"Never again! Pure disappointment"

The Titanic will sink! Everything here is falling apart. The hotel is incredibly worn out, and the atmosphere is chaotic. Staff members argue openly among themselves, and everything seems to revolve around Russian guests who receive abnormal preference over others. In the Kids Club, only Russian-speaking staff were present; no one attended to the German/Turkish children. I repeatedly asked for German-speaking support so my kids could stay, but nothing changed. Hygiene was unacceptable. Our room was barely cleaned—just the beds made, no proper cleaning. Mold on the walls, rusted pipes, toilets that don’t flush properly, and after a shower, the entire bathroom floods because the shower doors don’t work. To make things worse, I found a worm in my cocktail! For what I paid, this vacation turned into a nightmare. The food is repetitive every day and far below expectations. The only saving grace was that the children had fun; otherwise, we would have cut our holiday short. Now I understand the overwhelming positive reviews—a staff member actually goes around asking guests for good reviews and even offers to write and submit them on their behalf. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

"Overall pleasant but the extra charges are atrocious."

We are still at the hotel with a couple of days left out of our 6-night stay, and I already feel compelled to write this review. For context, we’ve been to Turkey more than 20 times, often staying in different hotels, with one particular resort we loved so much that we’ve returned again and again. Sadly, this hotel doesn’t even come close to the standards we’ve come to expect in Turkey. Everything here is falling apart. The property is incredibly worn down, and the atmosphere feels chaotic. Staff members argue among themselves in front of guests, and Russian guests seem to get abnormal preference for everything. At the Kids Club, there are only Russian-speaking staff; no one looked after German/Turkish children. Despite raising this issue multiple times and asking for German-speaking support so our children could participate, nothing was done. Hygiene is another major issue. Our room is barely cleaned—beds are made, but no proper cleaning is done. Mold on the walls, rusted pipes, toilets that don’t flush properly, and after a shower, the entire bathroom floods because the shower doors don’t seal. To top it off, I found a worm in my cocktail. For the amount we’ve paid, this has been a deeply disappointing experience. The food is repetitive and lacks variety, nowhere near the quality we’ve enjoyed in other Turkish resorts. It’s also worth mentioning that staff are actively asking guests for positive reviews. One girl even offered to write and submit a glowing review herself if we’d just confirm it. This explains the overly positive ratings online. The only saving grace so far is that our children are enjoying themselves—otherwise, we would have considered cutting our holiday short.

"Perfect hotel"

Titanic Mardan Palace is an excellent hotel—I liked it so much! The Teenage Club has so many fun activities like football and water polo, which made my stay even better. A big thank you to all the staff, especially Berat, for making it such a great experience.

"A mixed review"

This was our first holiday abroad as a family of five, and I wanted to share some feedback to hopefully help others. The approach to the hotel and our first impressions were fabulous. Our kids were amazed, which was a lovely start. We stayed in a swim-up duplex room—a premium option with a Personal Assistant. Unfortunately, this is where things started to go downhill slightly. Our Personal Assistant was off sick on the first day, returned briefly, and then was off again for the rest of our stay. While this is understandable, there was no communication about it, and my messages went unanswered. As a parent managing three children, I’d been relying on this service to help things run smoothly, so this was disappointing. The room itself was spacious and well laid out, but it felt a little tired. The daily maid service was respectful, but there were areas that hadn’t been cleaned in a while (e.g., dust on the tops of the headboards), which I had to be mindful of due to family allergies. On a positive note, the food was a highlight. The variety in the main restaurant was excellent and kept everyone happy (not easy with young kids!). We tried most of the à la carte restaurants and particularly loved the Greek night with dancing—my children were thrilled. Service around the hotel, however, was inconsistent. As the May half-term progressed and the hotel got busier, we often had to wait to be seen or flag down staff for drinks. The cabana service (we booked for two days) was similar: food and drinks were delayed or forgotten altogether, which was stressful with hungry, restless children. To be fair, the staff were doing their best, but it seemed like there weren’t enough of them during peak times. Overall, we had a good holiday, but for the premium price, the experience didn’t fully match our expectations. I’m not sure we would return, especially during a school holiday. Families might want to consider other hotels with consistently strong service reviews if traveling during busier periods.

"More appearance than being…"

We chose this hotel based on glowing reviews and its reputation for being pure luxury—often compared to the Dolphin Imperial. Sadly, we were bitterly disappointed. The first impressions already gave us pause. The driveway fountain was dirty, and this lack of care seemed to extend throughout the hotel. Broken fixtures and noticeable dirt were visible in many areas. The sofas in the buffet restaurant and hallways had a strong odor of cat urine, which was unpleasant and impossible to ignore. Service was equally disappointing. Staff lacked friendliness—no warm greetings, no conversation, no smiles. It felt like they were just going through the motions rather than creating a welcoming atmosphere. The buffet offered the same food every day, whether morning, lunch, or dinner. The variety was lacking, and the taste was mediocre at best—not what we expected from a hotel marketed as luxurious. Other issues included: Sunbeds: If you don’t reserve between 7:00 and 8:30 a.m., you’ll have no chance of finding a spot by the pool or beach. Evening entertainment: While the animation was okay, the volume was excessively loud to the point of being painful. Overall, this hotel falls far short of a “high standard” and is nowhere near the level of luxury it claims. For us, it was a mediocre experience, and we would not return.

