"Bummer"
After years of enjoying what we always thought was the best Negroni, today was a major letdown. We tried two just to be sure, and both were awful. When we asked the bartender what could be wrong, the answer was the vermouth—they were using Martini & Rosso, which we never do. Honestly, it felt like the world was just falling apart!
"I liked it very much"
Located in the center of Rome, right in front of the Columns of Hadrian’s Theater—which alone is a spectacular reason to stay—this hotel impresses with its well-designed interior, elegant yet understated. The staff are excellent, providing attentive and professional service. The cocktails are outstanding, and the meals are simple but well-prepared. Prices are not low, but the experience justifies the cost.
"Patience with drinks to finish"
I rated this experience three stars mainly because of the waitress’s insistence on bringing us new glasses while we were still finishing our drinks, and because the drink prices were quite high. That said, the drinks and cocktails themselves were very good, and I can tell they are expertly made.
"Tony H"
The prices are on the higher side, but that’s to be expected in Rome. The food was delicious, and the surrounding area added to a charming experience. The lady who served us was friendly and attentive, making the visit even more enjoyable.
"Not worth a visit"
After reading other reviews, I almost canceled, but being within 24 hours of my reservation, I couldn’t avoid the fee. My experience was not rude, but the service felt transactional—neither warm nor particularly welcoming. My drink was just okay, and I wouldn’t order it again. Overall, this isn’t a place to relax with friends, and it’s probably worth skipping.
"Great aperols with a great view"
A lovely spot to enjoy an Aperol Spritz, just a short distance from Rome’s main tourist areas. The food and drinks are excellent, and the surroundings make for a truly enjoyable experience.
"Rudeness reigns"
The restaurant is a nice place with good food, but the service left much to be desired. When we asked for gluten-free bread, the waitress responded with wide eyes and a dismissive “no,” justifying it by saying there wasn’t much demand—a response that doesn’t seem reasonable for a central Rome restaurant. Additionally, when we split the bill and paid by card, the staff rounded the total up to a whole figure. With modern POS systems, there’s no need to do this manually, and given the earlier inconvenience, it would have been more appropriate to round down as a gesture of goodwill. Instead, we received the opposite treatment, which was disappointing.
"Very Good Drinks!"
We discovered this bar during our tour and decided to stop by since it was near our hotel. Though initially there was a small hiccup with entry requirements for tourists, the staff handled it professionally once they confirmed our documentation. The drinks were fantastic—our Moscow Mule and Passion Lavender were so impressive that we immediately ordered a second round. Each drink came with a variety of small bites, typical of an Italian aperitif, included in the price, which was a wonderful touch. Despite a slightly confusing start, the quality of the drinks, the tasty snacks, and the fair pricing make this bar highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy an authentic Italian aperitif experience.
"Localino for an aperitif all in all discreet but propose a blackened pinzimonio unforgivable misstep."
The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and a modest aperitif selection that could be improved. However, it is unacceptable to be served visibly aged or inadequately cleaned pinzimonio. Such a detail compromises the overall experience and raises concerns about the attention to quality.
"very intimate"
Strongly recommended by friends, this spot is perfect for enjoying small plates with an aperitif and savoring very nice cocktails. The carefully chosen music creates a warm, intimate atmosphere, and the staff is consistently courteous, making for a delightful experience.
