"Great Spot with Amazing Coffee, But Not Ideal on Busy Weekends"

I absolutely love this place—I visited three times during my vacation, which says a lot. However, my last visit was a bit disappointing. We ordered to-go coffees while waiting in line for a nearby breakfast spot, and despite paying the same price, the staff asked us to leave simply because our drinks were to-go. On top of that, they called out our names in an unnecessarily rude tone when the coffee was ready. It seems like the weekend crowds might be more than the staff can comfortably manage. Still, the coffee is fantastic, which is why I kept coming back.

"Excellent Coffee Roasted In-House with Friendly, Knowledgeable Staff"

The standout feature of this place is that they roast their own coffee beans—and, importantly, they don’t use the Torrefacto process that often gives Spanish coffee its harsh, burnt flavor. The result is a truly superior cup of coffee. They also offer a fantastic selection of beans to choose from. To top it off, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making the experience even better.

"Lively Café in Malasaña with Good Coffee and Friendly Service"

Located on the iconic La Palma street in the Malasaña neighborhood, this café is always buzzing with people and has a great atmosphere. The coffee is quite good—not the cheapest, but reasonably priced for the quality. The staff are friendly, helpful, and happy to offer recommendations. It's a great spot to meet up and enjoy a coffee, whether in the morning or during a relaxed mid-afternoon break. Overall, the price-to-quality ratio is fair, making it a solid choice for a casual coffee outing.

"Stylish Café with Great Ambiance, but Underwhelming Food and Coffee"

This café has a cool vibe and beautifully curated decor, featuring exposed oak beams, high ceilings, soft white walls, and a charming old-style terrazzo floor (see pics!). It's clearly a popular hangout spot, especially with the nearby university crowd. While the atmosphere impressed me, the food didn’t quite hit the mark. The vegan chocolate cake was dry, and both the cheese and vegan sandwiches were just okay. As for the coffee, it caters more to those who enjoy a sweeter and milder brew—not really my style. On the plus side, the staff were polite and courteous. Worth a visit for the ambiance, but I’d manage expectations on the food and coffee.

"Exceptionally Good Coffee in a Charming, Well-Decorated Spot"

This place is absolutely delightful—full of charm and beautifully decorated with great attention to detail. The coffee is truly outstanding; it’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a cup with such rich and satisfying flavor. I wholeheartedly recommend it to any coffee lover looking for both quality and ambiance.

"Charming Café with Tasty Drinks and Friendly Service"

This cozy little café has a lovely atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed break. The coffee and tea are excellent, and the food is just as enjoyable. The staff is warm and welcoming, adding to the pleasant experience. One small improvement would be to display prices for the sweet pastries offered during the day, as they aren’t listed on the menu. Still, it’s a delightful spot worth stopping by.
