"Still Possible to Buy Tickets Here"
You can still buy bus tickets for all major bus companies at this location. The map location is slightly off — it’s about 100 meters north of what’s shown. The place is a bit poorly maintained, but the staff are friendly and helpful.
"Decent but Overpriced and Uncomfortable Ride"
Although Selam Bus is one of the most well-known bus companies in Ethiopia, the experience doesn’t always match the price. The seats are quite small for the fare they charge, and the music and movies are played at very high volumes, sometimes starting as early as the morning, which can be uncomfortable. Another issue is that not all seats have opening windows, and most passengers prefer to keep them closed, making the bus feel stuffy. The seat layout shown on the computer screen at the ticket office also doesn’t match the actual arrangement on the bus, which can be confusing. That said, other companies in Ethiopia aren’t much different, so Selam Bus remains a fairly standard—though slightly overpriced—option for intercity travel.
"Poor Communication and Slow Service"
Tried calling the head office to book a ticket, but no one responded despite multiple attempts. Ended up booking elsewhere. On the road, the bus was extremely slow, making the journey longer than expected. Overall, very disappointing service — both in communication and travel speed.
"Service Discontinued After National Events"
It seems that the company has stopped operating following a series of unfortunate events in the country. It’s disappointing, as they used to provide a reliable service, but currently, no buses appear to be running. Hope they can resume operations safely in the future.
"Unable to Reach by Phone"
Tried several times to contact the company by phone, but the number is not working or unreachable. It would be great if they could update their contact details or provide alternative ways to reach customer support.

I called their office and they were very helpful and provided all the information I needed over the phone. Quick and friendly service — really appreciated their assistance!
