The food here is solid—nothing groundbreaking, but tasty and enjoyable. I tried the meatballs, which were larger than I expected and very filling. They offer four types of Aperol, ranging from sweet to sour, wine-based, and classic. The drinks were strong and impactful, but overall, a good experience. 👍

Tonarello San Pietro offered an excellent experience from start to finish. The food was outstanding—particularly the carbonara, which was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The Tonarello spirits were refreshing and well-balanced, and the tiramisú surpassed even the famous “Two Sizes” version. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, with a special shout-out to our favorite waiter 🇵🇭 who made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

A very nice restaurant with great attention to detail and friendly, caring staff. Ronny, in particular, is professional while also warm and approachable. The food is delicious—from the potato, cheese, and pepper dishes to the tonnarello carbonara and amatriciana—served in generous portions. The only minor drawback is the focaccia offered with various sauces, which is tasty but slightly pricey; however, it’s convenient that leftovers can be taken home.

We had a wonderful experience at Tonnarello during our Christmas dinner—everything was simply perfect. A special thanks to Hadi, our waiter, whose kindness, professionalism, and attentiveness truly made the evening exceptional. He made us feel welcome from the very start, and his outstanding service elevated the entire experience. The atmosphere was incredible—warm, lively, and full of festive energy, perfectly capturing the spirit of Rome during the holidays. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Rome and looking for great food, excellent service, and an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be returning!

This charming Roman tavern is just a few steps from St. Peter’s Square. We visited on 25/10/25 as a couple and had to wait about 15 minutes due to the busy crowd. For our meal, we started with the potatoes, cheese, and pepper appetizer—which was good, though slightly different from what I expected. For the first courses, we had carbonara and amatriciana, both very tasty, although the portions felt a bit smaller compared to other taverns in the area. Service was great and fast, perhaps even a little too attentive, as we were asked if everything was okay at least ten times.
