"Excellent place to vacation"
Very good, generally was going through remodeling, but this does not affect the overall experience and sun very good place to vacation

We had a great time at Sunscape PV! Food was great, staff was very friendly, with special praise to the pool waiter Miguel - who was attentive, friendly, quick service and memorized our drink orders every day. Make sure to reserve your pool chairs early in the am as they fill up quick!
"The best family vacation!!"
We just returned from the most glorious family vacation! Traveling with our two boys, aged 12 and 8, we wanted an incredible beach, fun entertainment for the kids, and a swim-up bar—and this resort delivered on all fronts. The staff truly made our stay unforgettable. Christian, David, Linette, Josalie, Francisco, and the entire team kept our days entertaining and full of fun, from morning water aerobics to the 3 pm crazy game. Mario and Ricardo at the bar were fantastic with both adults and kids, even knowing exactly what our boys meant by “Kids Blue Drink.” The restaurant staff were attentive and efficient, and even during peak times, we never waited more than ten minutes. We loved the snack shack for the best cheeseburgers, and the World Café was open-air, offering tons of options—even for picky eaters. We also highly recommend at least one meal at Food Park across the street, and don’t miss a milkshake from the café there. Nightly entertainment was exceptional as well. While the hotel shows some wear and tear, the cleanliness is outstanding. The cleaning staff kept the property spotless, from swept leaves and sparkling floors to vacuumed pools and immaculate pool bathrooms. Rooms were cleaned and turned down every night. Renovations are ongoing in certain areas, and even when minor issues arose—like a coffee machine breaking down or the elevators being slow—they were fixed promptly. A special highlight was Rodrigo from Adventure Photos, who captured perfect family photos that will be cherished forever. If you’re looking for a phenomenal experience with staff who bring so much joy and energy to your vacation, this is absolutely the place. We cannot wait to return!
"Fun and Friendly"
We had some truly fantastic interactions with the staff during our stay. Christian, the bellboy who assisted us at check-in, was an absolute delight, and along with Oscar, he helped make our departure smooth and enjoyable. Many of the bartenders and servers were friendly and added a fun, welcoming energy to the experience. The cleanliness of the resort was never a concern and met our needs comfortably. Our room was a bit dated, and a few light bulbs were not working. However, the staff were responsive, and the issue was promptly addressed when we requested repairs. Overall, the attentive and friendly service made our stay very positive.
"Awesome!…if you don’t care about quiet bedtime or food choices for picky small children"
The resort’s absolutely beautiful natural surroundings truly make up for its smaller size. The views and setting are incredible. However, the sound of music from the resort’s activities—while really fun and lively—echoed into our rooms, making it difficult to rest or sleep. We were exposed to loud music until midnight each night, which could be especially challenging for families with children. The food was excellent, easily 10/10 in quality, but there were very few predictable options for children or guests who prefer simpler meals, such as fries, nuggets, or burgers. While there is a burger bus, it is only open during lunch, which limits accessibility. On the positive side, the staff were all extremely friendly, accommodating, and attentive, making our stay enjoyable despite the few challenges.
"I’d recommend this hotel."
We were happy with our overall experience. The resort has a great location, the staff are friendly, and the pool area is very nice. Our room was comfortable and well-maintained, providing a relaxing stay. The only downside was the balcony—it wasn’t very pleasant to sit on due to loud noise from a neighboring AC unit. Despite this, we still enjoyed our time and found the resort to be a good choice for a relaxing getaway.
"Stuck in the 80s"
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The property is very dated and in need of significant updates. There aren’t many on-site activities, so most entertainment requires leaving the resort. The food selection was repetitive and the same every day, though the drinks were good. If you’re not picky, it’s manageable, but it doesn’t feel like a true 4-star experience. Built in the 1980s, much of the resort still feels stuck in that era. While we had a wonderful time in Puerto Vallarta and would definitely visit again, we would choose a different resort next time.
"Overall fairly good experience"
The resort was very clean and well maintained, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. Their positive attitude and helpfulness truly stood out. However, the food selection at the buffet was somewhat subpar, with limited variety and options. In addition, there were not many restaurant choices available, which made dining feel repetitive after a while. With some improvements to the food quality and expanded restaurant options, the overall experience would be much better.
