"If you can stay somewhere else, go elsewhere."
This hotel may be rated 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor and 5 stars by its own classification, but by international standards, it deserves no more than 3 stars. First Impressions: On arrival, we were greeted by “security guards” smoking right outside the front door, with access cramped by a scanner machine. The lobby felt dark and claustrophobic. At check-in, there were three unsupervised trainee receptionists with limited English, which made communication challenging. Thankfully, the luggage porter was efficient and helpful. The Room: The room was disappointing, with dated decor that looked far worse than in the photos—lurid colors and peeling surfaces. The lighting was so poor that to read a book in the evening, I had to move a chair into the wardrobe area. The bathroom and WC were clearly in need of renovation. There were no plugs for the basin (apparently common locally, but other Turkish hotels in Istanbul provided them), making it impossible to fill the sink to shave or wash small items.

The beach here is the best in Antalya, with convenient access via a lift and a very cool Batman-style tunnel. The rooms are spacious and spotless—we usually stay in connected family rooms, but this time we tried the rotating round building (yes, literally rotating!), which was a unique experience. A special thanks to Mr. Soner, the front office manager, who was as helpful as always and really made a difference to our stay. I first visited this hotel 15 years ago and have been coming regularly with my family for the past 4–5 years. It’s become our go-to spot in Antalya every summer. The pool is large and very clean, breakfast is excellent, and the service from the staff has been consistently outstanding in recent years. It’s great value for money and ticks all the boxes: beautiful beach, spacious rooms, great service, convenience, and an overall fantastic experience. I also have to mention the dive centre on the beach—it’s excellent! We dive with them every year and enjoy exploring the surprisingly rich marine life and rock formations underwater. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

Our favorite part of the stay was definitely the beach. Ramazan was absolutely fantastic—always helpful, smiling, and making us feel so comfortable. He really made our experience special, and we found ourselves looking for him every time we went down to the beach. Thank you, Ramazan, for everything!
"Quirky but not recommended"
This hotel is quite quirky for a 5-star property. While the facilities themselves are good, we encountered several issues during our stay. The garden area is open to the public, which led to an unpleasant experience on Saturday night when a group of local youths took over the space. Loud music, revving car and motorbike engines, and screaming continued until 4:00 am. We requested to leave the hotel due to this disturbance, but the management refused to refund our prepaid stay. Although they offered us a room upgrade and a discount as compensation, we were left dissatisfied with their attitude—not only regarding this incident but also in subsequent interactions. On a positive note, all other staff members were friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, due to the management’s handling of the situation, I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.
"Satisfaction and Employee appreciation"
The hotel has a simple elegance that makes it stand out. My wife frequently stays here for business, and we also come for vacations with our son. It’s truly the best city and resort hotel I’ve stayed in. The employees are polite, patient, and even animal-loving, which creates a very welcoming atmosphere. Special thanks to Melike and Ezgi, who took wonderful care of us at the pool and during breakfast—they made our stay feel extra special. Overall, I had a very peaceful and relaxing vacation here, and my level of satisfaction is very high. We look forward to returning again.

As a hotel, The Marmara is average, but the service and staff are truly professional and make the difference. I’d like to give special thanks to Mr. Ramazan, who works at the beach—he was exceptional throughout our stay. Hope to see you again next year!
"Overall the stay was nice we had 3 nights in the hotel."
The breakfast offered a huge spread with a focus on delicious Turkish cuisine. The Turkish bath was a nice experience, though slightly overpriced. I would have rated this stay 4 stars, but unfortunately, one of the staff members at reception misbehaved in the morning, which really spoiled my mood. Additionally, the location is a bit far from the old town, one of the main attractions of the city.
"Great location with own cliff beach."
The hotel has a fantastic location with its own cliffside beach, which was a highlight of our stay. The breakfast was very good, and the gym was excellent—well-equipped and spacious. Unfortunately, the rooms felt worn and in need of renovation, and the corridors also showed signs of wear. I would rate this hotel a maximum of 4 stars. That said, we still enjoyed our stay and would come back again.
"Absolutely great service from Melike!"
Firstly, we want to highlight that the service from the bar and restaurant staff was impeccable. A special mention goes to Melike, who truly went above and beyond. Her English was excellent—we were amazed to hear she hadn’t had formal lessons. She is a real gem, and the hotel would do well to reward her efforts, as it’s only a matter of time before she’s snapped up elsewhere. On the other hand, the reception staff were not as friendly or welcoming. When we arrived, we were given no information about breakfast times, meal options, pool usage, or towels. There were also occasions where we greeted staff with “good morning” or “good evening” and received no acknowledgment at all, which felt disappointing. The bedroom was another surprise. We weren’t sure if the bare concrete ceiling and poorly finished woodwork were intended as part of the design, but it didn’t reflect the 5-star standard we expected. That said, we still enjoyed our stay overall. The pool was great, the food selection was good, and there were moments of excellent service that made a difference.

We had a really good experience staying here. A special shout-out to Melike, who was so kind and welcoming to us all. She was always around to help whenever we needed anything, which made our stay even better.
