"Pronounced hotel despite…"
The staff at Umiltà 36 were delightful and welcoming, providing quick and efficient service. In-room dining orders were delivered promptly and of good quality. The hotel has one main restaurant on the first floor serving all three meals. While seafood dominates lunch and dinner, options for those who don’t enjoy seafood are limited. However, the bar offers express and international choices like sandwiches and burgers, and there is also a rooftop bar on the sixth floor. I stayed in their spacious “apartment with terrace,” spread over two floors with a total area of 57 square meters. Amenities include Diptyque toiletries and Marvis toothpaste and mouthwash. The huge terrace features lounge chairs, a round table for four, and a rectangular table with sofa seating—perfect for relaxing outdoors. The fitness center, located on the first floor and open 24 hours, is small with only a treadmill, cycling machine, and some dumbbells. For a five-star hotel, the gym could be more extensive, which was a minor disappointment. Overall, I would rate this hotel 8/10. It is ideal for those wanting to stay in the heart of Rome, though for the price, there are more competitive options.
"Expectations Exceeded!"
This was our second trip to Rome, and our experience at Umiltà36 made this visit far better than the first. The accommodations are exceptional, but the true highlight is the graciousness and hospitality of the staff. Alessandra, the concierge, went above and beyond to meet all our needs, offering excellent recommendations for off-the-beaten-path restaurants we never would have discovered on our own. Laura and the kitchen staff were friendly and welcoming, remembering our orders from the previous day and making us feel right at home. I cannot recommend Umiltà36 enough and cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Rome.
"Has the potential to be perfect"
This hotel is truly beautiful and boasts a fantastic location, making it ideal for exploring the majority of Rome’s main sights. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, and quiet despite being in the heart of the city. The bathrooms and showers are amazing, adding a touch of luxury to the stay. On the downside, the curtains in our room didn’t fully close, which made the room bright early in the morning and affected our ability to sleep in and fully relax. Service was also a bit inconsistent—while some front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, others seemed annoyed when asked for assistance. For instance, when some of my clothing items were mistakenly sent out for pressing, the staff seemed irritated when we requested them back promptly. Overall, we were happy with our stay. Addressing these minor issues would make an already wonderful hotel experience nearly perfect.
"Fantastico! Very nice hotel and excellent service."
My wife and I absolutely loved this hotel. Its location is fantastic—within walking distance of nearly all the major sights you’d want to visit in Rome. The service was excellent throughout our stay. Simone from the front desk was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, while Laura runs a fantastic breakfast that we enjoyed every morning. We would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the city.
"A hidden Oasis of style & decadence"
Reflecting on our recent stay at Umiltà36, it’s clear why this hotel consistently receives high praise. From the moment you enter, the property exudes style and decadence, and the staff work tirelessly to maintain both its luxurious upkeep and high standard of guest service. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with luxury pillows and elegant furnishings that make for a unique and classy experience. The location is ideal—within walking distance of most major sites, shops, and eateries. While many nearby food outlets cater to tourists with similar offerings, venturing slightly off the beaten path allows access to more authentic cuisine at better prices. For a seamless experience, the hotel’s airport transfer service, though pricier than standard shuttles or taxis, provides reliable and comfortable door-to-door service. During our stay, we encountered a few minor issues where expectations didn’t align perfectly, but the hotel was always willing to discuss and resolve them where possible. Overall, Umiltà36 is a wonderfully appointed boutique hotel that made our vacation in Rome both comfortable and memorable.
"Looking forward to the next trip"
Our stay at the hotel was excellent. Laura from the breakfast team was a very friendly and welcoming hostess, making each morning a pleasure. The only minor issue was an unexpected housekeeping visit the night before we left, which was unusual as it hadn’t occurred on previous nights. Overall, a very positive experience.
"Seems like a nice hotel but…"
I was planning a family vacation and visited the hotel beforehand to get a feel for the property. The location is excellent and the hotel itself seemed very nice, particularly the first-floor common areas. The doorman was extremely friendly and helpful, offering guidance on places to eat and sights to visit, which was a positive start. However, my experience with the front desk team—via email and phone—was disappointing. A family member requires a room with a bathtub due to a health condition. Despite calling three months in advance to confirm availability and booking the appropriate room category, I was told that the hotel could not guarantee such a room, as there are only two with bathtubs. Their suggested solution was to book the penthouse, essentially an upsell, which left me feeling frustrated and let down. While the property itself seemed promising, the front desk service did not meet the level of care one would expect from a hotel with Michelin Key status. As a result, I will be taking my business elsewhere.
"Great hotel and super comfort"
This hotel is ideally located for exploring all the main points of interest in the city. Our room was very large, quiet, and equipped with a comfortable bed, while the bathroom was also spacious. The minibar, included in the price, was replenished daily along with two additional bottles of water. Breakfast was very good and varied, featuring fresh produce, and the staff were helpful and kind. The hotel also has a restaurant specializing in fish dishes. One minor improvement could be made to the room’s curtains, as some light filters through between them. Overall, a great stay at a good price.
"Great hotel near the Trevi Fountain"
This tasteful luxury hotel is located just a 10–15 minute taxi ride from Rome Termini Station and only a few minutes’ walk from the Trevi Fountain. The area is lively, with plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby. The building itself is historic, yet the interior is modern, luxurious, and filled with a welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are simple, well-designed, and easy to use, with luxurious, comfortable beds. The shower booth, toilet, and sink are in the same room, though the shower has its own door. Rooms are cleaned thoroughly and maintained to a high standard. Guests can occasionally hear the bells of the nearby church, adding to the authentic Roman experience. The restaurant features beautiful furnishings and tableware, providing a pleasant atmosphere for meals. Breakfast is simple, but egg dishes are available on request. All staff are very helpful, ensuring a comfortable stay. While the accommodation fee is on the higher side, the hotel delivers a highly satisfactory experience overall.
"Highly recommend"
This is a very nice hotel and easily our best experience in Rome so far. The location is perfect—just steps from the Trevi Fountain, with many restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is very clean, with excellent service and a modern interior design. The food is tasty, and the bar menu is enjoyable, making for a thoroughly satisfying stay.
