"Design at its best!"
If any hotel deserves the title of a design hotel, it is undoubtedly HTE Library. Every detail has been thoughtfully and exquisitely designed, making for a truly first-class experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, adding a personal touch that enhances the stay. The hotel is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the party mile while still being close enough to enjoy the vibrant surroundings. From the stylish interiors to the relaxing atmosphere, HTE Library offers a unique and memorable experience. We left completely delighted and will definitely be returning!
"The Library – room Bookmark"
We upgraded to the Bookmark Villa, and it was truly impressive—the room was enormous, featuring the largest bed I’ve ever slept in. It was impeccably clean and thoughtfully equipped with a full-sized fridge, a day bed, a lounge area, and a study desk with a Mac PC. The bathroom was spacious, including a large shower with excellent water pressure and a bidet toilet. Our in-room jacuzzi was a lovely touch, though it required maintenance to function consistently, as the water level would drop overnight. The bathroom lighting could be improved, as it was quite dark for makeup or grooming. Breakfast is served à la carte and was decent, though not particularly memorable. The pool areas were exceptional—spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and very inviting. Common area bathrooms were also kept in excellent condition. Overall, the combination of spacious, well-appointed rooms, attentive maintenance, and a prime location near the beach and Main Street made for a very enjoyable stay. The villa offered both comfort and convenience, making it a top choice for a relaxing and stylish getaway.
"Honeymoon Stop 2"
Our stay at this hotel was a mix of challenges and delights, but ultimately a very positive experience. We stayed in one of the Secret Chapter Villas, tucked away behind a hidden wall. While we encountered some issues with ants and initial cleanliness, the staff responded promptly after we raised our concerns, and we were later upgraded to the Editor Villa, which was much cleaner and equally private. The villas themselves are stunning, offering total privacy, their own pools and jacuzzis, and high-end amenities including a pantry, dining area, spacious bedroom with an 11-foot bed, large bathrooms with dual basins, and a 180° rotating TV. Daily housekeeping provides top-quality teas, coffees, snacks, and a dessert delivery every evening. Room service from the Page Restaurant was consistently excellent, with the option to dine indoors or outside by the beach. Breakfast was a highlight, with three delicious options and a beautiful setting by the beach. Staff were incredibly attentive, responding within minutes to any request. The hotel grounds could use some general maintenance to match the beauty of the villas, particularly the main pool bar area. Despite that, the location is ideal—just a five-minute walk to Central Mall and nightlife, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet. Overall, a luxurious, private, and memorable stay.
"All right."
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel right in the heart of Ko Samui. We booked a villa with a private pool, and it was simply perfect—spacious, comfortable, and relaxing. The hotel offers two beautiful swimming pools, a lovely beach, a well-equipped fitness room, and even a small cinematheque, making it ideal for both relaxation and entertainment. The staff were attentive and helpful, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. The only downside was the breakfast, which is served à la carte. Over several days, the limited variety became a bit repetitive, but the quality of the food was good. Overall, this hotel is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a central location, luxurious villa accommodations, and excellent amenities.
"Supposedly a five star but there was more to be desired."
The highlight of this property is undoubtedly the pool and the on-site Page Restaurant. You don’t even have to be a guest to enjoy the pool, which is a great bonus. I stayed in Room 7, which was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The bed, set on an elevated floor, had an extremely comfortable mattress and soft sheets, while the shower had excellent water pressure. Service throughout the hotel was adequate, though it didn’t quite reach a five-star standard. Dinner at the Page Restaurant was a standout—highly recommend the Massaman curry with sea bass. The in-room computer had outdated certificates, but the lobby computer worked well, which was a helpful alternative. The beach near the hotel is swimmable, though not as calm as other nearby spots. The property has two pools, one exclusively for hotel guests, with staff making an effort to keep casual beachgoers and Instagrammers at bay. Breakfast was visually appealing but could have been served warmer and more freshly prepared. Overall, the stay is best if you secure a good deal under $300 USD per night. It’s a stylish, comfortable property with great pools and dining, but those expecting a true five-star experience may find it falls slightly short.
