"Disappointing Experience at San Agustín Hotel"
Our stay was unpleasant. We paid $40 for early check-in to rest before a city tour, but were woken up two hours later by extremely loud drilling. When we raised the issue at reception, staff offered no refund or compensation—only a room move that wouldn’t realistically help. The lack of customer service and empathy was disappointing and left a bad impression. I cannot recommend this hotel for those seeking attentive and considerate staff.
"Good Hotel, But Overpricing Disappointing"
The hotel itself is very good, with nice rooms and a great central location. However, our experience was marred when we tried to extend our stay. Initially told a room was available for $85, we were later asked to pay $150—almost double the price within a few hours. This practice felt unfair and left a negative impression, despite the otherwise good hotel.

This hotel, formerly used by families visiting the monastery, has been beautifully restored. It features a lovely open-air lounge and restaurant. The included breakfast is incredible, with many choices, fresh fruit, and hot options, accompanied by local music that makes the experience special. Breakfast staff were warm and welcoming, and the reception team was helpful with luggage and local recommendations.

The location of this hotel is fantastic! However, the bed was too small, the rooms are modestly furnished, and it was very noisy at night. On our first morning, we only had cold water.

Housed in a charming colonial building with a modern extension at the back, it offers great breakfast and attentive service—Larry was especially helpful. The main plaza is just two blocks away, making it ideal for exploring Arequipa.

A very nice hotel in a pleasant neighborhood. Enjoy a drink in the calm garden and sleep well in comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly—Jaime, in particular, greeted us with a warm smile every morning at breakfast.

This hotel, set in a beautiful old stone building near the historic center, offers spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Reception was very friendly, and the breakfast waiter was attentive and always cheerful. Breakfast is plentiful, with fresh juices and fruit, and the hotel offers free coca tea (though no water dispenser). The location is convenient, within walking distance to restaurants, shops, bars, ATMs, and historical sites. However, our room faced a side street near bars and nightclubs, and the windows provided no sound insulation, making it quite noisy day and night.

This hotel is located in a pedestrian area, close to the city’s main attractions. The staff are very kind and attentive. On my birthday, Jamie surprised me with a piece of cake and the team sang a jingle—it made the day truly special.
"Great Location but Noisy Hotel"
The hotel’s location is excellent—right in the center of the old town, with all sights and restaurants just a 5-minute walk away. The rooms were clean and spacious. However, being next to the main street means constant honking day and night, which can be disruptive.
