"Beautiful Grounds & Excellent Service"
What a beautiful setting! Although slightly outside the center of town, it’s only a short and inexpensive tuk-tuk ride away. The grounds and pool were among the best we experienced across eight luxury properties during our SE Asia trip. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the service was consistently top-notch. So why not a 5-star rating? Our room was just average—likely because we were traveling with a tour group, as the hotel seems to host many land and cruise groups. Instead of the lovely inner courtyard, our room faced the back of the property. While the foliage and waterway were pleasant, the nearby road detracted from the view. On the upside, the pool with its swim-up bar was a highlight, though drink prices were a bit higher than at comparable properties in Vietnam. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the dinner buffet we tried was decent—though very much a buffet experience. Overall, this is a wonderful place to relax and recharge after exploring nearby Angkor Wat.
"Great resort"
The hotel offers wonderful hospitality with many friendly staff who make you feel welcome throughout your stay. Rooms are spacious, well-kept, and even serviced twice daily, which was a nice touch. Breakfasts were outstanding with an impressive variety to choose from. The pool area is fantastic, offering plenty of amenities to enjoy and relax. Overall, a great place to stay!
"Disastrous bathroom!"
While the rooms are spacious, they are very poorly insulated — we could hear our neighbor coughing and even snoring. The layout also felt impractical: only one bedside table and one lamp, which is inconvenient for the person sleeping on the other side. The closet had no shelving, leaving no proper place to organize laundry. The biggest disappointment was the bathroom. There was no counter space for a toiletry bag, so we had to move everything into the room, which already lacked storage. The shower setup was also impractical — just a ceiling-mounted rain shower over the bathtub, with no handheld option. This made it impossible to rinse off without getting completely wet, or to shower without wetting your hair. Overall, the design feels stylish but not functional. Despite the nice garden, quiet setting, and caring staff, the lack of comfort and practicality makes this hotel average at best.
"Just an amazing hotel/resort."
The service here is truly impeccable, and the facilities are outstanding. The staff are some of the friendliest I’ve ever encountered. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cambodia!
"Super service but tired room"
The staff were absolutely lovely, the lobby very beautiful, and breakfast was plentiful and enjoyable. The pool is superb and a real highlight of the property. The location is also convenient: about a 30-minute drive to the golf course and just 10 minutes by tuk-tuk into downtown. That said, our room felt a little tired. The furniture was old-style, and there were no convenient charging points — we needed an adaptor. The bed was enormous (two doubles pushed together) but the quilt/duvet barely covered the sides, so whenever one of us rolled over the other was left without covers. The bathroom was dated as well, with chipped tiles and missing grout. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay with many good points, but based on the condition of our room, I wouldn’t quite rate it as a 5-star experience.
"A haven of tranquility and services"
No surprise — everything about this hotel is nearly perfect: welcoming staff, excellent restaurants and bar, comfortable rooms, and beautiful gardens. After active days, it’s an ideal place to rest and recharge. The only downside was the lounge, which doesn’t quite match the selection you might expect at a Sofitel if you enjoy alcohol. As a whisky lover, I was offered only Johnnie Walker Red Label, and the same limitation applied to room service.
"Relaxing and family friendly"
We had a beautiful long weekend at this hotel, enjoying the pool, restaurants, bars, and nearby Angkor temples. The wonderfully attentive staff were the highlight of our stay! Our daughter was warmly welcomed, with fun games, activities, and even a special children’s menu in the restaurant. The pool area was stunning, and we especially loved relaxing in the members’ bar for afternoon drinks with a view of the lake. Thank you for a truly memorable stay!
"Room for improvement. My spouse fell off the bed while sleeping because the edges sloping, overused.g"
The staff were very helpful, accommodating, and polite. Our room was spacious, though the shower head could be lowered, the tray mat replaced, and the mattress updated for better comfort. Additionally, the deck chairs were a bit dusty.
"Fantastic staff and lovey garden environment"
This was our first stay here, and from the start everything felt welcoming. Our airport pickup was prompt and even shared some local information with us, and throughout our stay the staff greeted us warmly, always helpful, friendly, and polite. The hotel itself has beautiful gardens, a lake, and a lovely pool area, with the rooms set apart from the main reception and restaurants. We were, however, a little disappointed with our room. It is in need of updating: there were no electric sockets near the bed, which made charging phones a challenge, the bed was quite hard (I ended up sleeping on one of the pillows), and there was a missing door stop so the bathroom door banged loudly each time it was opened. We also had lounge access, but this was in a shared restaurant space due to COVID cutbacks, which didn’t quite work. That said, when we raised our concerns, the hotel did everything they could to resolve the situation. The staff really went above and beyond — absolutely 5 stars for them!
"Possibly human trafficking go on at this resort."
I have mixed feelings about this property. The hotel itself is very nice, with good facilities and service. However, during our stay we observed behavior that was deeply concerning and suspicious, involving a young girl at the pool with an older man and another adult present. The situation appeared inappropriate and unsettling, and several members of our group felt uncomfortable and alarmed. While I cannot confirm any illegal activity, the circumstances left us with a very negative impression, and we are unlikely to stay with this hotel chain again. We feel strongly that businesses should ensure the safety and protection of children and vulnerable individuals on their premises.
