"Swiss Business Class Didn’t Let Down"

LX339 from London Heathrow to Zurich with Swiss Airlines was one of the best flights I’ve taken recently. Their business class service was absolutely top-notch! While I’ve flown business class with Swiss before, this particular flight in August 2024 truly stood out. Priority boarding was smooth, and the cabin crew was very friendly and welcoming. The business class seat was spacious, which is essential for me as a tall person. The crew was attentive, offering assistance when needed. The meal was delicious—salmon, Swiss cheese, and fresh bread (as far as I remember), accompanied by a selection of juices, tea, and mineral water. The entire experience was seamless, and we arrived in Zurich on time. It’s a shame the flight was so short because the service was truly enjoyable. I highly recommend Swiss Airlines, particularly their business class, and I will definitely fly with them again!

"Pay for the throne seat"

From online check-in to arrival, everything was smooth. I paid extra for the throne seat, and it was definitely worth it—spacious with excellent privacy. I even took a peek at their first-class cabin, and honestly, I think my seat offered better value. However, there were a few drawbacks. They don’t offer pajamas or slippers, even on a long-haul red-eye flight, which I found a bit disappointing. The amenity kit was basic, containing only a dental kit, socks, and lip balm—no lotion or mist, which would have been a nice touch. The meal was good, but not as exciting as it sounded. I ordered the veal, which was a bit too salty for my taste, and the chocolate dessert didn’t live up to expectations. The blanket was a little thin, but still sufficient for the flight. Overall, it was a nice product, but I think they could add a few extra perks (like pajamas and slippers) to enhance the experience.

"Average"

Swiss Air might not be the top airline, but it's definitely underrated. I flew from London to Zurich and was honestly impressed. The legroom was spacious, which is rare for many airlines. The seats were decent, and the table was fine. The only downside was that I couldn’t find the button to recline my seat, and I only received a small bottle of water and dark chocolate. Overall, it’s an average experience, but much better than people give it credit for.

"SWISS needs to upgrade"

This was an OK flight, though it had more negatives than positives. First, the departure was delayed by about an hour, along with the boarding, due to the arrival of the incoming aircraft. Second, the inflight entertainment system was outdated and desperately needed an upgrade. The system still had a remote in the armrest, which was worn and dirty. Additionally, the cabin felt in need of a full refurbishment, as it hadn’t been upgraded to Premium Economy like on their 777s and A340s. My screen froze multiple times, and despite requesting a reset, it still didn’t work. The headphones and amenities were also low quality by airline standards. On top of that, the cabin crew seemed unresponsive and appeared to sleep for most of the flight. However, the food was great, served with metal cutlery, and the crew did apologize for the delays. They also handed out Swiss chocolates at the end of the flight, which was a nice touch. Overall, while the food and crew’s effort were appreciated, the outdated cabin and service left much to be desired.

"A Non-responsible Airline"

They rebooked our flight, which resulted in us arriving more than six hours late to our scheduled destination. Under Regulation (EC) No 261/2004, we are entitled to €600 in compensation per person for this level of delay. However, the airline falsely claimed that we were only delayed by three hours and has refused to take any action. This is completely unacceptable and reflects a lack of integrity and accountability. It’s clear that this airline is run by a management team that resorts to dishonesty rather than addressing customer issues responsibly.

"Nice surprise"

Very tasty food, good wine, and kind staff on board made for an enjoyable flight. The seats were quite comfortable, and the transit at Zurich airport was very convenient — 45 minutes was enough to make the connection. The only downside was the small selection of movies available for entertainment. Despite that, it was a pleasant experience overall.

"Met Expectations"

That sounds like a pretty smooth and friendly experience overall — especially with a cheerful check-in staff in Rome, which definitely sets the tone for travel! And yes, short-haul flights with Swiss usually go light on the service, but the signature chocolate is always a nice touch. Did your transfer in Zurich go smoothly too?