"Good, but not the greatest."

This hotel has one thing working for it: its publicity. For years, it’s been on my bucket list because it consistently appears in the top 5–7 hotels of Turkey, Antalya, on various lists and recommendations. But is it really deserving of that spot? I can’t say definitively since I haven’t visited them all—but in my opinion, there wasn’t anything here that I hadn’t already seen elsewhere. We arrived late in the evening and our room was ready, which was great. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, though the staff at reception wasn’t particularly friendly—more of a one-minute transactional process than a warm welcome or farewell. No issues overall, but no standout moments either. Our family room with a garden view (Anatolian side) was one of the more affordable options, yet absolutely beautiful. The balcony was huge, and although the room itself wasn’t very large, the spacious bathroom and open double doors made it feel more expansive. Storage space was limited; the small wardrobe barely fit our clothes for a week, and we used the balcony for extra storage. The minibar, included and replenished daily, had only basic options. Toiletries were sufficient—you don’t really need to bring anything from home. The air conditioning worked perfectly (room 5015). For couples without children, this room is ideal. With kids, however, the space might feel cramped. Overall, we loved the room and saw no reason to pay extra for larger accommodations. 5/5 for the room. The hotel itself is a statement of luxury. Marble, wood, gold accents, crystal chandeliers—it’s clear that no expense was spared during its construction in 2009. While there are areas that show signs of wear, the property remains impressive and well-maintained. The gardens are lush, with palm trees, flowers, and exotic plants beautifully arranged. Pools are stunning, sunbeds exceptionally comfortable, and the beach is lovely. There are plenty of bars and convenient amenities throughout the grounds. A quick note about sunbeds: if you’re picky about location (first rows at the beach or pool), you’ll need to wake up early to secure your spot. Otherwise, there are enough sunbeds to accommodate everyone. 5/5 for the hotel’s design and facilities. Food and drinks were where our experience became mixed. While there is an abundance of food available, the selection felt basic and repetitive. Each day offered the same dishes—no themed nights or creative variety like we’ve experienced in other Turkish resorts. It felt like an intentional move to push guests toward the à la carte restaurants (which aren’t included). Given the price we paid, I expected more culinary innovation. On the plus side, the desserts at the patisserie were excellent (don’t miss the waffles and ice cream), though the hours were odd. Drinks were excellent, featuring imported brands and bartenders capable of making anything you’d like. 3/5 for food, 5/5 for drinks. Service was inconsistent. While we didn’t encounter major issues and understand the all-inclusive concept, interactions often felt forced. Smiles seemed more obligatory than genuine. We tipped generously (€5–10 seemed fair), but service levels varied depending on the staff member. Around the pool and in the main restaurant, service was generally fast, though you have to be very specific when ordering (e.g., cold water, extra ice, preferred spirits). 4/5 for service. Entertainment and activities were average. Daily programs and evening shows were available but nothing particularly memorable or impressive. As a couple who prefers relaxing at the bar over participating in activities, we didn’t mind, but don’t expect standout performances. 4/5 for entertainment. Final thoughts: If you’ve visited Turkey before and are expecting something groundbreaking here, you might be disappointed. It’s a beautiful hotel with solid service, but not the place I’d choose to return to repeatedly. For the price, we’ve stayed in other resorts offering the same—or even better—quality. It feels like the hotel relies heavily on its reputation and isn’t striving to innovate further. While it’s undeniably grand and luxurious, it didn’t leave us with the “wow” factor we had hoped for.

"Amazing!"

Just back from an amazing stay here and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The food, drinks, and service were absolutely first class. The pool is huge and beautifully maintained—it never felt crowded, even during peak times. Our kids (aged 9 and 4) loved the kids club and had a blast on the water slides. While it’s true that some guests get up early to reserve sunbeds, we were usually down later (since the kids stayed up at night) and still managed to find plenty of loungers around the pool. If needed, the friendly waiters on roller skates are more than happy to help. We booked a beach cabana for one day, and it was well worth the extra cost for the comfort and service. The Asian à la carte restaurant was another highlight—delicious food and excellent service from Faruq, who made the evening extra special. One thing to note: there’s no ATM in or near the hotel, so bring enough cash for tips and extras. Otherwise, it’s about €30 return by taxi to the nearest shops. Overall, this is a fantastic resort for families, and we’d definitely recommend it for a relaxing and fun holiday.
