"Overcharged and Unprofessional Bus Staff"
I had a very disappointing experience with the staff member who debited my bus card today while traveling from Tavua to Lautoka. He charged both my card and my 6-year-old son’s card $5.04 each, effectively charging my child as an adult. This shows a lack of integrity and professionalism. Extremely frustrating—wish I could give a zero-star rating.
"Safety Concerns and Poor Cleanliness Overshadow Service"
It’s sad to see how this once-respected company has fallen from its former glory. The bus was mostly filthy, and the driver showed little concern for passenger safety. I had to ask the driver multiple times to slow down, which is worrying given the frequency of accidents on the roads. While I appreciate the effort, safety and cleanliness need serious attention. For now, only 2 stars.
"Dangerous and Poorly Managed Bus Transfer"
I had a terrible experience on a Sunbeam bus from Sigatoka to Suva on Mother’s Day Sunday. Upon reaching Navua, we were told to get off and transfer to another bus. It was raining, the bus was full, and there were many elderly passengers, babies, and people with large luggage. The replacement bus was in poor condition, and it became clear that the journey would take much longer than expected. Instead of sending a reliable bus, the company opted to cut costs and risked our safety by loading us onto a bus that was already faulty. What if the engine had failed completely or caught fire? The driver’s boss, who had been instructing from afar, seemed unconcerned. The only positive was our driver from the west to Navua—an older man who was kind and professional. The company’s service, however, is pathetic, unsafe, and poorly managed.
"Unprofessional and Aggressive Driver Experience"
Until today, I had consistently experienced excellent customer service from Sunbeam drivers and checkers. Unfortunately, the driver of bus FZ4Q4 completely shattered that impression. He shouted and swore at passengers without hesitation, creating an embarrassing and unsafe environment, especially for families with small children. When I politely reminded him that he is a PSV driver, he dismissively told me to “complain anywhere I want,” which raises serious concerns about the company’s oversight and tolerance for such behavior. This is completely unacceptable and needs urgent attention.

My experiences with this bus service have always been disappointing. The so-called “express” buses frequently require unnecessary transfers, making the journey longer and more frustrating. Seats are poorly arranged, passengers are constantly overloaded, and drivers engage in unnecessary bickering. On top of that, their reckless driving methods make the trip even more stressful. Overall, the service fails to meet basic expectations of comfort, safety, and reliability.

The buses themselves are average, and some are in poor condition, like having a broken windscreen. Despite being advertised as “express,” they stop frequently along the route, making the journey longer and less efficient than expected.

Some buses are marketed as “express,” yet they make frequent stops along the way, defeating the purpose. The facilities on board are often subpar—some buses have no air conditioning, and seats can slip or feel unstable. To make matters worse, a few drivers engage in careless and reckless driving, making the journey uncomfortable and unsafe. Overall, the experience often falls far short of expectations.
