Welcome to Review My Experience. These Terms govern your use of our platform.

1. Definitions

“Platform” means Review My Experience. “User”, “You”, means any person using our platform, whether as a consumer or business. “Consumer” means any reviewer posting experiences. “Business” means companies with a profile to respond or manage reviews. “Content” means reviews, responses, images, and any text you upload.

2. Acceptance

By using Review My Experience, you agree to these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use our services.

3. For Consumers (Reviewers)

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter binding contracts to use our service as a reviewer.

3.2 Posting Content

  • Reviews must be based on your own genuine experience with a product or service.
  • You agree not to post content that is defamatory, discriminatory, misleading, or that violates the rights of others.
  • No impersonation. You must not post reviews on behalf of someone else or use false identities.
  • No incentive: You must not offer or accept any incentive in exchange for a review that is positive, negative or conditional.

3.3 Rights in Content

By posting reviews, you grant Review My Experience a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, display, distribute, modify, and adapt the content in connection with the Platform.

3.4 Review Moderation & Removal

We reserve the right to remove or hide any review or content that breaches these Terms. Users may flag content. If a review is found to violate policies (e.g. fake, misleading), we may remove it permanently.

4. For Businesses

4.1 Business Profiles & Claiming

Businesses may claim their profile, verify ownership, respond to reviews. By claiming, you confirm you have authority to represent the business.

4.2 Responsibilities of Businesses

  • Respond to reviews in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Do not solicit fake reviews or manipulate ratings.
  • Do not misrepresent your business or create fake experiences.
  • Comply with applicable laws (consumer protection, advertising, data protection).

4.3 Terms of Sale / Payments (for paid features)

If you use paid features (premium business features, subscription plans), you agree to the payment terms provided at time of purchase. All fees are non-refundable unless stated. Review My Experience may change fees or offerings with prior notice.

5. Code of Ethics

We are committed to high ethical standards. All users must adhere to the following:

  • Honesty: Only post truthful reviews and accurate business responses.
  • No discrimination: Avoid offensive, abusive, or discriminatory language.
  • Transparency: Disclose any affiliation or conflict of interest with companies when relevant.
  • Fair use of features: Do not abuse reporting tools, do not use multiple accounts to inflate ratings.

6. Fake Reviews and Manipulation

Review My Experience has zero tolerance for fake reviews. “Fake reviews” are those not reflecting a genuine purchase, experience, or that are posted to manipulate ratings. This includes:

  • Reviews paid for or incentivized to express a certain sentiment.
  • Reviews by business owners, employees, or friends/family to boost rating.
  • Posting reviews about competitors to damage their reputation.
  • Any automated reviews or bulk posting without valid interaction.

When fake or manipulated content is discovered, we will remove it, suspend or ban users/businesses involved, and may take further legal action.

7. Data, Privacy & User Rights

Use of data is governed by our Privacy Policy and User Data Deletion Policy. You can request your data, correct it, and delete it as outlined in those policies.

8. Limitation of Liability

We attempt to keep the Platform accurate and consistent, but we don’t guarantee it will always be error-free. Review My Experience is not liable for indirect losses or damages arising from content posted by users or businesses.

9. Termination / Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts (consumer or business) at any time for violations of these Terms or misuse of the Platform, with or without notice.

10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Hong Kong. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of hong Kong.

11. Updates to Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. You’ll be notified or the changes will be posted. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
