"Saudi Flight Attendant MINA"
I had an unfortunate experience with one of the flight attendants—her name was either Meena or Mina. Her demeanor and attitude throughout the flight clearly indicated a lack of interest in her role. It was evident that she was not enjoying her job, and unfortunately, that reflected in the quality of service she provided. I hope the airline takes note and provides necessary training or support to ensure all crew members maintain a professional and welcoming attitude, as this directly impacts the passenger experience.
"Nearly suffocated"
On my journey from London to Jeddah, everything went smoothly with no issues. However, the return flight was a completely different story. After boarding the plane, we discovered that the air-conditioning was not working. We were trapped on board for about two hours in temperatures around 35°C, which was genuinely frightening and felt suffocating. What made it worse was the lack of communication from the captain throughout this ordeal. The airline should have returned us to the gate and allowed passengers to disembark while the problem was fixed. I submitted an official complaint through their website, but even after three weeks, I have yet to receive any apology or response. My advice: avoid this airline. While the flight itself was reasonably comfortable and the food was good, the airline operates like a cheap budget carrier and fails miserably when it comes to customer service. If something goes wrong, don’t expect any support — you pay your money and take your chances.
"Very good experience"
After reading some of the reviews here, I was seriously considering switching to another airline—literally any other—out of concern. However, due to time constraints, I had no choice but to stick with Saudi Airlines. Fortunately for me, that turned out to be a great decision. Both my inbound and outbound flights were smooth and efficient. There were no delays, the staff were professional and courteous, luggage handling was flawless, and the onboard meals were surprisingly good. A special bonus: we were able to upgrade to business class on our outbound leg at a very reasonable price. While I wouldn't categorize the experience as luxurious, it was absolutely great value for money. I may have gotten lucky, but based on this trip, I’d definitely consider flying Saudi again.
"Airport is full of Idiots. ( Saudi Airlines Ground Staff + Riyadh Airport Staff )"
That sounds absolutely awful and unacceptable. Being stranded like that, especially with kids and no basic care, is beyond frustrating. If you want, I can help you draft a strong complaint letter to Saudi Airlines and the Riyadh Airport authorities to push for better treatment and accountability. Would you like me to do that?
"A Wonderful Experience Flying with Saudia for My First Umrah"
I recently flew with Saudia from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah—my first time flying with the airline and also my first time performing Umrah. Naturally, I was excited but also a bit nervous, unsure of what to expect. Thankfully, Saudia made the journey not only smooth but also deeply comforting and aligned with the spiritual nature of the pilgrimage. Mid-flight, I developed a headache and asked a crew member, Dahlia, if she had Panadol. She went out of her way to find some and later followed up to see if I was feeling better. Her kindness and genuine concern truly stood out and made me feel cared for. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the airline catered to the unique needs of Umrah pilgrims. Since it was Ramadan and we were crossing time zones, the crew carefully timed meals for Suhoor and Iftar. They also made announcements when we reached the Miqat, helping everyone stay spiritually aligned with the journey. If you're planning to perform Hajj or Umrah, I wholeheartedly recommend flying with Saudia. Their understanding, care, and attention to the spiritual aspects of the experience make the journey feel seamless and uplifting. I couldn’t have asked for a better start to such a meaningful chapter in my life.
"Nice flight, bad seating arrangement"
Overall, it was a pleasant trip. The staff was consistently warm, smiling, and welcoming, which made the atmosphere onboard feel positive. However, the seating arrangement was a major letdown. When we checked in, I requested to be seated next to my wife. I was told the flight was full, but they would try to accommodate us during boarding. Unfortunately, once on the plane, we discovered that not only were we separated—but so were most couples and families. Nearly everyone seemed randomly assigned seats, leading to a lot of confusion and frustration during boarding. We arrived at the airport nearly four hours early, so it wasn’t an issue of late check-in. It was disappointing to see that thoughtful seating wasn’t prioritized, especially for families traveling together. A little more care in this area would go a long way in improving the overall experience.
"Luggage Weight is an Issue"
We had a smooth takeoff and landing, the food was good, and the seats were comfortable. However, considering the higher ticket price, the baggage allowance was very disappointing. A 23 kg limit per person is far too low for a family traveling internationally. We expected a more generous luggage policy, especially given the overall cost of the tickets. Hope Saudia considers revising this in the future.
"Average"
The flight offered a good selection of food and decent in-flight entertainment, which made the journey more comfortable. Seat size was reasonable, and I appreciated the free toiletries provided—definitely a thoughtful touch for a long-haul flight. However, the overall service could use improvement. The cabin crew were professional but somewhat distant; a little more warmth and approachability would go a long way in enhancing the passenger experience. More concerning was the condition of the toilets—some were in poor shape with broken cabinets being held together by tape. That’s disappointing, especially considering the effort and investment Saudi Arabia is putting into becoming a major tourist destination. Overall, the basics were covered well, but there’s definite room for improvement in both service and maintenance.
"Warning: Avoid Saudia Airlines Due to Unprofessionalism and Systemic Failures"
I have had multiple negative experiences with Saudia Airlines, characterized by unprofessionalism, incompetence, and blatant disregard for customer rights. First, I endured a six-month struggle to secure compensation for lost luggage, during which the airline ignored my communications until I threatened to expose their staff’s admission of fault. Second, after being stranded due to a delayed flight causing a missed connection, I was forced to purchase a new ticket at my own expense. Additionally, unauthorized charges appeared on my credit card, which Saudia has ignored despite repeated requests for a refund. Throughout these ordeals, the customer service agents showed a lack of training, empathy, and accountability. My final warning to potential travelers: Saudia Airlines prioritizes profit over customer dignity, providing no real support during disruptions. Avoid this airline to save yourself from financial loss, stress, and negligence.
"Thank you Saudi Arabia airlines"
This was the best travel experience I’ve ever had! The seats were very comfortable, and the in-flight entertainment offered a great variety of videos—I especially enjoyed the ones related to Islamic trips to Makkah. The food was amazing, and the crew was extremely cooperative and kind. They even provided blankets for passengers who were lightly dressed, which was a thoughtful touch. It was truly a very, very pleasant journey, and I would definitely love to fly with Saudia again in the future!
