"Lousy customer service"

We recently returned from Spain via Casablanca Airport to Toronto, and had an extremely disappointing experience with Royal Air Maroc. As we were disembarking the aircraft, my son accidentally left his brand new iPhone 16 in the seatback pocket. He realized this almost immediately—while we were still on the shuttle bus to the terminal—but we were not allowed to return to retrieve it. We immediately informed the ground staff at the help desk, but they showed absolutely no interest or willingness to assist. Despite tracking the phone and confirming its location—right at the help desk itself—we received no help whatsoever. My son filed a complaint with Air Maroc customer service and has followed up multiple times, but to date, we have received no assistance or meaningful response. The lack of urgency, accountability, and basic customer care from both the ground and customer service staff is appalling. For an airline of Royal Air Maroc’s size and reputation, this kind of service is unacceptable. We’re still hoping for a resolution, but this experience has left us extremely disappointed and unlikely to fly with them again.

"Not so bad…."

Thanks for sharing your balanced review! It’s clear you went in with tempered expectations, and while some aspects like the delay and disorganized boarding lived up to the concerns, it’s good to hear there were redeeming qualities—like the clean aircraft, decent food, and comfortable seating. Your note about the entertainment malfunction and so-so staff service adds valuable context for others weighing their options with Royal Air Maroc.

"No.consistency or follow through whatsoever."

My experience with Royal Air Maroc was extremely frustrating due to a complete lack of consistency and communication. First, the departure time for my flight changed four times in the two weeks leading up to the trip. Second, I requested a correction to a name error on my ticket, which involved four separate emails, three phone calls, and sending a copy of my passport. Despite all that effort, the correction was never made. On the day of travel, the confusion continued: the departure time listed on my ticket, on the airport board, and on the airline’s own website were all different. When I called the airline, I was told the gate would close at 9:30, so I rushed to get there by 9:20—only to find the gate hadn’t even opened yet. Every agent I dealt with seemed to operate by a different set of rules, and when I pointed out the inconsistencies, some staff became impatient or dismissive. Morocco itself is a beautiful country and absolutely wor

"STAY AWAY FROM ROYAL AIR MAROC!!"

I travelled with Royal Air Maroc from London Gatwick via Casablanca to Abuja international on the 29/30th of April respectively. I arrived at my final destination only to realize that my is missing, one week later, still haven’t got my bag. Called the customer care folks severally but they keep playing me around.. one was very rude while another said to me “ sir we have rush hour now, is there anything else I can do for you “ I don’t live in Abuja and what’s meant to be a fun trip is turning into a nightmare as I have to start buying clothes. They don’t know where my bag is and are unwilling to help. I’ve contacted the MP for my constituency to write a letter to the CEO, I’ve written to the Ambassador of Morocco to the UK and I’m prepared to take this as high up as I can in a bid to hold them accountable for the horrible way they treat their passengers. My advice : STAY AWAY FROM ROYAL AIR MAROC!

"worked well"

It’s great to hear your experience with Royal Air Maroc turned out better than expected, especially considering the initial concerns from mixed reviews. It’s always a relief when the service and comfort meet your needs, and the extra luggage allowance is definitely a nice perk. It sounds like it worked out well for your situation, even though it might not be your top pick.

"Average, but on time"

It’s great that the flight was on time, especially with the stop in Casablanca. A smooth journey always helps, even if the food and service are more basic. The price seems to have been a positive factor, which can often make up for those little shortcomings.

"Terrible airline!!"

The worst airline ever. It’s one week since I arrived and I still haven’t gotten my luggage. They left it in Casablanca. The most inefficient customer service also. I would never recommend

"Great fun on a well priced airline"

That sounds like a great experience! It’s always a win when you get the seat you want and can carry on two bags without any issues. Plus, free quality food and beverages make the flight even better. I’m glad the staff made it enjoyable for you. Would you consider flying with them again for your next trip?

"It was ok."

It sounds like you had quite a challenging experience. The lack of organization at JFK must have been really frustrating, especially with no clear lines for boarding. It's unfortunate that the food didn't meet expectations, but it's good to hear the flight attendants were helpful and welcoming. The situation with the counter staff in Accra seems especially disappointing. It can be really tough dealing with poor customer service, especially when you're already tired and trying to handle logistics like baggage weight. Spending an extra day in Casablanca without any clean clothes sounds like a real inconvenience too.

"Great flight; good meal service and professional crew"

That sounds like a great first experience with Royal Air Maroc! It’s always encouraging when a flight not only runs on time but also delivers comfort, quality meals, and professional service—especially when flying to less common destinations like Bangui via Douala. A smooth, well-handled transit can really make a difference in long-haul travel. Would you consider flying with Royal Air Maroc again based on this experience?
