"Unfortunately, holiday joy did not happen 🥺"

We were looking forward to a relaxing holiday but were disappointed in many respects. Although the food was varied, it was consistently cold. Reviews suggested that food could be warmed up, but this should not be a standard expectation. When I approached the chef, he barely showed any enthusiasm while warming it up. The meat was overcooked throughout, and waiters often took a long time to serve drinks, never actively offering refills. Breakfast was simple but adequate. The pool was too cold, too small for the hotel size, and there were far too few loungers; to secure a spot, you had to arrive by 10 a.m. Our junior suite was spacious and beautifully decorated but very noisy. The bathroom had mold, which affected the overall impression. The beds were fine, but the stated “sea view” was minimal, especially when the lagoon was empty—a point that should be clarified. The hotel is extremely remote; without a rental car, there is no access to shops or public transport. A small bright spot was the hotel cat, Manolo, who delighted us every day. Overall, however, we cannot recommend this hotel, as the price does not match the experience.

"Amazing Stay"

We had an amazing stay at INNSiDE Fuerteventura. The hotel itself is stunning, but what truly stood out was the staff. Every single team member we met was not only professional but genuinely went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. Any request we made was handled quickly and with great care and attention to detail. You can really feel that the team loves what they do and takes pride in making guests feel comfortable and valued. This level of service is rare to find, and it made our holiday unforgettable. A huge thank you to the entire team — we can’t recommend INNSiDE Fuerteventura enough!

"A 5 star hotel let down by unfriendly staff and limited food options"

This review reflects our experience as two British women who spent five nights at INNSiDE Melia Fuerteventura. I would award 3.5 stars if possible, as three feels a little harsh given the many positive aspects of this hotel. The overall style, cleanliness, and ambience are outstanding, complemented by the beautiful beach location. Our ocean-view garden suite was gorgeous, with two generous, comfortable beds, a freestanding bath, and a two-person shower — the photos simply don’t do it justice. Despite the hotel’s size, it never felt busy, and there are plenty of relaxing spaces that maintain an intimate feel. The hotel is in a fairly remote location; aside from beach walks, the only nearby cafe was a 30-minute walk across sand dunes, and the airport transfer was rather long. However, there were several aspects that made the stay less than ideal. Yoga and Pilates availability was extremely limited — despite the website highlighting ocean-view classes, there were only a few sessions during our stay, and we managed to attend just two. The hotel is also not a spa hotel, contrary to some booking websites, with minimal facilities in the surrounding area. Staff attitudes were mixed; while a small number were friendly, most were cold or abrupt, and we were occasionally ignored at the snack bar for extended periods. Other guests seemed equally serious, which sometimes made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. We found the food underwhelming; breakfast was varied and well-presented, but dinner felt repetitive with bland vegetables, fatty meats, or oily fish. Pool bar lunches were tasty, and we opted to skip dinner most days. Water availability was frustrating — only small bottles were available for purchase, so we relied on room service to replenish the fridge. Additionally, the air conditioning in the rooms struggled in mid-August heat, never dropping below 24°C, and with mosquitoes abundant, we had to keep doors closed. Would we return? Unfortunately not. While the ambience, suite, and views are exceptional, the combination of underwhelming food and indifferent staff prevents us from recommending this hotel fully. We are, however, considering trying a different Melia property for our next holiday.

"Nice Hotel, But a Bit Overpriced for What’s Offered"

I stayed at INNSiDE by Melia Fuerteventura and overall had a pleasant experience, though a few aspects didn’t quite meet expectations for the price. The hotel is secluded, quiet, and peaceful—perfect for relaxation. The rooms are well-designed with comfortable beds, a balcony, and essential amenities like a fridge, wardrobe, and safe. However, minor improvements such as a kettle for tea/coffee and better bathroom ventilation would enhance the stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the evening entertainment in the main bar was a nice touch. The pool area and sun loungers were small but manageable, though it was a little frustrating that vaping was permitted nearby. Service was generally good, but at times items were out of stock at the bar or restaurant. Breakfast was enjoyable, but queues for hot drinks and occasional ants near the bread station were inconvenient. The dinner buffet felt overpriced and offered limited options, so we opted to eat in Costa Calma and Morro del Jable instead, where the food was tastier and more affordable. Another downside was the limited provision of water in the room—just two small bottles with no fountains nearby. In conclusion, the hotel itself is lovely and peaceful, but the space, food, and service could be improved to better match the cost. While enjoyable, the value for money was somewhat lacking.

"A perfect place for a decelerated getaway."

You can hardly experience a more beautiful stay on Fuerteventura: the hotel sits right on the edge of the lagoon with fantastic views over Playa Barca, and the crystal-clear, turquoise waters are only a five-minute walk away. This is a place for peace and seclusion — perfect if you enjoy tranquility. If you are looking for shopping, nightlife, or easy public transport access, this is not the right location, as there is no nearby bus stop and getting around requires good walking ability, a rental car, or taxis. From reception to the waiters and cleaning staff, every member of staff we encountered was extremely friendly, with Nicolás standing out for his exceptional service. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious, offering a wide range of healthy dishes to suit every taste. After a week on Fuerteventura, INNSiDE by Melia truly restored our sense of peace. The combination of breathtaking views, excellent service, and serene surroundings made it a wonderful experience. We will definitely be returning.

