My experience was very disappointing. The staff who answer calls are unfriendly, making the process of buying tickets unnecessarily stressful. Since there is no competing company, passengers have no choice but to deal with poor responses despite paying for each ticket.

Our jacket was stolen while we were exiting for the Nicaragua border. We were the last passengers to leave, so it was either staff or border control. Nothing was taken from other passengers. Be prepared: Ticas at the border don’t speak English, and since there’s no extra money involved, you will receive no assistance. Travelers should learn how border crossings work and what to expect.
