"A Culinary Gem in Cusco – Wish We Had Discovered It Sooner"

We were recommended this restaurant by a local for its great steak, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. Our server was not only professional but also very knowledgeable about the menu and its ingredients, enhancing the overall dining experience. The service was excellent from start to finish. We only wish we had found this spot earlier in our trip so we could have returned to try more of their delicious offerings.

"Delicious Food at Uchu, But Service Could Be Improved"

Our experience at Uchu was a mix of exceptional flavors and slow service. We started with the cochinita tacos and shrimp-stuffed potato—both appetizers were very tasty and set a promising tone. For the main course, we shared the mixtura al máximo, a flavorful combination of pork loin, tenderloin, and house-made chorizo. Everything was perfectly cooked and full of rich flavor. The accompanying soups were also a standout, adding an extra comforting touch to the meal. However, the service left something to be desired. Despite the restaurant not being very busy, we experienced delays in receiving our food and drinks. Our two mocktails, while delicious, took quite a while to arrive. Additionally, all of our dishes were brought out at once, even though we had specifically asked for the appetizers to be served first. We ended on a high note with the chocolate madness dessert—it was decadent and satisfying. Overall, Uchu serves truly delicious food, but the dining experience would be much better with more attentive service.