"Mixed opinions"

We loved the beautifully designed hotel in a beach-side location, maintained in spotlessly clean condition. The rooms were comfortable, and the overall ambience was very relaxing. However, there were a few drawbacks. The carpark is little more than rough gravel with a steep slope uphill to reception, so if you arrive by car, it’s best to drop your bags at reception first. There were several cats roaming freely around the hotel, including inside the restaurant and bar—one even urinated on a window while we were enjoying a quiet drink. Beach access isn’t ideal either, requiring either navigating the carpark or descending a steep, unofficial footpath. Service at the bar was disappointing, with the barman often distracted by his phone rather than attending to customers. Additionally, the WiFi didn’t work for the first two days of our stay. Overall, it’s a lovely hotel, but some practical issues affected our experience.

"The water sports hotel"

We have been guests at the lagoon for 20 years and continue to enjoy the calm, cleanliness, and friendly atmosphere of INNSiDE Melia Fuerteventura. The food is generally good to very good, though the coffee could be improved. A highlight of our stay is the morning yoga and Pilates lessons, offered by highly experienced trainers who cater well to both beginners and advanced students. However, the beach and lagoon areas are changing. The palm trees near the kite center look unhealthy and poorly maintained, and it’s likely that many will be gone in the coming years. It is also worth noting that the sunbeds on the beach require a 5-euro fee, which seems standard across the island. With the neighboring Melia hotel currently closed, there is no option to purchase water nearby, though we managed well by using our own kettle and tea bags brought from home.

"Stunning location poor food."

This was our fourth two-day stay, as we like to treat ourselves to a break midway through our self-catering holiday. You really can’t fault the location, which remains excellent. Unfortunately, this no longer makes up for the disappointing food. Meals were lukewarm at best, which is unacceptable at this price point, and the quality seems to have declined with each visit. Smaller dishes or bowls, replaced regularly, would easily solve the problem. Our first visit two years ago was a very different experience, and sadly, the deterioration appears consistent. On the positive side, if you prefer a cold buffet, there is plenty of choice, but for the price, we expect more than just a salad.

"Disappointment"

We were disappointed during our stay. Our room wasn’t cleaned every day, and we didn’t receive water daily. There was no accessible source of water outside of meal times, which made the all-inclusive experience frustrating. While the surroundings are beautiful and full of nature, this was our second visit, and unfortunately, it will be our last.

"Perfection, professionalism and smiles in an outstanding location"

INNSiDE Fuerteventura is a beautiful, boutique hotel where every detail is breathtaking. The food is outstanding, and the rooms are stylish with lovely extra touches. The gym is excellent, and the yoga classes are led by an inspiring and professional teacher. The views are absolutely stunning. The kitesurfing center is equipped with the latest gear, and the staff are both professional and fun. We have stayed here several times and continue to love the relaxed atmosphere and the exceptional level of service from every team member — they are all amazing. Thank you, INNSiDE Fuerteventura, for another wonderful holiday!

"Great location, exemplary service, very different guests"

This was my 45th visit to Fuerteventura, having stayed 39 times at the old “Gorriones” and six times at INNSiDE Melia. While the beach, lagoon, and overall landscape remain beautiful and unspoiled, I’m less excited than in previous years. Kitesurfing has become dominant, making it feel crowded and sometimes even intimidating when swimming near the shore. The designated bathing area is tiny compared to the vast beach, and kite surfers often come alarmingly close. Inside the hotel, the service remains outstanding. Reception, room staff, and especially the restaurant team were extremely friendly and attentive. Special mention to Ivans and Sascha at reception, who always had solutions at hand, and to Julia, Matteo, Pedro, and Simone in the restaurant, who made me feel genuinely welcomed and recognized by name. However, I was disappointed by the recent allowance of dogs on-site and the behavior of some owners. Dogs were on loungers without towels, allowed in the restaurant, and sometimes fed there. Owners did not always practice hygiene after handling their pets, which affected the buffet experience. While not everyone behaved this way, it made the holiday feel less relaxing for me. On the positive side, I met many lovely people again, which reminded me of the charm of the hotel’s community. Perhaps this evolving diversity is something future guests will need to adapt to.

"I want to and I can’t…"

The hotel has a beautiful setting, but we experienced several issues that affected our stay. There is limited space to relax by the pool, and not enough hammocks for guests. During breakfast, the presence of turtle doves was a distraction, and the roaming cats posed a problem for those with allergies — my partner was affected. Another inconvenience was the nightly clearing of exterior furniture from 11 p.m.; while understandable, it felt abrupt and even unsafe at times when items were moved carelessly. Finally, parking is very limited, forcing guests to leave their cars behind the hotel in an improvised area.
