"Excellent Hotel but Bad Tour Guide"
Treeline Urban Resort is a true gem in Siem Reap, offering charm, comfort, and convenience for travelers. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly, always eager to assist and make your stay special, though not all speak fluent English, which can occasionally make getting detailed local recommendations a bit challenging. The hotel itself is even more beautiful than the online photos suggest. The rooms are charming, comfortable, and cool—perfect after a day exploring Angkor Wat and the surrounding attractions. The only minor drawbacks were weak water pressure in the shower and the absence of a gym, though a fully equipped gym is conveniently located just down the street. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Pub Street and within reach of many key spots in town. The spa was exceptional, and we enjoyed one of the best massages of our trip. Meals, service, and amenities like the cold, comfortable rooms made our stay very relaxing. The only negative aspect of our experience involved the hotel-arranged tour guide. While the tour itself was enjoyable, the guide steered us to a local art gallery under the guise of sob stories and asked personal, inappropriate questions, creating an uncomfortable situation. This seems to reflect a wider cultural issue regarding generosity toward American travelers. Despite this, the hotel itself cannot be fully held responsible, and with awareness, travelers can navigate these situations. Overall, despite this hiccup, I highly recommend Treeline Urban Resort. It offers a beautiful setting, excellent amenities, attentive staff, and a prime location in Siem Reap, making it a perfect retreat after a day of sightseeing.
"A beautiful calm haven."
This exceptional hotel, beautifully decorated with stunning artwork, offers a truly relaxing haven. Its brilliant location makes it ideal for river walks, visiting night markets, and exploring nearby temples. The staff are wonderful—calm, helpful, and respectful—and go out of their way to ensure every guest enjoys a comfortable and memorable stay.
"Lovely hotel"
This is such a lovely hotel with many positives. The room was very comfortable, with powerful yet quiet air conditioning that handled the April heat perfectly. The balcony was private and shaded, and the room was always spotlessly clean. The hotel is well-located, making it easy to walk to local attractions. The attached restaurant serves excellent food, including good vegetarian options, and the service there was top-notch. Brown’s coffee shop next door is a convenient addition. Unfortunately, our stay was slightly marred by the checkout experience. Despite our stated 2 p.m. checkout time, we received a call at 12:10 p.m. asking us to leave. Although we provided proof of our checkout time, the receptionist still insisted we vacate the room immediately without any apology. We were then questioned about taking the hotel slippers, which we had not done, in a manner that felt embarrassing in front of other guests. While we did our best not to let this affect our overall impression, the rude checkout left a sour note at the end of an otherwise very good stay. While the hotel offers excellent service and comfort, this experience makes us hesitant to return, especially with many other options available in the area.
"A gem of a hotel in a pearl of the orient. Simply gorgeous"
This hotel is an absolute jewel, with fabulous staff, a gorgeous setting, terrific service, and beautiful rooms. Having traveled to over 120 countries and countless properties, I can confidently say this ranks among my top three stays worldwide. Siem Reap itself is clean, friendly, and safe, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
"Potential to be the best hotel in Siem Reap"
This is a very good hotel with many positive attributes, including a good menu selection for vegetarian diets. However, the vegan and lactose-free options were not always as stated—for example, some vegan dishes included mayonnaise. Despite this, the offering is still better than many other hotels in Siem Reap. There were some inconsistencies between the information provided and actual service, such as the mention of free airport transportation, eco-friendly laundry practices, and turn-down service, which were not fully applied. That said, the staff were excellent, always happy to help, though it was noticeable that some were tired, likely due to long working hours without enough off-days. With some adjustments to information accuracy and a stronger focus on staff wellbeing, the hotel could truly become a pioneer in sustainable hospitality.
"Beautiful boutique hotel near downtown with easy access to Angkor Wat"
This fantastic hotel, located next to the river in downtown Siem Reap, offers spacious rooms and a peaceful atmosphere while being close to shopping and restaurants. The staff provided exceptional service, and the rooftop pool was a lovely bonus. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
"Best place in best temple city"
The hotel boasts a superb location and huge, immaculate rooms with modern décor—perfect for a comfortable stay. Sokney and Monei at the concierge desk were exceptional, assisting us with restaurant bookings, shows, and even activities like cooking classes and Apsara performances for my son. Their attentive service truly sets this hotel apart, especially in a city full of boutique hotels. The breakfast was good, though after six nights we found the menu a bit repetitive; some variety in the future would be welcome. The rooms were spotless and spacious, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job each day, especially taking care of allergies for my son when Sokney communicated our requests. While the restaurant manager was less helpful, the reception staff more than made up for it with their professionalism and assistance. Overall, an outstanding stay in a prime location.
"Must stay !!! Attention to detail is amazing ."
Everything about this stay was exceptional! The food was delicious, with both buffet and wonderful à la carte options included at breakfast. The rooms exceeded our expectations, and the staff were fantastic—attentive, friendly, and professional. If it were possible to rate higher than five stars, we absolutely would.
"Expensive but functional."
The hotel enjoys a great location and offers a good breakfast, though it is not buffet-style. Prices are on the higher side, with taxes and fees adding up to about a quarter of the bill. The hotel lacks a clear sign, making it a bit tricky to find. The menu is limited and primarily caters to Western tastes. Despite booking a room with a large bed, we were given two separate beds, and small amenities like a toothbrush were missing. While convenient, there are a few areas where improvements could enhance the guest experience.
"Perfect location and top quality service"
This hotel is a must for anyone visiting Siem Reap and exploring Angkor Wat. Its location is just a short walk from the main dining and nightlife areas, with affordable tuk-tuks available outside the hotel for trips to the temples. From the moment we arrived, the staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel itself is modern, clean, and very relaxing. The spa offered great value, and the pool was the perfect place to unwind after a day of sightseeing. The on-site restaurant served tasty and reasonably priced meals, and the à la carte breakfast was delicious. Our only minor issue was locating the reception upon arrival, which was quickly resolved thanks to the helpful staff, though a clear reception sign would be useful. Overall, a fantastic hotel and highly recommended!
