The St. Regis

"Great location, centrally located"
I was somewhat surprised by this St. Regis in comparison to others I’ve stayed at, particularly in Asia. The lobby feels less impressive, and the staff, while professional, is not quite as attentive as at other locations. The rooms are a bit smaller, and the butler service doesn’t match the high standard I’ve experienced elsewhere. On the positive side, the hotel boasts a fantastic location on Reforma, within walking distance of Roma Norte and Polanco, making it very convenient for exploring the city.
"You won’t regret"
An outstanding place to enjoy with your family! The staff went above and beyond for my birthday, surprising me with a cake and gloves, which made the day extra special. The pool is amazing, offering breathtaking views of the city and a perfect spot to relax. Dining at Diana’s restaurant is always a highlight, and we make it a tradition to celebrate New Year’s Eve there every year. The spa is truly one of my favorite places in the world, providing the ultimate in relaxation and pampering. This hotel delivers a wonderful combination of luxury, thoughtful service, and unforgettable experiences for the whole family.
"Fascinating"
This was my first time staying at the hotel, and the experience was excellent. The service was outstanding, and the stay itself was truly exquisite—perfect for enjoying everything Mexico City has to offer. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting CDMX.
"Perfect Stay in CDMX"
I stayed from August 2–9, 2025, in a Junior Suite. While the room cost a bit more than I initially planned, it was absolutely worth it. As a Lifetime Titanium Marriott member, I wasn’t offered an upgrade, but the suite was still fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The hotel’s style shows a touch of age, with wood paneling and carpet choices that feel slightly dated, and the bathtub is awkwardly positioned with limited natural light. The rainfall shower, however, was excellent. These are minor quibbles compared to the overall experience. What truly sets the St. Regis apart is its exceptional service. From arrival to departure, every staff member greets you with warmth and attentiveness, making you feel genuinely at home. Each evening, the butlers host a spectacular champagne sabering ceremony, a delightful touch that adds to the hotel’s charm. The location is unbeatable for exploring Chapultepec Forest, with easy access to Chapultepec Castle, the National History Museum, and the Anthropology Museum. While it isn’t near the traditional tourist areas like the Zócalo, it’s conveniently close to Roma and Condesa, offering fantastic rooftop bars and restaurants. The in-hotel restaurant is outstanding—I highly recommend the short rib tacos, though trying one of each variety is also a must. The bar is perfect for cocktails, reading, or people-watching, with glass doors that open onto the terrace when the weather is pleasant. The top-floor fitness center, pool, and spa provide stunning views of the city and mountains, making workouts and relaxation alike a memorable experience. One minor note: rooms facing the Diana Fountain roundabout may experience some late-night traffic noise, but it didn’t significantly disrupt my sleep.
"Nice stay"
A very nice stay overall. The room was spacious and well-appointed, featuring a small seating area, a separate desk, and a very comfortable bed, though it overlooked a construction site. Service was excellent—efficient, friendly, and attentive. The hotel also offers a nice gym and pool, adding to the overall experience. I would definitely return.
"Excellent Stay at the St. Regis"
The staff is what makes this hotel stand head and shoulders above other hotels. As soon as we arrived, the doormen were ready to help us with our luggage and helped guide our entrance to the hotel. The receptionist that checked us in was very kind and helpful in answering our questions One morning during breakfast, we told our waiter we were hoping to visit local markets, but we were a bit unfamiliar with the area. Our waiter, with the help of the concierge, wrote down the name and directions of a local market, where we were able to find everything we were looking for. The doormen, front staff and every other employee we encountered was always kind, courteous and professional. Kudos to the management of this hotel for setting such a high standard of customer service. Because of the exceptional service that we received during our stay, the next time we come back to Mexico City we will definitely return to the St. Regis hotel. Thanks!
"Great stay but could use some improvements"
I had a great stay at the St. Regis. The suite, food, and staff were all excellent, though there were a few areas that could be improved. As a Bonvoy Platinum member, I was upgraded to a one-bedroom suite without using a Nightly Upgrade Award. The suite was spacious and comfortable, with a separate bedroom that allowed for complete privacy and quiet—especially appreciated early in the morning. The bed was very comfortable, and the walk-in shower was fantastic, though there was a minor issue with water running out, which was promptly resolved by the butler. The living room sofa could use updating, and the towels felt thinner than expected with a few loose threads. The pressing service also fell short—guests receive two items per night, but some of mine weren’t handled properly, so I’d recommend bringing your own iron next time. The food was a highlight, especially Sunday brunch, which offered a wide variety of options suitable for dietary restrictions, and the green juice was delicious. The only other minor issue was with currency conversion—my booking was quoted in USD, but the final bill was converted through pesos, adding roughly $70 to the cost. Despite these small concerns, the staff truly made the stay exceptional. From the doorman to the butler, front desk, and restaurant team, everyone was friendly, attentive, and professional—the real shining stars of this hotel.
"EXCELLENT SUPER LUXURY HOTEL"
An excellent luxury hotel in CDMX, perfectly situated on Paseo de la Reforma in front of the Diana Fountain. Part of the Marriott chain, it offers flawless service, including attentive butler service, and a very nice restaurant with a lovely terrace. The gym is well-equipped and provides stunning views of the city. While some areas are scheduled for upcoming renovations, the property is currently well-preserved, and the attentive staff make a noticeable difference. The hotel also offers a top-notch buffet breakfast, truly among the best you’ll find at any hotel.
"Stellar management and subpar housekeeping"
The hotel is in a safe, convenient location close to major attractions. I considered booking the newer Ritz-Carlton but chose the St. Regis based on reviews. Overall, the service was exemplary, though housekeeping fell short during our stay. We left early for a tour of Teotihuacan and requested a light cleaning, but when we returned at 4 PM, the room hadn’t been cleaned. They sent someone immediately when we called, but the trash they collected was left in the room. Hotel management handled the situation professionally, apologizing profusely and sending a gift to make up for the mishap. The property is also beginning to show some signs of wear and tear. If I returned to Mexico City, I would likely try the Ritz-Carlton next time, though the St. Regis still offers a strong overall experience.
"Absolutely perfect stay"
From start to finish, this was sone of the best hotel stays we have ever had as a family. We were celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary and our son’s birthday and the staff made it one of the most memorable experiences we could have had. Given the care and hospitality of the team, I have no doubt we would have received the same treatment if we’d been there on a random weekend getaway and not celebrating something special. The breakfast was out of the world and the room was so comfortable we never wanted to leave. But outside your door are so many sights and great restaurants that you feel compelled to actually get out of your robe and put on real clothes every once in a while. Thanks for an amazing stay! We will be back!
