"Tasty Japanese Bites in a Cozy but Tight Space"

The food was enjoyable overall. We tried the takoyakis and okonomiyaki — while not the best I've ever had, they were still quite tasty. The rice, however, didn’t impress me. For dessert, the mochis were delicious and a highlight, but the cheesecake had a chewy texture we didn’t really enjoy. The ambiance is pleasant, though the space is a bit narrow and the chairs aren’t very comfortable. Service was polite and adequate. A decent spot with room for improvement.

Konnichiwa on Preciados is a great spot if you're craving flavorful Japanese food and a break from the hustle and bustle of central Madrid. What stood out most to me was the decor—thoughtfully detailed with a well-executed, street-style Japanese charm that creates a cozy and immersive atmosphere. We ordered the ramen and teriyaki chicken, and both dishes were delicious and nicely presented. While it may not be the top Japanese restaurant in the city, it certainly has its own unique appeal and is worth a visit.

"Correcto, pero con margen de mejora"

Fuimos a cenar motivados por las buenas reseñas, y aunque la experiencia no fue negativa, salimos con la sensación de que hay mejores opciones en la zona. El restaurante está bien ubicado, con una decoración acorde al estilo de locales similares, y el servicio fue amable y atento. En términos generales, no es un mal sitio, pero la comida podría mejorar, especialmente el takoyaki, que resultó bastante decepcionante. Sin esperar una calidad igual a la de Japón, fue uno de los peores que he probado en España. Como aspecto positivo, ofrecen varias opciones vegetarianas y veganas. El Donburi Yasai estaba realmente bueno, y el Gyudon cumplía. En resumen, no tuvimos una mala experiencia, pero teniendo en cuenta la competencia cercana con mejor relación calidad-precio, esperaba un poco más.

"Authentic Japanese Vibes and Tasty Bites in the Heart of Madrid"

I was initially hesitant to try this spot, as I’ve yet to find a truly great Japanese restaurant in Madrid—but I’m glad I gave it a chance. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere captures that cozy, authentic “hole-in-the-wall” Japanese feel, with wooden details, hanging lanterns, and dim lighting that set the tone perfectly. The menu offers a solid variety of options. We went with the Katsu bao, gyozas, and a few sushi rolls. The standout for me was definitely the Katsu bao—it was a DIY dish with tender pork served in a hot pot, and it was absolutely delicious. The gyozas were also tasty, and the sushi was decent. We tried a roll with mango, cream cheese, and salmon—it was a bit of an unusual combo, but still enjoyable. Overall, the ambiance and flavors made for a pleasant experience. I’d definitely return if I’m in the area again.
