"Just one night"
Stayed one night in the new building. The room was small but had a big fridge—no kettle, tea facilities, or phone though. Staff were friendly, and the morning courtesy van (35 THB) was very convenient for my early flight. Location isn’t great for much besides local food, but perfect if you just need an overnight stay to avoid Bangkok traffic. Overall, a good choice for airport connections.

Don Mueang International Airport is one of Bangkok’s two main airports. It primarily serves low-cost carriers such as AirAsia, Nok Air, and Malindo Air, making it a popular hub for domestic travelers and budget international flights.
"Great for 1 night before flying"
Stayed here before a connecting flight to Phuket. The hotel was a little hard to find, but the rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were very friendly and helped arrange a taxi for the next morning. Plenty of restaurants and food shops nearby, though we didn’t have time to explore much during our short stay.
"Manage your time wisely"
Don Mueang Airport has become increasingly popular in recent years, but be prepared as immigration clearance can take around 30–40 minutes. For those traveling on a budget, the A1 and A2 buses located on Level 1 are the most affordable options, costing only 30 THB each. The A1 bus is the faster choice, taking you directly to Mo Chit station, where you can conveniently connect to the BTS Skytrain to reach the city center areas such as Victory Monument or Siam Paragon. The journey usually takes 25–30 minutes without traffic, though heavy congestion can extend it to about an hour. Alternatively, the A2 bus goes directly to Victory Monument but makes more stops along the way, so it’s slower and more affected by traffic. While taking the A1 bus plus a BTS ride from Mo Chit will cost roughly 60–65 THB, nearly double the A2 fare, it’s often worth it for a quicker, smoother trip.
"Not so many restaurants"
We only found two coffee shops of the same brand in the arrival hall—would have loved more variety, especially since we were hungry but a bit picky =)). The walk to the taxi area is quite far, so be prepared if you’re carrying a big or heavy suitcase.

Don Mueang Airport is a convenient and less crowded option for travelers. It provides easy access to destinations across Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. Located close to the main highway leading into Bangkok, the airport makes transit simple and efficient. Reaching the city center is hassle-free, whether you choose a taxi, bus, or metro connection.
"Close to airport."
Close to the airport with a free transfer service, which is very handy. They also offer free tea and coffee all day and free toast and jam in the morning. Unfortunately, the bed was extremely hard, and I couldn’t sleep well—though I know this is common in Thailand. I also had to change rooms because the patio doors wouldn’t lock (on the ground floor, Room 4, I believe). On the positive side, the staff were helpful and pleasant throughout my stay.
"good airport"
Don Mueang Airport can feel quite hectic at times, which is expected since it mainly serves low-cost airlines. On the positive side, there are halal food options available in the boarding area, though I didn’t notice a prayer room. Immigration procedures are fairly strict, so it’s best to stay prepared, follow the rules, and avoid carrying any prohibited items to ensure a smooth experience.
