features a bistro open to both guests and non-guests, serving very good food, with highlights including the stuffed zucchini flowers and grilled octopus. Portions are on the smaller side, and prices are a bit high, but the service is fast and efficient. Arriving before 8 p.m. means you’ll likely have the place mostly to yourself. Overall, it’s a very good choice and a refreshing change from other establishments in the area.
"Where to stay in Rome"
This hotel offers a perfect location, with exceptional service at the front desk and during breakfast. The bar is fantastic, and our room was clean and spacious. The staff went out of their way to fulfill all our expectations, creating a truly welcoming experience. The atmosphere is 100% Italian, and the hotel offers excellent value for money.
"Great location!"
We originally booked Hotel Caravita, but due to renovations, we were moved to its sister property, Roma Luxus. The hotel is in a great location for exploring Rome, close to excellent restaurants, and the breakfast was very good. While it is considered a 5-star hotel by Italian standards, it felt closer to an international 3-star. Overall, we enjoyed a very comfortable four-night stay.
"Loved everything at the Roma Luxus, location, staff, rooms, breakfast,…"
We loved our stay at the Roma Luxus! The location was perfect, walkable to everything. The staff was amazing, from the front desk went out of their way to get us settled, restaurant recommendations and cocktails at the bar, Filipo is the best! The rooms were modest and comfortable. Breakfast was over the top, we loved stopping by every morning. We will be back!!
"Great location,great staff"
The hotel has a fantastic location, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a feast with plenty of options, making for a great start to the day. The only minor drawbacks were the lack of English-speaking TV channels or access to apps like Netflix, and the air conditioning in the room was quite loud. Despite these small issues, it didn’t significantly affect our stay.