"Rating: 0/5 — Extremely Disappointed with Swiss Air Customer Service"

Thank you for sharing your experience—it’s completely understandable why you’d be upset. A flight cancellation is frustrating enough on its own, but to then be misled by airline staff about hotel accommodations and left stranded with your family late at night is simply unacceptable. The fact that Swiss Airlines provided no real-time solutions or follow-up support, and left passengers to fend for themselves, reflects serious gaps in customer care and crisis management. Spending your own money on an Uber and hotel after being promised assistance only adds insult to injury. For an international carrier, this level of disorganization and lack of accountability is shocking. Hopefully, by raising your voice, more passengers will be aware and the airline will be pressured to improve their service standards. Have you submitted a claim for reimbursement or compensation under EU261 or U.S. DOT regulations?

"Still waiting for them to answer me after 6 months…."

That sounds incredibly frustrating and stressful! Being diverted to a different city without any explanation, along with a significant delay of over 24 hours, is certainly unacceptable. It's even worse when you're left waiting for compensation for months with no response from customer service. In situations like this, it's important to continue pushing for the compensation you're entitled to. You might want to consider escalating the issue by contacting consumer protection organizations or aviation regulators in your country or within the EU. Since you’re traveling within the EU, the EU regulation 261/2004 entitles passengers to compensation for long delays and cancellations, depending on the circumstances. You could also consider using social media or public forums to get the airline's attention if traditional customer service channels are not responding. Stay persistent, and hopefully, you’ll get the resolution you deserve soon.

"Communications"

That's incredibly frustrating — being left in the dark at the airport is one of the worst parts of modern travel, even when the airline does eventually make it right. At least the rebooking on Emirates was a solid recovery. Did the Emirates flight go smoothly in the end?

"Avoid by all means, unless you want your trip to be disrupted"

I'm really sorry to hear about your ongoing frustrations with this airline. It sounds like your recent experience has been incredibly stressful and disappointing, especially with multiple delays, a canceled flight, and poor customer service on top of everything. It's infuriating when you're given false information, especially when you're entitled to compensation under EU261, and then have to deal with dismissive or unhelpful responses. I can totally understand why you'd feel like the airline is not worth the money, and it’s unfortunate that their service has been so consistently problematic. I hope you can find a more reliable and customer-friendly airline for your future travels. No one deserves to go through that level of inconvenience, especially when you're paying premium prices. Thank you for sharing your experience, as it may help others make more informed decisions when booking their flights!

"Class flight start to finish"

Wow, what a fantastic experience — that’s the kind of trip that makes you feel truly valued as a passenger. From the seamless upgrades to the personal touches like the birthday gift and private transfer in Zurich, it sounds like Swiss really delivered a first-class experience, literally and figuratively. Do you think you'll aim for First Class again next time, or was this a special occasion splurge?

"Avoid this airline"

I'm really sorry to hear about your disappointing experience with Swiss Airlines, especially while traveling with a baby and your mother. It sounds like you were expecting a higher level of service, especially after paying for business class, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. From the lack of priority baggage handling to the uncomfortable seat situation, and the delayed stroller, it seems like the airline fell short in several areas. And on top of all that, it’s incredibly frustrating that their policy left you stranded once before, with no warning about the automatic cancellation of your return flight. I understand why you feel let down, and it's completely valid to be upset after spending extra money on business class for better service and comfort, only to be disappointed. I hope the airline takes your feedback seriously, though I know that can sometimes be a struggle. I also hope that your next flight is much more comfortable and hassle-free, whether with Swiss or another carrier. It's so important to feel supported when traveling with a baby, and I hope future trips go smoothly for you!

"Uneventful"

I had a very good experience with this flight. Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The self check-in was quick and easy, and there were no delays. The flight itself was quite relaxing, almost like a bus ride in the air—simple, comfortable, and stress-free.

"LAX to Rome good food and wine"

That sounds like a win—especially scoring three seats to yourself on a short leg like Zurich to Rome! Did the long-haul flight feel smooth overall despite the tight seating?
