"Overhyped Experience That Falls Short"
While the flavors at StreetXO are initially surprising and well-executed, the overall experience leaves much to be desired. The system of making guests wait at the door and then again at the bar—seemingly to push pricey cocktails—feels forced and unnecessary. The music is excessively loud throughout, making it difficult to hear the otherwise patient and kind waitstaff as they explain the dishes. Over time, the dishes begin to feel more about bold sauces than quality ingredients. Additionally, the cleanliness of the bathrooms was disappointing. In the end, it’s an experience—just not one I’d repeat.
"Fun Atmosphere and Bold Flavors, but Pricey for Street Food"
I had a bit of trouble finding the restaurant—it's located inside the Corte Inglés building, on the top floor. Once there, the open kitchen added a lively and entertaining vibe to the dining experience. We had booked in advance and arrived right when they opened, but since the kitchen starts a bit later, you're required to order drinks at the bar before being served. The food definitely has flair, especially the croquettes—they were outstanding. However, for street food, the prices are quite steep. It’s certainly more about the experience than value. The dessert, on the other hand, felt underwhelming and could use some improvement. Overall, worth trying once for the fun and theatrics.
"Consistently Delicious and Generous Portions"
We really enjoyed our visit—just like every other time we've been. It’s become one of our go-to spots, and we always leave satisfied. The staff usually recommends a minimum of six dishes to share between two people, but we opted for four and still couldn’t finish everything—they’re quite generous and filling. A great place to return to again and again.
"Worth the Wait — A Delightful Asian-Spanish Fusion Experience"
We had an amazing time here, and the roughly one-hour wait was totally worth it. It’s clearly a local favorite, as the lines were long and the energy lively. The fusion of Asian and Spanish flavors was spot on. Our favorites were the crabs and chips—definitely a highlight—and the Ramen XO with foie gras was delightful. The only dish that didn’t quite hit the mark was the Korean lasagna; it seemed a bit overwhelmed by nutmeg or cinnamon, which made it too overpowering for our taste. Overall, a fantastic spot well worth the wait!
"Overhyped Experience Tarnished by Long Wait and Mixed Dishes"
Our visit to StreetXO Madrid was, unfortunately, quite disappointing overall. We waited over three hours just to get a table, and after such a long wait, the initial excitement naturally faded. Inside, the atmosphere and presentation were impressive and lived up to the hype. However, the food fell short of our expectations. While some dishes were creative and elaborate, others felt forgettable, making it hard to justify ordering them. The service stood out positively—attentive and friendly—which is definitely a plus in a place like this. In summary, the experience had great potential but was overshadowed by the excessive wait time and a meal that didn’t fully match the buzz surrounding the restaurant.
