"Mixed Experience: Good Food but Slow Service and Lacking Details"

We dined as a group of 14 with reservations made well in advance. Aside from one other patron finishing their meal, the restaurant was empty. Drink orders (mostly beers) took over 20 minutes to arrive from the single server. The food also took a long time, which is somewhat understandable given the group size. Food quality was hit or miss: the loin dish was excellent (5/5), the hamburger was average (3/5), creamy rice was good (4/5), but the octopus was very rubbery. Service was moderately friendly but inattentive—the server seemed more interested in his phone than checking on our tables. There were also basic issues like no toilet paper in the women’s bathroom and no hand towels in the men’s. Another customer who came in during our meal waited 15 minutes without being acknowledged and left for another restaurant.

"Amazing Food and Atmosphere – A Must-Visit in Aguas Calientes"

The vegan sandwich was absolutely epic, and my friend said it was the best ceviche she’d had in all of Peru! The restaurant itself is a charming little wooden shack with cozy chairs and a wonderful, relaxed atmosphere. It’s a super cool spot to enjoy lunch or dinner and just chill. I highly recommend this place if you’re in Aguas Calientes!

"Underwhelming Food and Atmosphere"

The food was just okay, but I ordered my meat medium and even after complaining, it came back rare. The atmosphere was also lacking at times—completely quiet with no music or background ambiance.

"A Peaceful Escape with Simple, Comforting Food"

Tucked away just 50 steps up a stairway alley west of the main square, this spot feels like an atmospheric refuge from the touristy chaos of town. The food is simple, wholesome, and comforting. I had the chicken soup and quinoa salad—both were fresh, unpretentious, and exactly what I needed.

"Poor Service and Disappointing Food"

The service was terrible—if you can even call it service. The food was either overly sweet or far too salty, and it actually made me feel sick afterward. It was also the first time I’ve ever had a tomato soup that was sweet! On top of that, the prices were way too high for what was offered. Definitely not worth it.

"Fantastic Food and Cocktails – Worth the Walk!"

Definitely worth the walk uphill! The food was fantastic with an upscale touch, and everyone in our group loved their entrees. The cocktails were excellent as well. I highly recommend this spot!

"Tasty Food but Pricey with Small Portions"

The food was absolutely delicious, but the portions were quite small for the price. While the quality was good, it felt a bit expensive for what was served.

"Almost Perfect – Loved the Pumpkin Soup!"

If I could, I’d give this place 4.5 stars. The pumpkin soup was absolutely fantastic—I loved it! 😊

"Delicious Food and Outstanding Service"

The food here was fantastic! It was the best ceviche I’ve had in the area. We also tried the prawn chowder and the tenderloin grilled in coffee sauce—every dish was excellent, and everyone in our group loved their meal. Rydi, our host, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the experience even better.

"Good Food but Not Safe for Gluten Allergies"

The food here was good, but if you have a gluten allergy or celiac disease, be very careful. The menu and waitress assured me my meal was gluten-free, but I became flushed and feverish immediately after eating. For those without allergies, it’s likely an enjoyable spot, but for anyone with dietary restrictions, I wouldn’t recommend it.
